Melody's POV

"Wake up, Mel. It's time to get up."

"Noooooo!"

"Mel, you have school."

I peeked out from the top of the comforter to see Frank sitting on the edge of the bed.

"I don't wanna. Your bed is too comfortable."

He laughed as he shook his head at me. "Yeah, I know but Gee will be here in about thirty minutes."

"Ugh! No!" I whined. I knew I was being a pain but this bed is seriously comfortable.

"I'll make you breakfast if you get up now."

I shot straight up in bed with a huge grin plastered to my face.

"Food?"

Frank laughed at me again. "Yes, food. What would you like?"

"Hmm....pancakes?"

"I can do that. You just get dressed and go watch cartoons or something."

"Na-uh. Gerard said I could go in my pajamas."

"Whatever." He rolled his eyes at me and left the room.

I went to the living room and plopped down on the couch. I flicked through the channels before settling on an old episode of Phineas and Ferb. Roughly ten minutes later Frank sat a large plate of pancakes and a glass of orange juice in front of me.

"Awe. Thanks Frankie. I think you just became my new favorite person in this whole wide world." I grinned before shoving a piece of pancake in my mouth.

"Oh my god! These are so fucking good!"

"I try." He winked at me. "Oh and I don't think you will like me too much in about six months or so."

"Hmm....you're probably right about that so you better enjoy it while you can, Frankie boy."

"Aye, aye Captain." He grinned as he saluted me.

I heard a door open and close and looked up to see Mikey glaring at me. I hung my head and frowned to myself.

"Good morning, Mikes. I made you a plate of pancakes. It's on the counter."

"Yeah, thanks but I'm not hungry." Mikey snapped then snatched a soda from the refrigerator. He stomped back to his room and slammed the door which made me flinch. Frank only sighed.

"Frank?"

"Hmm?"

"Do you think I made the right choice when I broke up with Mikey?"

"I don't know, Mel. I can't really answer that question for you."

"I just feel horrible. I don't want Mikey to hate me because no matter what happens he will be in my life because of you and this baby."

"He'll come around. This is just what he does. He gets pissy, he sulks, and then he gets over it."

"I hope so. I don't want to cause problems between the band."

"It's fine. We fight all the time but we eventually get over it." He shrugged. "So, how are you feeling today?"

"I'm okay except for the fact that I am getting fat." I whined.

Frank snorted. "You are not getting fat. You barely even have a baby bump."

"Oh yes I do. You just can't see it because my shirt is baggy." I snorted back and lifted my shirt to prove my point.

Frank didn't respond. He only eyed my stomach with this curious glazed-over look in his eyes. It made me self-conscious so I lowered my shirt.

"Frank? You okay?"

"Can I touch it?"

My eyebrows furrowed and I know I was looking at him as if he had two heads. "What?"

"You stomach."

"Oh. Uh....I guess so." I shrugged.

I jumped a little as he lifted my shirt and pressed his icy cold hands to my abdomen. He snatched his hands away and looked at me with wide eyes.

"I'm sorry. Did I do something wrong?"

"No. Your hands are just cold and I wasn't expecting it."

"Oh. Sorry."

"It's okay. Go ahead." I smiled and lay back so he could reach my stomach better.

Frank lifted my shirt once again and ran his hands over my slightly protruding stomach.

"Wow. It's hard to believe there is really a baby in there."

"I know."

"Can you feel it move yet?"

"No but I don't think I am suppose to yet."

"Do you think it's a boy or a girl?"

"I don't know but I would be happy either way. I just want him or her to be healthy."

"Yeah. Me too."

I closed my eyes and sighed in content as Frank's fingers continued to trace patterns on my exposed flesh.

"What the hell are you two doing?!"

Frank snatched his hands away so fast it was almost like he'd been burned or caught doing something wrong. I quickly sat up and pushed my shirt back in place. Gerard stood before us with his arms crossed and his eyes narrowed.

"Shit! You scared the fuck out of me, Gerard!"

"Well, what the hell were you doing?"

