Pete and Alicia, his flavor of the month, say goodbye to Andy, Joe, Mark and I. Andy and Mark are going to hang out with Joe and I tonight. We’re going to Andy’s to eat unhealthy food and watch movies. Yay! We’re each picking one movie for all of us to watch, no matter what it is. My pick is Edwards Scissorhands. Andy picks Sleepy Hollow. Mark picks The Nightmare Before Christmas. And Joe… Joe picks Wayne’s World. We eat vegan cheese pizza, vegan chocolate ice cream chocolate chip cookie dough and many other junk foods. First we watch the Nightmare before Christmas. Since we’ve all seen it a million damn times, we all sing along with all of the songs. Next we put in Edwards Scissorhands. Joe’s never seen the whole movie. At the end, when Edward has to be alone again, Joe starts sniffling. He swears he isn’t crying. Next we watch Sleepy Hollow, a movie that’s always sort of freaked me out. On a scary part I gasp and grab Joe’s hand. I blush shyly and move my hand as he grins. Then we put in Wayne’s World. To be honest, it’s one of the most retarded movies in the history of the world, but I like it.

At three am we all stumble off to bed. Joe and I are sharing the hideaway bed in the living room. Andy and Mark go upstairs to their bed.

Joe and I also have to share the same cover. I’m a complete cover-hog so this shan’t end well. He hugs me tightly. I hug back.

“I can’t believe Anders is engaged!” Joe frowns “It’s weird.”

I shrug “At least he’s happy.”

He nods “Yeah. I didn’t say it was a bad thing… just odd.”

I nod with a sigh.

“What’s wrong?”

“I kinda… envy them…I mean. They have each other and… I have no one.”

“For now. But, trust me Patrick… you’ll find someone amazing, who’ll be lucky as hell to have you.”

I smile “That’s sweet… but a lie…”

Joe frowns “Not a lie. Patrick… you don’t see it but… you’re amazing. You’re sweet, funny, snuggly, cute, a great kisser, and-“

“Huh?”

Joe blushes “Huh, what?”

“What was that last thing you said?”

“And?”

“Before that.”
“Cute?”

I frown “After that.”

His blush turns scarlet “A g-good kisser…”

I feel myself blush as well “Oh really?”

He nods.

“Well, your kissing skills aren’t horrific either…” I grin.

He sits up and leans down to my face, wrapping his arms around my middle. I close my eyes as our faces inch closer.

“Hey I forgot to tell you guys-um… never mind…”

Joe moves awake making a growling sound into his throat.

“What Andy?”

“I just… I meant to tell you, if you get cold you could turn the A.C. up some…”

We nod “Thanks Andy.”

He smiles weakly “G’night…”

We listen to him run back upstairs.

Joe sighs “Hmmm… odd it seemed like we were about to kiss…”

I swallow hard “It does doesn’t it?”

He smiles “So, where were we?”

I grab the back of his head, pulling him closer “About here?”

He grins “Yeah…”

He leans in and our lips meet again. Only this time, no interruptions are made.

I wake up to Joe’s loud snoring. I put on my glasses and look at my phone. It’s nine in the morning. I groan and sit up. The events of last night run through my head. Did it really happen, or was it merely an amazing dream? I frown. Why would Joe kiss me? On the other hand, he already has, so why not? I bite my lip as he begins to stir. He rubs his eyes and sits up with me.

“Mornin’” he grumbles.

“Morning…”

Andy and Mark walk downstairs. My stomach turns. I suddenly regret eating all of that junk food last night. I feel sick. Joe looks over at me cautiously. I shrug it off and follow Andy into the kitchen. He pours a bowl of cereal. How he can eat after last night escapes me. I sit down and lay my head on my arms. Joe rubs my back.

“Are you ok?”

I nod.

He groans “Liar, what’s wrong?”

“I feel sick…”

He frowns “Awe poor Pattykins… Wanna go to my house and lay down?”

I nod. He has a waterbed. I love waterbeds! It may make me feel sicker but… I’ll get over it.

I drove here but since I’m in no mood to be driving, I hand him my keys.
