Chapter Eight
White Knight becomes Black Knight, watch out for the fun. Character Deaths! Oh, and there is plot involved (smut doesn't do half as much fun without one, people!).

"Wow," Xander said as he listened to the report Spike
had to give him. Wasn't so well - but it could be to
their advantage.
Giles had respelled his home and he wasn't there when
Spike came along, but then Riley Finn had shown his
deceitfully unugly set of features and Spike had told
the fool some shit about Buffy being a real whore and
screwing Angelus big time.
He'd sent the steaming peasant over to LA.
Xander chuckled as he mentally projected the course of
events from there. They either led to a lot of dead
commandos and Angel on the run from the Initiative to
some equally nice picture of soulboy screaming in one
of the white rooms the Initiative featured for their
slightly different guests.
"Well, well, well!" he laughed. "Sounds like beefstick
goes to meet our dashing deadboy..." If everything did
work out like expected, beefstick would dust Angel's
sorry butt. Maybe he should get a warning.
And maybe not! Xander decided, rubbing his jaw. The
broodguy hadn't told him about the scheme he and Buffy
were cooking up against Faith...instead he'd knocked
him out cold. So, he could finally get back at him.
"Somehow I do like that."
"Me too, mate," Spike said, "but what happens next?"
"You get to meet up with Harmony and tell Faith and
her goons to get me some new meat!" Xander said. "Tell
her to look in the area around the Bronze. And you two
will go to Buffy's dorm and collect someone from there!
You know what to do with her." But then, a moment later,
he had another idea. "No, wait, we'll get her into
another place...and remember, you're not to drink a
drop!"
"And where?"
"Riley hurt you, didn't he? Bet his hallway could need
some new decoration!" Xander said. And named the address
of Finn's bachelor's appartment. "Oh, and don't forget
to leave a message at the door. Something like...hm,
Hand's of, Iowa. And that X as a signature."
"I'll comply with pleasure," Spike said menacingly and
laughed. "You're really a nice guy, Xander!" Chuckled
and killed the conncetion.
Xander looked over to Anya and rubbed his hands. "Now,
we just have to get some bigger lair...," he said.
"What about the cave the old master was living in?"
"Mhm, good idea for a base, for now," Xander nodded
and sighed. "You better get some help and prepare it
right away. Oh, and build a big cage down there, we
need some foodstuff."
"And what will you do?" Anyanka asked, as she was
clothing herself again. She was gorgeous. "I hope
you get me some toys like Faith."
"We can raid the sexshops tomorrow night," Xander
replied dryly and smiled. "Tonight I'm going to see
Buffy and tell her about how bad I feel without her!"
Amongst the observation as how exactly Riley Finn had
mistreated dear Spikeboy and what he'd asked.
But before he would call Mrs. S and give her some little
bit of an instruction about what her daughter and Riley
Finn were doing. She was just the right person to report
the corpse and be pissed at Riley.
Riley Finn smiled coldly at the other members of his
team and used the themorgraphic scanner to make sure
there was only the vampire and one human female, his
next victim probably, inside of the building.
"Go," Riley whispered into the com on his throat and
jumped forward, assault rifle at the ready. Seconds
later the team reached the house and then the demo
people placed their charges at the openings and then
blew the windows open. Even before the smoke had
settled, the sound of the new explosives was really
low so there wasn't even any noise, they jumped into
the building, looking for a target.
Riley saw how the woman, who was getting up from
behind a desk, went down under one commando's
assault and then the vampire growled at them and
tried to attack the team. He threw one man against a
wall, his previously good looks stripped to reveal
the vile beast behind, and attacked another, ducking
a stunshot from the third.
Riley raised his rifle and aimed carefully before
going through the whole clip. The new wooden bullets
slammed home into the beast's muscular chest and
made it stagger back from the hurt soldier. One
short shriek later he was nothing but dust anymore.
"Oops," Riley said, "looks like I got the wrong
clip into this!" Of course it had been no stupid
mistake but full intent, but noone would come to
court martial him for that.
None of the soldiers raised the question.
Riley just wondered why the brunette woman screamed
and was struggling furiously against the solider,
even managed to head-butt him and knee him in the
six before some other man reset his stunner and
sent her into dreamland country. "What a bitch!"
Graham commented before looking for the gurgling
Forrest. "You okay, man?"
"I'm fucking fine," Forrest spat out in agony.
"Collect the ashes," Riley said and grinned as he
detected one metal object inside of it. A ring. Some
curious design...oh yeah, exactly what he needed. Maybe
she'd recognize it. That and one plastic bag with the
remains of her former lover would show Buffy who was
boss in their relationship. "Let's get outa here!"
"What about the bitch?"
