Juliette felt herself drifting to sleep on the comfortable bed. She thought it would be harder with the pain she was in but it really wasn't. The pain had actually exhausted her more and the bed was just so comfortable, it really was the only current comfort.

Brendon was playing with Juliette's hair as she drifted off and it was nice to be able to focus on that instead of the burning pain from her belting.

As Brendon watched Juliette sleeping he smiled and continued playing with her soft hair. He didn't want to cover her with a blanket just yet. Her wounds were still fresh and had to hurt quite a lot.

Brendon quietly lifted himself from the bed and made his way to the bathroom so that he could shower. He smelled strongly of sex which wasn't a bad thing but he wanted to be clean for Juliette.

As the warm water washed over his body he sighed in delight. Water had always felt good to him. He listened for any noises from outside of the bathroom though. He didn't want Juliette to wake and wander off.

She was a complication. She was just supposed to be some stupid slut getting drunk in a bar night after night. Brendon didn't count on her meaning anything and he had no idea what he would do when his time was up and he had to join the band again.

He groaned and leaned against the shower wall as he thought of what he could do but nothing pleasant came to mind so he pushed those thoughts to the back of his mind for the time being; he would worry about it when the time got a little closer and when he had more time to understand Juliette.

"Brendon?" Juliette's soft voice interrupted his thoughts.

Brendon peeked his head out of the shower to see Juliette standing in the doorway of the bathroom, looking slightly sick. "I don't feel very well." She admitted softly, seeming embarrassed by it as she swayed a little.

Brendon came out of the shower, dripping on the floor as he held on to Juliette to try and steady her. He groaned, "I'm making you wet." He complained, grabbing a towel and wrapping her in it so that his wetness wouldn't get all over her.

"Do you feel like you're going to vomit?" Brendon asked, sitting Juliette on his bed once again.

"Kind of. And I have a headache." She admitted, holding her stomach.

Brendon nodded, "I'm going to get you some soup. You probably feel nauseous from lack of food. When's the last time you ate?" He asked.

Juliette tried to remember but couldn't. "I don't know."

Brendon sighed, "You haven't been taking very good care of yourself, have you?" He didn't need her reply, he already knew the answer. "Lay back down." He commanded as he quickly dried himself so that he could get dressed.

Once Brendon was done getting dressed he went out to the kitchen and started making Juliette some soup. He grabbed a glass and filled it with ice and water then grabbed an Advil. He decided to take her the drink and pill first and as he walked in to the room he found her lying on the bed where he had left her. "Sit up." He said, sitting next to her.

Juliette turned around and sat up, taking the drink from him and staring at the pill in distaste. "What is that?" She asked, suspiciously.

Brendon laughed, "It's just Advil dear. I'm not going to poison you."

Juliette stared at it in disbelief but decided she couldn't avoid things he gave her forever so she took it and swallowed it with the assistance of the water. Brendon once again got up as he heard the beeping from the microwave in the other room.

Seconds later Brendon came back in to the room with a bowl of hot chicken noodle soup and crackers. "Put a pillow over your lap." He instructed and Juliette quickly complied, feeling her tummy rumble.

Brendon set the bowl down on the pillow and set the crackers down next to her, "Eat up honey. I'm going to finish my shower. I didn't really get to clean much." He said, leaving her alone.

Juliette tried to eat her soup slowly to let it settle in her stomach but once she was done she realized the other girl would most likely be very hungry.

Juliette stood, stretching and moaning at the pain she felt but she continued on regardless of it. Once inside the kitchen she started looking around and found that Brendon had stocked it with good food and there was cooking pans so she could make an actual meal.

Since no meat for a dinner type meal was thawed Juliette decided to make some breakfast and got bread, eggs, Cinnamon, and bacon out and set it on the table, getting the other necessary ingredients out.

Juliette left the stuff on the counter and went to the girl in the other room, finding her looking exhausted and scared. "Hello..." Juliette said softly, walking slowly to her and searching the surrounding area for keys. She knew she saw Brendon grab them from... the shelf! There they were. But they were the only keys. She grabbed them and walked closer to the girl who seemed to shrink in fear.

"I'm going to un-cuff you... I need you to promise me that you won't run or do anything stupid. I'm trying to protect you... But Brendon will be angry with us both if you do something." Juliette said, feeling her bottom lip quiver.

"I won't." The girl spoke softly and her voice sounded cracked, "I heard you last night... I'm so sorry." She sobbed loudly. Her concept of time was a little off.

Juliette gently rubbed her shoulders, trying to calm her. "It's okay... Shh... Come on. We are going to make some breakfast. It'll be fun, k?" she said, trying to fake cheer for the girl.

As Juliette un-cuffed the girl she slumped and Juliette held the girl against herself as she walked her to the kitchen where she pulled out a chair from the table. "Just sit until you feel a little stronger. Some food will help!" Juliette said, keeping up the fake cheer.

