“Sofia. Sofia Keller. Report to my office at once.”

Korse's cold voice rang through the intercom, rattling loudly off the stark, white walls of Sofia's cubicle.

She quickly made a mental run down of everything she'd done during the day that could have possibly gotten her into trouble, while her heels clicked melodically down the endless tile hallway.

Realizing she'd done nothing out of the ordinary, and she was out of time, Sofia put her identification card against the scanner allowing the door to open.

Korse sat left ankle to right knee in his desk chair, staring Sofia down with relentless eyes.

“Miss Keller. Lovely to see you, and so...quickly.” A smirk traveled across his lips.

“Thank you sir.” She stood in the doorway, wringing her hands behind her back. Though she'd been working with BLI for almost a year, her boss still sent shivers; like small cockroaches crawling and spitting, down her spine. It wasn't just his skin's whiteness, or his lack of emotion, or even his unpractical attire.

It was the fact that he watched her every move. If she went to get coffee, she could be certain out of the corner of her she could see a ruffled sleeve. When she would return from the restroom he'd be standing at the end of the hallway.

Watching. Waiting. And for what she did not know. Or want to know for that matter.

“Please darling do take a seat. This conversation could get lengthy and I wouldn't want my favorite employee's feet to start cramping.” There was something about the way that “favorite employee” rolled off his tongue that Sofia did not like.

Maybe it was the way he was looking almost right through her, sizing her up, peeling away her clothing with his dead eyes.

Sofia took a seat in front of his expansive desk, pressing her ankles together, her hands resting in her lap.
“Would you like something to drink?” He leaned forward, smelling her.

“No. No thank you sir.” Her timid reply, made him smile wider.

“Call me Korse, there is no need for sir here.” He leaned back, turning around towards the window behind him.

“You're probably wondering why I called you, and I'm not going to keep you waiting. I need you for a special mission. Are you aware of the gentleman known as Gerard Way?”

He was turned toward her again his fingertips pressing against each other pensively waiting for an answer.

“Yes. He's one of BLI's greatest enemies. I believe he goes by Party Poison now.” Sofia sat straight up, trying to look as professional as possible.

“Whatever the little fucking maggot calls himself these days, I do not give a flying fuck.” Venom dripped from his mouth, his calm emotionless face, now a grimace of horror.

He stood, throwing the chair back. Sofia flinched when Korse's fingertips trailed up her neck. “I need you to seduce the leader of the Killjoys. Seduce him and bring him to his knees.” He knelt in front of her, his lips almost against hers.

“I-I...Why me?” The back of his hand glided along her cheek, and firmly he pressed his lips to hers. Sofia's eyes widened to the point of falling from their sockets. Korse released her plump lips and grabbed her face in his hands.

“Because you are what he's looking for. An innocent. Someone else to protect...and you darling are beautiful. And what man can pass up a beautiful woman needing to be saved?”

“But, I don't need to be saved...”

“If that's what you want to believe my sweet princess...”
