Offer them such an outrageous deal that they will have no choice but to stop. If you have a clothing store, offer a buy one get one half off special. If you run a Nail Salon, have a day where everything is 50% off. If you run a barber shop, have dollar Tuesdays where anyone can come in and get a fade for just $1.
Dont be afraid to ask your clients if they know anyone who would like what you do. Give them rewards for sending you business and they will do it happily. Some may even do it without expecting anything in return just because they admire you and your work so much.
