Chapter 8
Soon Harry found Padfoote’s room and decided that he needed him more than the pretty lady Padfoote was lying next to. So using more wandless magic Harry conjured a giant water balloon above the bed and it was almost freezing cold water. Then with a grin on his face and a twinkle in his eyes, Harry blinked and the bed sized, ice cold water balloon down on top of Sirius and Serena.
It was a very shocked couple that awoke from little Harry’s cold water balloon. Sirius from the cold water that brought him to a full alertness of an attack as he quickly separated from Serena. Serena was awakened by the sudden and abrupt with drawl of Sirius from her arse which wasn’t pleasant as Harry not wanting to wake up Serena had shielded her from the effects of the water balloon.
Sirius and Serena once they could focus again noticed the laughter of a certain black hair, green eyed mischievous toddler how was laughing his heart out and pointing at Sirius saying padfoote wet, padfoote wet doggy. This brought a questioning look from Serena as she stared at Sirius and asked, “Is there something I should know about you that you haven’t told me yet Mr. Black?”
Sirius smirked at the question and instantly transformed into his Grim Animagus form which was a much drier form than Sirius was and started to walk toward Harry. Serena on the other hand stated, “It seems I now understand why you prefer that position as your other half seems to have drifted into your love making. Although this will explain any roving eyes you may have in the future since a dog such has yourself cannot help but want to spread himself around.”
Serena’s words caused Sirius to transform back and pout at her with his best puppy dog eyes which caused Serena to laugh loudly. She quickly walked into the closet and came back out dressed for the beach and then scooped up Harry. She said, “Well get yourself ready while I take care of Harry here. Then we’ll have some breakfast and spend the rest of the day at the beach before you have to head back to England and face the wizarding world head on.”
Harry’s face lit up at Serena’s words and he hugged her tightly and waved goodbye to Sirius while Sirius could only stare at Serena’s back side as she strutted out the door and down the hall. To say the least, it was a most wonderful day to have spent on the beach as the Black family elves provided an on beach cabana so they could take some time from the sun and just enjoy the sound of the surf and the excellent local food offering of fresh fruits and fish that was part of their lunch and dinner. Little Harry was set down for a nap after he crawled into Sirius’ lap curled up and went to sleep.
