I was dressed In an elegant navy blue dress. It was floor length there was some beading along the bust and down my torso. My hair was pushed to one side and my make up was dramatic. My shoes were black with rhinestones along the heel. I should feel beautiful, but I don't. I like like Gerard's plaything. Like a prize he wants to show off.
"You look hot. I'd screw you.", Ray said from behind me.
"Thanks for the lovely compliment, Raymond.", I chuckled.
"Come on. He's probably waiting for you.", he held out his arm for me. I allowed him to lead me downstairs. Gerard was dressed nicely in a suit. His eyes lit up when he saw me. I blushed despite my distaste for him. No one has ever looked at me like that. Ray passed me off to Gerard and left.
"You look stunning, my love.", he kissed the top of my hand.
"Thank you. You look nice too.", I replied politely.
We walked out and got into his flashy sports car. Music filled the car and we both stayed silent. The drive took about an hour before we pulled up in front of a fancy restaurant. A young valet opened the door for me. His eyes roamed my body and I felt suddenly insecure. Gerard snaked his arm around my waist and glared at the valet.
"Park the car and keep your filthy eyes off of my girlfriend.", he growled out. The valet swallowed and took the keys. We entered the building and Gerard gave his name. We were seated immediately. Our table was secluded with a beautiful view. I was looking through the menu and Gerard ordered water and two glasses of wine. The waiter walked off and I gave Gerard a disapproving look.
"I'm not even 21. I can't drink.", I told him. He gave me an amused look.
"You'll be fine. I'll look after you.", he smiled at me. It gave me butterflies. I shook the feeling away. My gaze turned to the menu and I hummed to myself. I finally decided to get filet mignon with grilled asparagus and scalloped potatoes. I set down the menu and looked up to find Gerard's eyes on me already. I blushed and looked down.
"Lithium, I want to apologize for everything you've been put through. I... I regret it so much. I can't even begin to explain how sorry I am." His eyes were filled with genuine sadness and guilt. I didn't want to hold it against him. If this was going to be my life, I wanted it to be a good one.
"I forgive you.", I replied, quietly. His eyes lit up and he grabbed my hand from across the table. The waiter came and brought our drinks and took our orders. The food was amazing. Dessert was even better. Gerard was actually interested in me. We had great conversations through out dinner. On the way home he held my hand and I didn't protest. I was still wary of Gerard. I didn't know what to make of him. I knew he had a dark side and that side scared me. As we entered the mansion, we were greeted by Frank yelling at someone.
"He fucking crossed us! Now, we have to deal with this shit because of that prick!", Frank bellowed. We stepped into the living rom to see a concerned Ray, an annoyed Mikey, and an extremely pissed off Frank.
"What's going on?", Gerard questioned. I think I saw steam come out of Frank's ears when Gerard asked that.
"You wanna know what's wrong? Because of that bitches dick of a father, Avenged Sevenfold is now after us. Apparently, he had already promised her to M. Shadows as payment from money borrowed in the past. Now they're calling us saying we have what rightfully belongs to them.", Franks rant came to an end. I felt Gerard's grip tightened around my small hand. I was starting to feel sick. My dad had already gave me up to a different gang?
"How could he have not told us that!? I'll kill him!", Gerard snarled.
"Oh, and that's not even the worst part. She's not just meant to be property of M. Shadows. She's supposed to become Mrs. Shadows. She's arranged to marry the leader of Avenged Sevenfold.", Frank said with distaste. A strangled sob escaped my lips. My father had signed me over for marriage!? It had been that easy for him to just hand me over. I can't believe he would do this do me. I felt my heart shatter into a million little pieces.
"We'll deal with this in the morning. For now, summon more guards. I don't want to take any chances. Goodnight.", Gerard wrapped his arm around my waist and took me upstairs. I was in a daze as I changed into pajamas and climbed in bed. Gerard silently slid in next to me. He stroked my hair and the water works came. My sobs were broken and filled with pain and fear.
"How could he do this to me? He gave me away like I was nothing. I sacrificed my freedom for that fucking bastard!", I choked out.
"It's okay. They won't get you. I'll make sure of it.", Gerard soothed. Sobs wracked my body. It felt as though my heart was being torn apart. My own father had given me up to get rid of his debt. Twice. He had no qualms with handing me over. I'd have to spend the rest of my life in hiding. I'll never have a normal life. Ever.
"He ruined my life. I'll never have a normal life. I hate him.", I whimpered into Gerard's shirt.
"Shhh. It's okay. I'll give you the best life possible, love.", he whispered. I didn't respond as I drifted into sleep

I was running down the street. It was empty and dark. My two biggest fears. The dark and being alone. My heart rate climbed higher and higher. I was wearing a tattered black dress. An ominous figure was looming over me. I couldn't escape him. I kept trying to run, but there was no where to go. Someone grabbed me, snaking their arms around my waist. I could feel their hot breath on my neck.
"You will be mine. You can't escape me", the raspy voice whispered into my ear.
"No, please. Let me go. I never wanted any of this!", I screamed at the person. Their grip on me became suffocating. I could feel myself being consumed by the darkness.

I jolted to an upright position. I took into my surroundings and my heart rate began to drop. I recognized it as Gerard's room. I sucked in air and blew it out slowly to calm myself. Gerard was still asleep next to me. The red numbers on the alarm lock informed me that it was 4:13 AM. My body was covered in a layer of sweat and I felt gross from all the crying. I decided to take a shower to help me relax. I stripped and got in the shower. I let the warm water wash away everything. After I finished I cocooned myself in black towel. I gazed at myself in the mirror. The green eyes looking back at me were vacant. I wasn't going to let myself slip away. I wouldn't let this take away my fire. I walked to the closet and put on some undergarments and pajamas. I laid down in bed. I studied Gerard's face. He looked so peaceful. I still couldn't figure him out. For some reason I wanted to know him. There was darkness in him. That part was dangerous.
"Why are you staring at me?", his hazel eyes snapped open to look at me. I gasped in surprise.
"I had a bad dream, so I took a shower to relax. I can't sleep now.", I answered quietly. His eyes were soft as he listened. He wrapped an arm around my waist and pulled me closer.
"It's okay. Nothing's going to hurt.", he whispered.
"You don't know that.", I said.
"Then I'll try my damn best to protect you.", his voice was firm. I whispered a 'thank you' before drifting off to sleep.

I woke up to the sound of Gerard rustling through his clothes. I stretched and sat up. It was 8:30. I was glad I hadn't slept in too much. Gerard walked out all dressed.
"You're leaving?", I asked nervously.
"I have to go to California for a few days to meet with Avenged Sevenfold. I need to see what's going on with this deal. I'm taking Ray and Mikey. Frank will be watching you. I've hired more guards to ensure you're safety.", he explained.
"You're leaving me with Frank!? No! Leave Ray or Mikey. Not him. Please. Or...or take me with you.", I pleaded, hating how desperate I sounded. Gerard motioned for me to come to him. I crawled out of bed and walked over to him. He wrapped his arms around me and looked me in the eyes.
"Nothing's going to happened to you, love.", he comforted me. I refused to be alone with Frank.
"No, please. Just let me go. I'll stay hidden and everything. I wanna be with you.", I don't know where that sentence came. I hid my surprise better than Gerard did. His eyes lit up and he pecked me on the lips.
"I'll tell the guys that we're all going then."

Sorry for such a delay, guys! I've been crazy busy. I promise to get the chapters out sooner! I don't wanna leave y'all hangin'. I'm not sure how I feel about this chapter. Let me know what you think. I may revise it.