"Take her with you," Riley shrugged. If she was loyal to
the Hostiles, she was a traitor to her race and someone
to be punished. He knew his men could use a new toy and
afterwards...well, the professor could always use new
human rabbits for her experiments. "Now let's go!"
He had a date with Buffy Summers to keep.
Xander left his wolf-form as he came near the Slayer.
He could smell her, feel her nearby and he imagined his
heartbeat accerelated. She was here!
She was doing her usual patrol route.
Xander sniffed and noticed some commando boys near her,
to bad. He'd have to get rid of them. He was pretty sure
he could take them but he didn't need them dead right
now. Far better to have them beaten back.
He strolled over the graveyard and tugged at his new
dark duster, a present from Spike. Didn't even look so
bad in connection with the rest of the outfit and it
surely was something of an advantage for nighttime.
He smiled as she came into his view, battling some
unfortunate fledgeling strolling around the vincinity.
The vamp had no chance in hell against her, but she was
furious. Kept pounding him with hating shreaks and ever
new kicks and punches until he didn't seem to have any
unbroken bone left in his body. And then she kicked the
vamp in the groin, making him cry out in agony before
finally staking him.
He clapped his hands as he neared her, knewing the
commandos were already encircling him. "You surely did
not loose your touch, Buffy," Xander said as he walked
up to the heavily panting blonde Slayer. "What's so
wrong?"
"Xander," Buffy said and concern was on her face. "Run!
They're all around...!" But the commandos already were
there and then they showed their flashy weapons. "You!"
Buffy finished as it was already way to late.
The commander called at him to give up and they would
not hurt him to bad.
Xander stared at the black clad figure with the facemask
to keep him from being identified. Someone had seen to
many bad ninja movies when they designed that uniforms.
"Yeah, and let you bastards stick your dirty hands into
me?" Xander sneered, shaking his head. "Just leave me
alone! I don't want to fight anyone..."
Never gonna happen, of course not, so they attacked.
Xander evaded the first shots and just got one stun hit
to the chest - hurt worse than he'd thought but he was
already recuperating. And then he was near the first
commando and punched the man out, clearly felt bone
break and teeth, too, as his fist connect with a jaw.
Xander ducked another shot and grabbed the second
commando, this time he simply used the shrieking boy
as a human shield against two others and glared at the
commander who was pointing a pistol at him. A shot
rang out and some bullet slammed into his hip, Xander
staggered back. "Give it up or he's finished!" he
threatened with his more demonic features on his face.
He was pretty angry and was tempted to rip the insolent
little shits to shreds.
The officer didn't even think twice about it but shot
his own man in order to get at Xander, then Buffy was
behind him and knocked him out with one blow.
The two remaining commandos tried to move away from
each other and get an angle on him, but Buffy picked
up the fallen officer's pistol and fired in the air.
They froze in midstep.
"You got one chance to walk away from here," Buffy
hissed enraged. "Noone has to die tonight if you do
as I say!"
"But...Commander Finn told us..."
"FUCK Riley Finn!" Buffy snapped, her temper coming to
the fore. "Tell that little shit he and I are gonna
talk later about this, and now MOVE IT!"
They backed down. Xander let his demon go and threw
the moaning hostage to the ground, then he and Buffy
left them behind. As soon as they were out of earshot,
Buffy began to curse.
"Are you okay?" Xander asked, sure she was fine.
"Yeah, I'm fine, just bloody great!" Buffy sneered
and then shook her head. "It's just that whole damn
thing. Told him to call them off but does HE listen?"
"I suppose we talk about Riley here?"
"Yeah. Iowa commando boy, soon to be dickless," Buffy
grinned and looked at me. "That was some mighty fine
fighting you did back there. When did you learn that?"
"I wish I knew, I just did it," Xander admitted the
truth with a shrugg. "Hope you won't get into troubles
for that stunt."
"I can handle this," Buffy replied without care. She
clenched her teeth. "These goons start to get to be
a real pain in the ass around here."
"Don't tell me!" Xander nodded. "I mean, since I'm a
soulboy I'm not that popular around here...but before
I picked up a few tidbits. Everyone just HATES these
bullies!" He shrugged. "I mean, what's the world coming
to when the whitehats simply shoot their own to get at
you?"
"Mhm-hm," Buffy agreed shuddering. "These bastards were
trying to hard!" She sighed. "I hope your are well?"
"Not so much. Tried to get to Giles this evening, but
he wasn't there. Spike was strolling around and then
I met beefstick. He showed our resident Billy Idol clone
his handgun and thought he could play though guy!"
Xander began to talk and inwardly allowed himself a
big grin. "If you ask me, he was just about pathetic,
but he asked some lot of dumb questions about you and
Spike fed him a whole load of shit."
