Emily woke up to Gerard slowly rubbing her lower back

“I heard this helps when you are pregnant” he whispered, Emily giggled as she turned and face him

“In the third trimester yes” she replied, Gerard grinned more

“Zach is awake” she said as she heard Zach call out her name, Gerard jumped out of bed and put on some pants, Emily giggled as he ran out of the room and returned with Zach who was grinning

“Mum” he said as he climbed to her, Emily snuggled with Zach as Gerard watched

“My beautiful family which I love” he said as he climbed into bed and hugged Emily and Zach, Zach snuggled into Gerard as Emily got out of bed

“I have to get ready” said Gerard, Emily nodded as she picked up Zach

“I am going to go and get some breakfast” she said, Gerard smiled as he got up, he kissed her
lips softly and walked into the bathroom, Emily sat Zach down in his high chair and grabbed him some yogurt and fruit, Emily smiled as Gerard walked down the stairs

“I ran Ben, I told him you needed a few days off” he said, Emily nodded

“Thanks I was going to call him today” she replied, Gerard grinned as he poured himself a cup of coffee and sat down

“I also spoke to the guys, they want to start the record today” he said, Emily looked up

“Wow really?” she asked, He nodded as Emily bit into her toast

“Which also means I won’t be home until rather late tonight” he said, Emily nodded

“Well it has to be done” she replied, Zach looked up at his mother, Emily smiled and handed him some toast as Gerard stood up, Gerard smiled and kissed her lips

“I have to go babe, I will call you throughout the day” he said, Emily smiled and nodded as Gerard kissed her one last time and left

“It’s just you and me today pumpkin” she said as Emily sat down and enjoyed her breakfast with her son.





3 Months later......
It became routine for Emily and Gerard over the last few months, Gerard would work on the record and Emily filled in her time at work and helping Gerard with anything he needed, Emily was finally starting to show, Gerard and the band were just finishing up on the record.
Emily picked up the phone and dialled Gerard’s number again, she sighed when it went to voicemail again

“Hey Gee, it’s me, Its nine o’clock and I was just wondering when you will be home” she said and hung up, Emily sighed and saw Zach starting to doze off, Emily smiled as she picked him up, gently taking him to his bed and tucking Zach in

“Love you” she whispered, Emily closed the door and walked down stairs, She picked up her phone and checked and frowned when there was no missed call, Emily jumped when she heard the door knock , Emily smiled as she opened the door expecting to see Gerard, but frowned when she saw Frank standing in the doorway

“Hey Frank, where is Gerard?” she asked, Frank frowned

“I need to tell you something” he said softly as he walked inside, Emily frowned

“Frank what’s going on?” she asked, Frank took a deep breath

“Gerard has been shot Emily” he said, Emily gasped and felt her legs goes numb

“What do you mean, I spoke to him only four hours ago” she said, Frank nodded as he saw Emily burst into tears

“Is he okay?” she sobbed, Frank looked at her

“We don’t know yet, he is in surgery, He went to go and grab coffee and was caught in a misfire, it was a stray bullet, it hit his shoulder” he said, Emily nodded as she wiped her face

“I need to get to the hospital” she said, Frank nodded

“Alicia is in the car, she is going to look after Zach while I take you” he said, Emily nodded

“I am going to go and get changed” said Emily and ran upstairs, Alicia walked through the door as Emily walked down the stairs

“Zach is asleep, there is a spare room next to his, you can sleep too if you want” she said as she picked up her bag, Alicia hugged her

“I am okay, you go and be with him” she said, Emily nodded as Frank helped Emily into his car

“Please let him be okay” she said, Frank gripped the steering wheel

“He will be fine Emily, its Gerard, he will outlive all of us” said Frank, Emily stared out of the window as Frank pulled up at the hospital, Emily couldn’t breathe properly as they entered the floor Gerard was on, Emily saw Mikey and lost it

“Where is he, is he okay?” she asked, Mikey nodded

“He just woke up” he said, Mikey took Emily too his room

“We will all wait out here until you come out” he said, Emily nodded, hugged Mikey and opened the door, Gerard smiled when he saw Emily, Emily started to cry more

“Tears my wife” he said with a smile, Emily shook her head as she wiped her eyes

“I love you” she said, Gerard smiled more as he gestured for Emily to come closer

“You think I didn’t know” he said, Emily grabbed his hand as tears dropped down her cheeks

“You’re my life, the air that I breathe, you crawled underneath my skin and consumed me in a way no other women could” he said, Emily smiled and brushed her lips against him

“I thought I lost you” she whispered, Gerard squeezed her hand

“I am still here, it will take more than a bullet to get rid of me” he said, Emily smiled

“Get some rest Gee, I need you to get better” she said, Gerard grinned

“I need you” he said, Emily blushed as she squeezed his hand

“You need to rest” she said, Gerard sighed and nodded

“I need to sleep at home and feel you close to me” he replied, Emily smiled and kissed him again

“Get some sleep, I will be back tomorrow morning with Zach” she replied, Gerard smiled and
nodded

“Sweet dreams” she whispered, Gerard smiled more

“You too” he replied as Emily walked out, Mikey walked up to him

“Everything okay?” he asked, Emily nodded

“Everything is great, but I want to get home” she replied, Mikey nodded

“I will take you so I can get Alicia” he said, Emily nodded as they walked out of the hospital.
