Melody's POV
I woke with a start due to the insane urge to urinate as well as feeling like I had not ate in days which was absurd. I ate like a freaking cow. After taking care of my business I made my way back through the bedroom. Just as I was about to open the door I noticed a note taped to it that read 'Costumes on kitchen counter. Olive Garden 7pm. Don't be late!' To say that confused me would be an understatement. I wondered who could have left it. Frank? Gerard? Maybe Chris?
I wandered out into the living room and over to the couch where Frank was sleeping peacefully. I had to suppress a giggle when I saw his face. At least now I knew it wasn't Frank that had left the note since he had the same note stuck to his forehead.
"Frank?"
"Mmmph..."
"Frankie, wake up."
"Wha-? No. Too early."
"Get up, lazy ass."
"Why?" He whined.
"You have something on your face."
"My face?"
"Oh my god! It's a spider!"
"Oh my god! Get it off! Get. It. Off!"
I fell over onto the couch in a fit of giggles as Frank collapsed on the ground and clawed at his face. After a minute he found the post it note stuck to his forehead and stopped thrashing around like a spaz.
"The fuck?"
"You.....should.....have.....seen.....your face!"
"You are so evil. That was not even funny." He pouted.
I wiped the tears that were streaming down my cheeks away and finally regained my breath.
"You're right. It wasn't funny........it was fucking hilarious!"
He snorted. "I am so going to get you back for that."
"Yeah, yeah. So, who do you think left the note?" I questioned.
"Hmm....I don't know. Gerard? Or maybe Chris?"
"That's what I thought, too. However, that..." I grinned as I pointed to his cheeks "was all me."
"Huh? What?" I only shrugged and gave him a mischievous grin.
"What did you do?" He huffed, narrowing his eyes at me in suspicion.
"Nuh-thing." I sang, grinning mischievously.
I laughed as he jumped up and ran to the closest mirror.
"Awe. I can't even be mad at you over that. Thanks, Mel." He grinned as he hugged me.
After he fell asleep last night I had snuck back into the living room and wrote 'Happy Ieroween, Frankie! -xo Mel-' on his cheeks.
"So, what do you say we check out those costumes now?" I nodded my agreement and we skipped to the kitchen.
There were two bags on the counter. One with my name and one with Frank's name. I opened the bag with my name on it and found a rather kick-ass zombie costume inside.
"Dude, this is awesome!"
I looked over to see Frank holding up what appeared to be a grim reaper costume. It definitely looked like something Frank would wear.
"What's your costume?"
"A zombie. It's fucking sweet!" I grinned.
"I can not wait until tonight!"
"Me either. I can't wait to thank whoever has such excellent taste in Halloween costumes."
"It has to be Gee. He's great at this stuff."
"I guess we will find out at seven o'clock tonight." I shrugged.
"That's too long."
I rolled my eyes at him. "Come on, Frankie. I will make us breakfast while you go pick out some movies to watch."
"Okay."
By 'make breakfast' I really meant shoving waffles in the toaster and pouring two glasses of orange juice. Once breakfast was ready I wandered back into the living room and plopped down beside Frank. Of course, the menu for The Texas Chainsaw Massacre was playing on the tv in a continuous loop.
For the rest of the day Frank and I watched movies and ate junk food until we felt it was probably time to get ready. We both slipped our costumes on and I let Frank do my zombie makeup after he had finished his own makeup.
"Frank?"
"Yeah?"
"Do you think we should try to invite Mikey? I feel bad for him."
He shrugged. "I guess we can try but I doubt he will come."
Frank left only to return a few minutes later.
"He's not here. I guess he had plans after all."
"That's good. At least he's not in his room alone anymore."
"Let's go. We need to get going now if we want to be there by seven."
We made our way down to Frank's car where we found another strange note stuck to his windshield.
"What does it say?"
"It says 'Frank, the reservations are under your name. -xo-'."
"Someone really went through a lot of trouble to keep themselves anonymous."
"Oh well, come on." He shrugged.
After we pulled into the parking lot of the restaurant we went inside and a hostess led us to a table in back where we finally spotted our mystery person.
"Mikey?" Frank gasped.
"Y-Yeah. Hey guys."
"You did all of this?" I questioned in shock.
