I sigh and look around the gym hoping for some sign of improvement. Nada. None. Zilch. I bite my lip unwillingly inhale the aroma of sweat and rubber. I hear the coach's whistle. I walk to the back, staring at my feet. I look up at the couch and hear the door open. The face I see makes me grin. It's Brendon!


Today for lunch it's only Gerard, Brendon and myself. Gee looks between us suspiciously, as he usually does. I can't help but smile because now we're actually together. Gee sighs.

"Ok, I'm going to ask the two of you a question. Before I do, please keep in mind that I'm not an idiot. I have a brain and it works quite well. So, are you two... more than friends?"

I feel myself blush as a grin tugs at the edges of my lips

"Well... we weren't technically until... yesterday?" Brendon smiles at me.

I nod "Yeah..."

Gerard nods slowly "So you're like... dating?"

we nod.

He shrugs "Were you going to tell me? I mean, I'm gay, I wouldn't mind..."

I hug him comfortingly "Yes, we were going to tell you, we just didn't want to tell you at different times..."

He smiles "Sorry, I've been curious since... that night all that crap happened."

"Yeah... we were working on being just friends and well..." Brendon smiles and pushes my bangs out of my face "we couldn't."

I lean my head on his shoulder and smile up at him. He rakes his fingers through my hair and kisses my forehead.

Gee smiles "I'm happy for you guys."