"Did he?" Buffy wondered. "What was Spike doing at
Giles' place, mind you!"
"Spike came there to sell some info about where a few
vamps were gonna strike against, you have no idea how
bad he is after what happened to Dru!" Xander groaned.
"With that chip in his head he's had it...absoltely
everyone just hates him and he can't even get some
blood. He was starving and decided to come back."
"To Giles?"
"He was waiting for you to show up. Where's that old
Watcher anyway?"
"SanFran, he and some buddy of his there are into some
research about some book of his. Giles thinks you could
be some kind of supervamp, a daywalker."
"Well, I have no idea, but I certainly can do some nice
tricks!" Xander smiled as he bowed. "Dru never got around
to explain what the fuck she had done to me...just showed
her gameface when I came home and knocked me out cold.
Next I knew I awake in that cheap crate and...you know."
"I remember Harmony was there, as well," Buffy said.
"Don't remind me!" Xander moaned as he stiffled a laugh.
"The cheap bitch got me into her bed...mind you, I even
enjoyed screwing her." He grimaced. "I just acted out
of spite and when I came back home...I always hated my
damn parents anyway, but that..."
"And then you killed them."
"Caught them celebrating my death. I mean, they were
partying becuase I bought it!" Xander nodded and sobbed
a bit. "I cannot even feel sorry for it...I just hated
them so much."
"It was the demon, not you," Buffy said and quickly
switched to another matter. "What was Riley asking about
from Spike, anyway?"
"I couldn't hear much. But I heard Riley mention Angel,"
Xander said. "I was dumb enough to try talking with him
to get his goons from my back, told him I was no killer
anymore...he just sent in the shock troops."
"Oh my, you mentioned Angel?"
"Said he and you were together back then, tried to tell
him we could, you know...I'm just sorry."
"You better be!" Buffy gulped and paled. "If that damn
GI Joe wannabe has done anything to ANGEL...!" She was
gritting her teeth and looked ready to do murder. "I
won't know what I do."
"Well, better be carefull," Xander said. "I saw some of
his guys around when Parker died. I don't say they did
it but I never trusted him before, you know."
Buffy smirked and nodded, slowly. "You're okay?"
"I get by, but better don't ask me how!" Xander replied
while looking away. "Oh heck, Buffy, even like this...I
just can't leave you alone and walk into the sun like I
want to..."
"Hey, it's not the end of the world," Buffy smiled.
"Just remember Angel. You can go on and you will go on,
Xander."
"Don't I always?" Xander said. "I...I am not sure if
I said something...stupid last time..."
"You didn't," Buffy said and closed her eyes, panted.
"I think I fell in love with you, too."
"Oh great," Xander said nearly missing a step. "You know
how long I dreamt about to hear that? And now it just
scares the hell out of me!" He sniveled. "You sure you
can't get Willow to repeat the spell after you and me,
uh...?"
Buffy's face froze and she stared at me. "Don't you
know?"
"What?"
"Willow is dead."
"Willow?" Xander asked, feigning shock. He was totally
embarassed he'd said something so stupid to her but
she took it for shock. "OUR Willow? What? When? HOW?"
"The night she did the spell," Buffy said angrily.
"Riley came to me and said you had done it."
Xander looked at her and shook his head. "I swear you
I did not kill Willow."
"I doubt it was a vampire, whoever it was used a blade,"
Buffy whispered. "He or they killed her parents as well
and left some message...like with Parker."
"You don't think...?" Xander said, implying she did
think that it had been Riley. Yyeesszz! This was just
going so utterly well. Now, all he had to do was to
leave some damning evidence at Riley's place and then
arrange it to be found by someone she trusted.
"Well," Buffy said, "I hope to hell he hasn't done
anything really stupid! You have a place to stay for
the day?"
"No."
"My dorm room has a nice big shelf, you could come with
me. I really would like to talk with you...," she said
and as he touched her she let it happen. She was in the
embrace and in the kiss before she knew what happened
and then Xander let go of her. She grapsed for breath.
"Sorry, but I...I can't stand this, I want you so much
Buffy," Xander muttered. "I'll find something else to
make it."
"Do you need any blood?"
"I got into the slaugtherhouse, Buffy," Xander said a
bit to coky. "I can take care of myself, really. But
I cannot stand to be near you...I just want to...and
you know what will happen then!"
"Don't remind ME!" Buffy whined, tearing her heart out.
"Xander? Promise me, promise you will meet me tomorrow
at midnight at the old school!"
"I will be there," Xander promised at once. "I love
you, Buffy! Never doubt that, I could never see you
harmed!" he called out before he vanished into the
night.
"I love you too," Buffy whispered under her breadth
before she returned to her house. She wanted to talk
with her mother.