"Yes. Please sit. I want to explain."
Frank and I sat opposite of Mikey at the table. We both wore identical expressions of shock and confusion.
"I want to apologize to both of you. I was being childish and unfair. Frank, you are my best friend, my brother and I miss you. Melody, I want to apologize for calling you a whore because we both know that is not true. Also, I want you to know I will support your relationship the best I-"
"Relationship? What relationship?" I questioned, my brows furrowed at him.
"You two. I think it's great you are going to make it work for the baby. I can't lie and say it doesn't hurt but I'll get over it. Who knows, maybe I'll find someone special someday."
"Mikey, we are not together. We are just friends. The baby has just brought us closer." Frank assured him.
"Either way I will be here for you. So, can you guys ever forgive me?"
I smiled as I abandoned my seat and wrapped Mikey in a tight hug. Frank soon joined me.
"So, I'm forgiven?" Mikey asked with hope-filled eyes.
"Of course, Mikes. I miss my video game playing, junk food eating buddy." Frank grinned.
"Does this mean the sweet, funny, goofy Mikey is back?"
"Yes Mel, he's back."
"Awesome! Nice costume, by the way."
"Oh yeah, thanks for the costume, Mikey. It's bad-ass!"
"I knew you would like it, Frankie."
"I love mine, too." I grinned.
"Shall we eat then?"
"Oh god yes! I am starving!" I groaned.
"You are always starving." Frank and Mikey stated as they rolled their eyes in perfect unison at me which resulted in all of us bursting into a fit of giggles.
Once we finished dinner Mikey directed us to follow him so we did. Frank and I both broke out into wide grins when we saw where Mikey had led us. We were parked outside of Zander's Laser Tag and Arcade.
"Oh my god! Mikey, you are the best!"
"I second that!" I cheered.
We spent the rest of the night running around the arcade and laser tag arena like five year olds. We got some of the strangest looks from both kids and parents alike but none of us cared. We were having way too much fun to give two shits. By the end of the night we were all exhausted and ready to go home so we went back to the apartment only to find Gerard, Chris, and Ray waiting for us. Judging by the streamers, cake, and balloons they had decided to throw Frank a small surprise party.
"Where have you three been?" Gerard chastised. "We have been here for nearly two hours."
"Sorry Gee, Mikey took me and Melody out for my birthday."
"Oh. Well, okay then. It's good to see you out of your room, Mikey."
"Uh.. yeah, thanks. I think I'll just go to bed now. I am beat."
"Goodnight Mikey."
"G'Night Mikes."
"'Night guys."
"Awe. You got me cake? Thanks."
"Of course we did. Don't we always."
"Well, yeah. So, what did you get me?"
We laughed at the expression on Frank's face. He was like a five year old on Christmas. While Gerard, Ray, and Chris handed their presents over to Frank I went into his bedroom and retrieved the present I had gotten him. I came back to a very happy Frank.
"Gee, you got me a new xbox?!"
"Yeah. I think you deserved it and it's my fault the last one had an early demise."
"And these are from me and Chris." Ray grinned.
Frank ripped the packaging open to reveal what looked like at least ten new xbox games.
"You guys are the best. Seriously, I love you guys!"
Frank ran around attacking all three of them in hugs which once again reminded me of a five year old on Christmas.
"This one is from me. It's not much but I hope you like it anyway." I smiled as I handed the small package over to him.
He immediately tore into the wrapping and then looked up at me with a huge grin.
"Mel, you got me a gift certificate for a new tattoo and a gift certificate for the mall?"
"Yeah. Like I said it's not much but-"
I was cut off when he tackled me in a tight hug.
"Shut up, Mel. You just got me two of my favorite things. I can't wait to go to the mall!"
"I am glad you like it. I honestly couldn't figure out what to get you but I figured I couldn't go wrong with gift certificates." I shrugged.
"I love it." He grinned.
We spent the rest of the night and the wee hours of the morning pigging out on cake and watching movies until we could barely hold our eyes open. Chris, Frank, and I passed out in Frank's bed while Gerard took the couch and Ray crashed with Mikey.
I honestly couldn't think of anything good for Melody to get Frank so sorry about that but oh well. Oh and MCR_Love You can still give me baby names. I haven't decided yet. :)
