Bronx was still crying! It had been an hour so far. Pete just broke the news to him that Meagan wouldn't be around anymore. I honestly felt horrible for the little guy. This woman he'd come to know for all of his life (that he remembers, anyways) was suddenly never going to be around anymore. I mean, the kid didn't really even know me, so this had to be really hard on him. I felt guilty.

"Buddy, it's okay. You still have mommy and I, who will always be here," Pete consoled him. Bronx was still in Pete's lap, limbs wrapped around his daddy tightly. It was so heartbreaking to see how much pain Bronx was in and how much it pained Pete. I honestly felt like I shouldn't be there. I was the reason Meagan was gone. If I'd never told Pete that I still loved him, if I'd never moved to LA, but moved back to Chicago, none of this would have happened.

"I'm going to go," I whispered to Pete and he shook his head.

"No, stay, please," he begged softly.

"Bronx is clearly in distress. I feel responsible," I whispered.

"No! Don't even think that!" Pete whispered loudly.

"I feel so uncomfortable... just call me later Pete, okay?" I stated. We still had yet to tell Bronx that he had a little sister on the way.

"We still need to tell him," Pete whispered. Bronx hadn't listened to a thing we'd said this past hour, so we didn't think he'd choose now.

"Tell me what?" He asked through tears, still crying. Pete and I looked at each other, unsure of what to do.

"Well..." Pete said, and Bronx pulled back to look at his daddy. "Mandy and I are having a baby."

Bronx turned to look at me, tears still streaming down his face and his breath catching from the hour of crying. He looked at my belly.

"I'm going to have a brother?" He asked, sniffling.

"Well, a sister actually," I replied. Bronx looked from me to Pete, then burst into tears again. Well that went well.
