Mike’s POV
As I walked to Nat’s room I couldn’t help growing more and more nervous. What the fuck? I’m not supposed to be like this! It’s just about sex, right? Then why does it bother me so much? It bothers me that she doesn’t talk or look at me, it bothers me that she rather spend her time with anyone else but me, it bothered me that this meant really nothing to her, apparently.
Well, it was time to do something nice for her and this was it. I fixed my hair one last time and took a deep breath before knocking her door. Nat opened it without a word and let me in, walking back to the bed where she picked up her skirt and pulled it on. I noticed then her ass was still red from last night, but for some reason I couldn’t find it the least amusing.
I rubbed my face. “Hey, Nat. How are you?”
“Okay.” She shrugged. God, this shit wasn’t going to be easy.
“Alright…” I stuffed my hands in my pockets and watched her while she got ready. It’s not like I made any difference being there. “So, what do you wanna eat?”
She took her time finishing her hair before looking at me with a little smirk. “I thought you had this all planned out? It doesn’t matter to me.”
I raised an eyebrow, trying to remain calm. “Well, I want to be nice, so your pick. I think I owe you after last night.” I said with a smirk. Nat wasn’t amused though; she glared at me briefly and then sighed.
“I told you I already had lunch plans. You’re making me break them Mike. So you choose.”
“Why are you even going with me then?” I sighed and rubbed my face, looking at her blankly. Nat stared back unbelievingly and shook her head, shrugging off the question.
“Let’s just… go downstairs.”
But I wasn’t giving in so easily. If this was enough to bother me it might as well bother her. So I leaned on the door, not going anywhere. “No, seriously. I wanna know. Why are you agreeing to this if you don’t talk to me or look at me or nothing really?”
“Didn’t we go through this last night?” She said glaring slightly again. “You made it seem like I didn’t have a choice. But now that I’m willing to go through with it you’re asking questions?” She raised an eyebrow, confused. I know I was too.
“I’m asking cause I feel like I’m forcing you! And I don’t want that…” I stopped and sighed, trying to figure out what to say. “Whatever I said last night, I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable... hell, I don’t wanna feel uncomfortable and right now I do.” I pulled the sweetest face I could manage and looked at her.
“You’re not forcing me, I’m willing! So let’s just... go have lunch.”
“You sure?” I asked sheepishly.
“Yeah, I’m sure.” Nat smiled and grabbed the key card, sliding it into her cleavage and I had to repress a chuckle. “Ready if you are.” She said with another smile.
I smiled back and led her out the room, placing my hand on the small of her back.
But perhaps, this wasn’t such a great idea, cause after 10 minutes I couldn’t wait for her to SHUT THE FUCK UP.
“I don’t plan on doing this forever, you know? Being a stylist? I mean, once I wanted to be like, this superstar hairdresser for Britney Spears or Beyonce or somebody.” She laughed. “That was just me being young, and inexperienced. I’d totally take opening up my own salon instead of traveling around with spoiled celebrities. My dad thinks it’s a sign of me growing up. But then again, this is the same man who tried to get me into acting. It was fun for a while, I got some jobs, a few commercials even. But he’s sort of a stage dad. You know what that is, don’t you?” Eyes roll. “Yeah… he’s one of those…”
And so on… and so on… I tried my best to keep interested, but the truth is, she lost me after five words. I think I liked her better when she wouldn’t talk to me, for real. What was I thinking? Sex isn’t going to improve with conversation and being friends! If anything, it will make it worse cause now I have her squeaky voice stuck in the back of my head and it’s nothing like the moans and whines of when we’re together. After on hour or so of being tortured (cause it was as near to torture as I know) I walked her back to her room, planning to hide from her at least for the rest of the day.
This is going nowhere and I’m not forcing any of us to do this anymore. I hope she didn’t notice though, I still don’t want her thinking I’m an asshole.

Natalie’s POV
After lunch, I went back upstairs alone, and started getting ready to leave for the venue. I don’t think I’ve been that bored in ages. I ran my mouth because Mike wouldn’t, and in the end it just started pissing me off. And then he had the nerve to act like he was listening to me when I could totally tell he wasn’t. It’s clear as day that he’s an asshole and I have no idea why I’m wasting my time on him.
I looked at myself up and down in the mirror and shook my head. I’d dressed nice, and it had all gone to waste. I slid my skirt back down my hips and stepped out of it, replacing it with a pair of comfy jeans. While I was brushing my hair back into my signature work bun, my phone started buzzing and jumping around on the dresser. I checked it with a smile.
"Open up" was all it said.
I grinned and pulled the door open to find Brendon grinning right back at me.
“Hey, where were you?” He asked.
I sighed, shrugging my shoulders as he looked me over, leaning against the wall. “Just had some other... prior... things I had to take care of. Hope you’re not mad at me.”
“Course not.”
“Good.”
We both chuckled and I sat down on the bed, pulling back on my shoes.
“So,” Brendon began, clearing his throat.
“Yes?”
“Now you owe me a lunch date.” He smirked.
“Do I?” I teased.
“Yes. You do. I was thinking, maybe we could do something later? After the show?”
Now I knew that Mike said that we were supposed to be exclusive. But he was an ass who bored me to death when we weren’t fucking. And besides, Brendon and I were just... friends. I mean, sure there was a certain spark between us sometimes, and then there was the almost kiss, but... No. We were just friends. And friends are allowed to go out together occasionally.
“Yeah, that’ll be fun.” I answered finally, tying my shoe and glancing back up for his reaction.
“Great!” He replied, and we kind of just smiled at each other for a minute. It was sort of awkward. And that’s when Taylor came in and raised an eyebrow at us.
“A-aalright. I’ll just grab my stuff and leave. There’s condoms in the drawer, just remember that the van leaves in thirty.” She said with a chuckle.
I rolled my eyes and stood up. I really didn’t know what to say as she and Brendon both were smirking smugly so I just ignored it. “And where are you coming from?” I asked.
“Lunch, where else?” She giggled as Ryan popped his head through our door.
This time I raised an eyebrow. “Some lunch. Hello Ryan.”
“Hey...” He chuckled, cheeks already red. He cut his eye at Brendon and smiled at him. Bren returned the look with one I couldn’t see as the back of his head was facing my direction and then they giggled.
Boys really are worse than we are.
“Come on in and join the party...”
“Hell no, who knows what kind of things you freaks could get engaged in. Not participating... Sorry.” Taylor said to me before going into the bathroom.
“Shut up Tay.” I groaned, blushing.
Ryan chuckled and pushed the door to come in. That’s when I spotted William walking by, doing a double take. He caught the door from Ryan, holding it open and looking at me curiously.
“Hey guys… Hey Nat. Where’s Taylor?”
“Bathroom.” I answered.
“Oh. Well could you tell her I wanna… talk to her?”
I didn’t have to. Taylor came out just then. “Okay, I’m ready to--” She stopped cold when she saw William. “What are you doing here?”
“I just wanted to talk to you. I thought I could catch you alone before we leave.”
I coughed, a little uncomfortable, and glanced over at Bren and Ryan, who obviously were too.
“Um, we’re just gonna go downstairs… I guess.” I began awkwardly, eyes darting between Ryan and Brendon.
“Yeah, um… Taylor?” Ryan said, watching her.
“I’ll be right down…” She said, back. I noticed she smiled at Ryan slightly and gave Bill a blank look. I bit back a giggle and led the other two boys out of the room and into the hall.