"I was only trying to see if I could feel the baby move but it's too early I guess."

"Oh. Okay. So, are you ready for school, Melody?"

"Yeah." I sighed. Honestly, I just wanted to lay back down and let Frank rub my stomach again. It was quite relaxing.

"Let's get started then. I will be handling math and history. Frank will help you with literature and science."

"Okay. What's first?"

"I think we'll start with history. It's probably the most boring so we can just get it out of the way."

So, for the next hour I listened to Gerard drone on and on about WWI and then he had me do the accompanying internet assignments. It wasn't too bad. It was easy but boring. Then, it was on to math which was calculus for me this year. I think Gerard was surprised that I knew what was going on and was able to do it. What can I say? I am actually good at school lessons. I'm just lazy and don't like to do it. After we finished my math lesson we stopped for lunch. Gerard made grilled cheese sandwiches and soup. It was delicious.

"Okay. Now that my part is done I'll leave you two to handle the rest. Melody, please do your homework and Frank, no messing around. She has to learn this stuff."

"Yeah, yeah. I hear you."

"Okay. I'll see you in the morning then."

"Later Gee."

"Bye Gerard."

"So, you want literature or science first?"

"Science. It's more interesting."

"Okay. Here we go."

This year I had the study of anatomy and physiology for science. It was fairly easy, too. It was a lot of memorization for the most part. I was actually surprised at how much Frank knew about it. He really is smart even though he sometimes acts like a hyped of two year old. Once we finished with my science lesson we moved on to literature. My first assignment was to read The Great Gatsby then write a report on it. Two hours later I had finished the book and started on my homework while Frank started on dinner. Mikey usually cooks dinner but since he refuses to leave his room it's up to Frank or me to cook and I can promise you it's better if I leave the cooking to Frank. By the time Frank was finishing up with dinner I had completed all of my homework except the report which I had until the end of the week to finish.

"Dinner is served." Frank announced as he set a plate of food in front of me. It appeared we were having veggie burgers and french fries tonight.

"It smells good."

"Eat up then."

Frank popped a movie in the dvd player then joined me on the couch. About halfway through the movie Mikey emerged from his room and stalked over to us.

"I need the tv. This movie I want to watch is coming on."

"You have a tv in your room, Mikey. We are in the middle of a movie."

"This is my house too, Frank and I want to watch it on this tv."

Frank sighed. He was obviously irritated with Mikey's behavior.

"Fine. Come on Mel, we'll watch it in my room."

I only nodded and followed Frank to his room.

"I know he is upset but does he really have to be such an ass?"

"I'm sorry, Frank. This is all my fault."

"No, it's not. Mikey just hates when he doesn't get his way."

"But I-"

"No buts. Let's just finish the movie."

"Okay."

I lay down on the bed and Frank lay beside me then resumed our movie. I honestly couldn't even remember what we were watching. I was just really tired.

"Frank?"

"Hmm?"

"Can you, uh....can you rub my tummy like you did this morning?" I questioned. I felt a slight blush creep up my cheeks and hoped Frank didn't notice. I didn't want him to get the wrong idea but it was just so relaxing I couldn't help myself.

He smiled. "Sure."

He pushed my shirt up and began tracing light feathery, soothing patterns across my abdomen.

"Thanks Frankie."

"You're welcome. I don't mind actually. It kind of makes me feel closer to the baby."

"Really?"

"Yeah."

"Well, you have my permission to rub my tummy whenever you feel the urge."

He laughed. "I'll keep that in mind."

It wasn't much later that I felt myself slipping into unconsciousness and sleep overtook me as Frank continued his relaxing stroking touches.

I am soooooooo freaking sorry this took so long to update. Let's just say Thanksgiving with my family is a little more than stressful. It didn't help any that I had two damn family gatherings instead of one. Again, I am sooooo sorry but it should not happen again.

AND also I think everyone should give a BIG thanks to bloodless_souls. She gave me some really awesome ideas to help me out where I was getting stuck. So, credit for this goes to her. ^_^
