~ Chapter One ~
On the phone
- Oh, yes, of course we will! It will be awesome!
Someone answered on the other side of the line, but Brian wouldn't tell us who was, and what wanted from us.
- Hum, hum. That's just awesome, you know? Yeah. Hum, hum. Of course we don't mind! No, we'll be just fine with that.
Someone replied, and Brian laughed.
- Yeah, okay. I'll just tell'em. Yeah. Thanks a lot. Bye.
Brian hung up the phone, and I looked mad at him.
- You whore, who was it? - I asked, pissed off.
- Well, my dear... you really wanna know? - He asked, mocking me.
- You're fucking up with me, Brian Sanders? COME ON! - I screamed, walking towards him.
- Easy, sister. Well, it was our agent on the phone. He wanted to tell us something...
- Oh, really, Brian? REALLY? - I asked, again. I was pretty close, and my hand wanted to shake him for a bit.
- Easy there, Chloe. You really don't wanna hurt him before he tells us, do you? - Phillip asked me. I took a deep breath and walked back.
- You're lucky I'm too curious to hurt you right now, Bry, or I would just knock you out - I said, sitting beside Phillip, on the couch of my living room.
- Now, come on, tell us what's up - Jacey ordered, making Brian smile harder.
- Well, if you're so curious about it... Well, Taylor called to say that we're going on tour with a great band, as the opening band... Not a big deal... - He said, trying to make it look like it wasn't something huge for us.
- NOT A BIG DEAL? IT'S OUR FIRST TOUR, SUCKER! - I screamed, laughing. The other members of the band laughed along.
- Not a big deal, until you know which band is... - He replied, restraining my happiness.
- Is it a big band? - I asked, and he nodded. - Who are they? PLEASE!!! - I begged, getting on my knees. Everyone laughed, but Brian got me up, and whispered in my ear.
- Oh, fuck! Are you kidding me? 'Cause, if you are, you're going to suffer - I told him, seriously.
- Well, I'm not kidding. - He smiled.
- FUCK! WE'RE GOING ON TOUR WITH MCR! My Chemical romance, for God sake - I screamed, making everyone jump, literally.
- Are you talking serious? - Phillip asked, when we were on a band hug.
- More serious is impossible! Taylor just had a conversation with them. - We left each others' arms while Brian told us the rest. - They called him 'cause they heard us on youtube, and saw our premiere video, and liked us so much they wanted to tour with us. The vocalist said "That girl in the front as a huge voice, that band will have a powerful future". Taylor told me.
I flushed. Oh, my Way. Gerard Way said I had a huge voice. I wanted to shout, to jump, to... Okay, maybe I was a little hysterical about all that. But, fuck, we were going to tour with My Chemical Romance. It was a big deal. I really mean it.
- Maybe we should write a new song for the first show, no? - I proposed.
- Yeah, of course. We need to surprise them... Maybe something a little softer than our other songs - Jacey said. I agreed with her, as much as the boys.
- Well, you're encharged of that, Cee. Let's give a little more of your voice, okay? - Brian said, making me smile.
- Oh, of course we will. Don't even doubt.
My band, The Lost Bruises, were just composed by four elements. My twin brother Brian, the drummer, was the leader, despite I was the lead singer. He was tall, blonde, with penetrating green eyes and muscle, from all the drumming he had to do. I would fuck him if he wasn't my brother, I gotta admit. Despite we were twins, only one thing could be matching between us: the height. I was as tall as he was, but my hair was black, with some natural and strange blonde locks, my eyes were deep blue, and I was thin, not a muscle monster.
Phillip Matthews, our band's guitarist, was medium-height, puny, and with brown straight "emo" hair. He was very cool and peaceful, until someone get him off of himself. When he was mad, nothing could stop him, just like me. When someone really got on my nerves, I would just destroy everything around me; I couldn't control... But back to the band. Our last element, Jacey Hyde was our bassist. She had a cool natural red hair, with some curls on it, was a shortie, and a little bit muscled. She played drums, too. We were all about the same age. Me and Brian were the oldests, with some just-made twenty-nines, Phillip was twenty-eight and Jacey, the younger one, was only twenty-six. Despite of she being the younger, she liked to party the most. She was a little crazy bitch, when drunk, but we all loved her.
We were all a bunch of crazy people, who just wanted our dreams to come true. Some people would look at us just like we were shit. But, in fact, we weren't. We were just good friends, that were never afraid of what the others could think of us.
We decided we should celebrate for a while. I really wasn't a drinking girl. Matter of fact, I had never drinken any kind of alchoolic drink in my entire life (okay, despite of the whisky-coke I drank when I was two, thinking it was just coke). My twin brother never drank either. I think maybe due to the fact that our parents died because my father was driving drunk, and my mother was asleep from all the drinking. We were at my grandma's house, 'cause our parents always had to work at night. Me and my brother were just twelve, so, we couldn't stay alone. We only knew about what happen in the funeral day. We cried, hugging each other, and promised to each other that we would always help each other and that we would never be truly mad at each other. We always kept our promise, and we were closer than anyone could even imagine. Sometimes, we had our fights, but the next second we were already hugging or tickling each other. We loved each other with all our faith, and no one could destroy that. Not even Satan.
We went home, carrying Phillip and Jacey, because they were drunk. Me and Brian were lauging to the stupid things they were saying.
- My hand seemed as heavy as Bugs Bunny glove when he putted the brick inside it - Phillip was saying, making me and Bry laugh harder.
- Yeah, and my stomach was the one who paid for that... Auch! - Jacey said, and I couldn't help but laugh higher.
We got to my house, in fact Brian and I's house, and we sat each one of them on one couch. I went to get some blankets for them, and we left them sleeping there. Both me and Brian went to our rooms, and I dressed my pyjama, so I could sleep. The thing is, I couldn't sleep. I was thinking about what the tour would bring. We had one week to compose one soft new song, and we had to show that on our first show, to surprise not only the fans, but also My Chemical Romance...
- Hum, My Chemical Romance... - I said. - Oh, I just know it!
I got up from my bed, and went to my desk, where I had my pen and my notebook. I started writing the song, and could imagine how to sing it. I would sing that song to the rest of my band tomorrow.
I finished the song, saved it on the pocket of my PJs, and went to sleep. The next day, I showed the song to the band, and they tottaly loved it. We started packing our things, and making plans for the tour.
I felt like I was going to heaven. And maybe I was... I just didn't knew that, yet.
