It was late; the streetlights were beginning to turn off, launching the city into complete darkness. I needed it, the satisfaction of someone else’s blood on my hands and hearing their pleas for mercy that they were never going to get. I scanned the streets, looking for my next victim. The streets were scarce because the cops’ warned people not to be out late at night, especially on there own. Fortunately, this only added to the pleasure of my gruesome game, knowing that my victim thought of themselves as a rebel.

My head snapped up to the sound of voices coming from the other side of the street. Two wasted, and probably stoned men, were stumbling out of the deserted club, mumbling unintelligible ‘words’ to one another. I watched them in amusement until they staggered round the corner and into the dingy alleyway. I pulled my windswept, ebony hair out of my face as I slowly walked over to where the two men had disappeared. “What are you two doing out so late?” I asked the two men in a sing-song voice. The drunks whipped around to face me, holding onto the nearby wall for support.
“What’s it to you sonny?” the tallest, and closest of the men asked me before turning to the other and hiccupping in his face. Ignoring his question, I turned to the shorter of the two and eyed the small-ish plastic bag in his swollen hands. The man obviously noticed my interest in the bag, and stumbled forward.
“Want some? I know you do… but you’re going to have to give me something in return…” with a hint of lust in his voice, he closed the distance between us and wrapped my hand around the bag of white powder. “Now, how about that repayment?” he got up on tiptoes and leaned forward to kiss me. I pushed him by his arms and pinned him to the wall and slowly slid my knife out of my back pocket. “Ohhh! Getting a little frisky are we, gorgeous?” he slurred with a wink.
“Only for you” I said with mock enthusiasm. I brought the knife up to his face and made a long, deep incision across his forehead and down his left cheek. His eyes grew wide as he groaned in pain. I grinned at the pathetic sight before me as I cut the sides of his mouth, forcing him to have a joker smile. He began to choke as his mouth filled with blood, causing my smile to widen. “You ain’t getting jack shit for your drugs,” I said, laughing in his face before plunging the knife straight through his throat until it hit the wall behind him. I withdrew the weapon and watched in enjoyment as blood gushed out through his mouth, and the two holes in his neck. His eyes glazed over as he collapsed onto the alley floor, surrounded by his own blood.
“P-please-please don’t hu-urt me” I turned around to see the other, cowering in a corner by the bins sobbing.
“Get up,” I snapped, waving my blood-soaked knife in his direction. The crying mess shakily got to his feet before looking at me with pleading eyes. “Run,” the man took off down the alley, stumbling every few feet or so, due to the amount of drink he had consumed. I slipped the drugs into one of my pockets before racing down the alley after the man. I laughed humourlessly at the man’s misfortune of running into a dead end. I slowly progressed on him, making him shake with anxiety.
“d-don’t hu-urt me. I have a w-wife an-and kids,” the man was now shaking violently, and frankly, I couldn’t be bothered to put up with his fight.
“Well, you should have thought about that before you went out so late, in the town of a killer” I whispered into his ear as I pulled out a gun from my jacket. I bit hard on his earlobe before ripping out the piercing with my teeth and licking the blood away from his neck.
“m’sor-” the gunshot rippled through the dark alleyway, breaking the silence of the night. His body slumped against mine as I slipped the gun and knife back into my pockets. I pulled the body over my shoulder and carried him back down the alley to the other corpse. I smiled to myself as I signed my name across both their foreheads. Well, the cops would have known it was me anyway.

I slowly walked out of the alley and back through the darkness of the lonely high street. Licking the blood off my hands, I walked through the front door of the abandoned house I called home. I swiftly locked the door behind me and double checked all the windows of the ancient house were boarded up before lighting the candle in the corner of the room. I flicked the TV on and began to sort out the drugs into three lines.

The bodies of two men were found in an alley on the high street half an hour ago by Mrs. Goode. The two men have been recognised as Cole and Mike Harris. The pair suffered multiple wounds to the face and upper torso. The murders were carried out by none other than Gerard Way. It has only been two days since the man’s escape from prison, and he has already claimed the lives of two innocent citizens. The deranged murder even signed his name on the two victims. The police strongly suggest not going out after 6pm, especially on your own. If you have any information on Ger-“I turn the TV off, not wanting to hear anymore. I snorted the last line of the drugs and lay back on the floor in pure ecstasy. I pull my blood stained shirt up to eye level and grin.

“I’ve missed this” I giggle before surrendering myself to the welcoming darkness of sleep, re-living the night’s murders in my unconscious state.
