Frank's POV

My eyes peeled open, and i was blinded by a bright light.

"Why?" A stern voice demanded.

I was in a hospital, i knew it. Jamia was fast asleep next to me in my bed. My mother was stood up infront of me.

"Why, frank!?" She scowled at me.

I took a tighter hold of jamia.

"Since when did you care?" I growled.

I hated my mother. She was stubborn, and harsh, and just a bad person. But she was rich as fuck, didn't deserve it though.

"Since you were born!" She slapped her hands on her sides.

"Go away, mom. I need to talk to my wife" I rolled my eyes.

She huffed and left the room. I gently shook jamia awake.

"Frankie?" She looked up, half-awake.

"I'm here, hun" I pursed my lips.

"Why'd you do it? I thought you would stay for me" Her voice broke at the end of the sentence. I knew she was close to crying. Guilt overwhelmed me.

"You don't know how sorry i am" My eyes started to water. "I changed my mind when i heard you knock, but it was too late.."

"Frank, i'm so sorry"