The girl looked at Juliette as if she were insane but then she smiled and Juliette thought it was a beautiful smile. "I'm going to start cooking... You can help if you want." Juliette said, smiling back as she started making some french toast and bacon.

Juliette jumped in surprise when she turned to grab plates and found the young girl standing next to her. She looked extremely shy as she smiled at Juliette, "I'm not really a good cook but I'll try."

Juliette laughed and nodded, "I'm really not either! Hm... Why don't you start some eggs? Just crack 'em, throw 'em in and let them cook." She said, laughing.

The girl smiled widely and started towards the eggs as Juliette got another cup and filled it with ice then water. "And here, this is for you. Your voice sounds like it hurts... you poor thing." Juliette said, softly.

The girl looked at her and wiped the tears from her eyes as she washed her hands, "Thank you."

Juliette found it was kind of fun to be in the kitchen with the other girl and she was even starting to warm up to her. "I'm Juliette." Juliette finally said as she helped the girl with the eggs and started placing bacon and french toast on a plate.

"I'm Anne." The girl said, smiling again as she started setting the table. "You remind me of my mother." Anne said, grinning.

Juliette doubled over in laughter, "Just how old do you think I am?" She joked.

Anne blushed, "I wasn't saying you looked old." She said, thinking Juliette was insulted.

Juliette laughed, "I know. I was joking silly. I'm only 22 anyway. You look fairly young but I'm bad at judging ages so tell me... How old are you?"

"I'm 18." Anne said softly. "I just graduated a few months ago."

Juliette felt a knot tighten in her stomach. Anne had barely started life. Juliette was young but Anne was at the prime age in life. Right out of high school with everything to look forward to. How could Brendon take that from her?

"You look absolutely starved." Juliette said, changing the subject since it upset her so much. "Why don't you sit down and start eating? I'm almost finished anyway."

Anne smiled, "Thanks..." She whispered as she sat and started putting things on her plate. It didn't take her long at all to start eating and Juliette wondered what Brendon had been feeding her because she seemed to be severely hungry as she downed food quickly.

Juliette came and rubbed her shoulders reassuringly as she realized she would have to make a little more food. "Honey eat a little slower or that's all gonna come right back up." She warned, worried for the young girl.

Anne burped and her face turned bright red. "Oh my go... I'm' so sorry Juliette." She apologized profusely, making Juliette laugh.

"It's fine. I have terrible manners too." Juliette assured the girl, going back to cooking. She cooked up a little more food but it really didn't take long at all and she was simply putting it on a plate now to take to the table. "How's the french toast?" Juliette asked but silence greeted her and then she heard a small crash and spun around in a panic.

Anne was backing up against Juliette as Juliette placed her hands comfortingly on her shoulders before standing in front of her and placing the chair back in a sitting position since Anne had knocked it over when Brendon had entered the room.

Brendon was watching them both with wide eyes, seeming too surprised to even speak as he looked at what they had set up together.

Juliette turned to Anne to see her shaking. "Anne... can you do me a favor and get the rest of the food set out on the table and make sure everything is put away? I'll be right back." Juliette said as the teen nodded, trying to control her shaking.

Juliette walked over to Brendon and whispered, "Can we please talk in the room?" She begged, grabbing his hand and pulling him with her.

Brendon resisted at first as he watched the other girl but then he gave in and followed Juliette to his bedroom. Juliette closed the door and faced Brendon, her lower lip trembling as she waited for him to explode in anger at her.

"You un-cuffed her." Brendon said. He said it so simply, just a statement thrown out. Where was the screaming?

Juliette nodded and backed up against the door a little, not wanting to be within reaching distance of Brendon. Brendon stepped forward though and gently placed his hands on the sides of her face. "You're trembling." He said softly, staring in to her eyes and she saw concern.

"I'm frightened of your reaction." Juliette replied, making no move to step away from Brendon.

Brendon shrugged. "She seems to be doing fine. I saw her helping you." He stated, "And the food smells good."

Juliette smiled weakly. "She's terrified of you. What did you do?" She asked, not sure if she wanted to know.

"I told you I was no good for you." Brendon said, staring at Juliette with an intense burning desire. He wanted her again.

Juliette looked down and with her reply she even surprised herself, "I told you I wasn't looking for good."

Brendon nodded, "Did you make me some food as well?"

Juliette nodded, "I made food for everyone. I hope that's okay."

Brendon nodded, "It's terrific. Let's go eat."

"Brendon?" Juliette asked, gazing up in to his eyes once again.

"Yes Juliette?" Brendon asked.

"Please be nice to her." Juliette begged.

Brendon gave her one quick nod before they left the room. It was a lot as far as Juliette was concerned. Especially since he had intended to kill Anne previously.

It was a lot, indeed.
