Chapter 9
Editor: The Resident
________________________________________

Paul Lovegood, the editor of The Quibbler, and father of his cherished and enraged daughter, was standing in front of his daughter in the middle of his office, while all his co-workers were listening in. It was almost evening, and his daughter was unusually stubborn.

"I can't believe you, father. You do not allow me to define my own life. You forbid me to join something as nice as a harem with the Harry Potter - the man who was able to increase the sales of our barmy newspaper, he is the one who is going to defeat the evil ball-pusher, and he is the one, who is amazingly rich, and he is the one who is going to push you and your newspaper straight into the sky.

"What right do you have to make remarks about my breasts? They might be straight and firm, they might be changed and larger, but they are my breasts and not yours. I do not care one little boggle what you are thinking about my legs, long or ugly, crooked or otherwise, these legs are also mine.

"You might be my father a thousand times, but you do not have any right commenting about my ass, because that is mine as well. It might be tighter than before, it might be broadcasting itself to the entire world to admire, but it is still my ass.

"And, don't you compare my hair with that of my mother, because it doesn't look like hers anymore. Do not tell me I betrayed her by changing my hair. I did not change it, Harry Potter did. Don't you dare run to an attorney because Harry Potter changed my hair."

Luna was out of breath. She moved slowly to a chair near a desk and sat down.

"But Luna-poop, you can't join that harem," her father whined. "What about our trips to find the Crumple-Horned Snorkacks? For all those years, we were searching for them. Everyone thinks that we are crazy by searching for non-existent creatures, but we had always faith. Your mother spent fifteen long years with me searching for the Crumple-Horned Snorkacks.

"Now your mother is gone, and you are the one who will replace her. We are both unbeatable, and I have the feeling that the coming trip to Sweden will be successful. Think about what the world will say when we find the Crumple-Horned Snorkack. "

Luna looked at her father sadly.

"Dad, what are you going to do when I leave the house to live with Harry?"

Paul looked incredulously at Luna.

"You would not do that to your father," he said.

"I think I will," Luna replied slowly. "Nor will I come back to you. It will be the last time we see each other."

Paul Lovegood frowned. Not only was his daughter changed physically, but her behaviour was changed as well. It sounded like puberty rebellion.

"I will force you to come back, Luna. You might be sixteen years old, but you are not an adult yet. I have the right to call the Aurors and let them drag you back to me," he said sadly.

Luna nodded calmly.

"And why is that, Daddy?"

"Because you are underage, and that is what I can do," her father said with a smirk.

"And what happens when I walk away, and you can't find me?" Luna asked innocently.

"You would not do such a foolish thing, Luna. The Aurors would find you anyway," he said.

"I am not so sure about that, Daddy. I would walk away, and the Daily Prophet and all other magical magazines would receive articles from me about The Quibbler and you. Articles which will ridicule you so badly that The Quibbler would not survive. Then, you will be without income and you will be forced to work for your money in a normal job, and then you can forget about the Crumple-Horned Snorcacks for many years, if not ever."

Luna's father looked horror-stricken to his daughter.

"That is not all, my dear father. I would no longer accept you as my father. You feel the need to lock me up until I am seventeen years old, and I will leave you, and do everything in my power to hurt you, until you are destroyed.

"Unless you give me permission to join Harry's harem, then you do not lose anything, but you will gain.

"You will receive at least ten million Galleons from Harry, because he needs to pay you if I am underage. Then you keep your daughter of course, and The Quibbler continues to operate with you as editor-in-chief and sole owner. You can continue with searching for the Crumple-Horned Snorcacks. You never know, maybe you might find it one of these days, somewhere in the future. I will continue to write nice articles for you, and because of my connection with Harry, you will get many additional readers."

Now it was Paul's turn to search for a chair. He sat down on one of the closest chairs he could find, and looked to his daughter, horror-stricken.

"Would you do something so terrible to your father, Luna?" he asked.

"What you want to do with me, father, is as terrible as I want to do with you," Luna replied calmly.

"But... but you would destroy me?" stammered her father.

"You would destroy me as well, father. With this body," she waved her hand over her body," I require a lot of exercise and sex, and no boy in the world can give me this, only Harry.

"Threatening me with imprisonment will destroy me too, and that is no behaviour for a father towards his daughter, or a human towards the other human. Do not underestimate your daughter because this harem thing is not a puberty case, it is a fact... a fact of my life, not yours."

Paul Lovegood, the editor of The Quibbler, and father of his enraged and dangerous daughter, let his head down... he was crying. His daughter did not react further, than only watching her father.

"Why are you doing this to me?" her father said.

"I am paying you back with the threats you gave me, father. Do you give me permission to join Harry's harem?"

It was quiet for some minutes.

The beaten Paul Lovegood, the editor of The Quibbler, and father of his very dangerous daughter, nodded. "You have my permission."

Luna looked her father straight in the eyes. "I will send Harry to you tomorrow. He will negotiate with you about the price. When you and he are finished, I will come home for a short time to collect my stuff and then I will leave."

She stood up and went to the fireplace. "The Burrow!" she yelled, stepping into the emerald flames, and then she disappeared.

Ginny was kissing Harry soundly and full on the mouth, straight in front of her parents. She sat on his lap, both arms around his neck, her long hair surrounding Harry and her mouth, and she was devouring him. Her father was still staring unbelievingly at the bank transfer note, and her mother was smiling widely at the kissing pair.

Quietly, five astonished freckled faces appeared from the corner of the staircase, staring at the shocking scene in their kitchen.

Molly Weasley was looking at the happy pair. There was no doubt in her mind that Ginny was satisfied; looking at Harry's face, and that ridiculous thing that men usually did, she knew Ginny got what she was longing for.

That was one hell of a kiss, she thought. The two were still busy with each other, and she wondered when they would come up for air. She turned around when she heard the noise of people behind her, which turned out to be her other sons. For sure they had heard the whole drama and she knew exactly how her sons would react. They were men after all.

Ron was the first one to enter the kitchen, soon followed by the twins, Bill, and then Charlie. All of them looked over their father's shoulder at the bank transfer note. They took chairs, sat down, and stared at each other in confusion.

"Am I to understand that Harry bought Ginny for his harem for ten million Galleons?" Bill asked.

Arthur looked at Bill and nodded briefly. "When he thought I wasn't going to agree, he said he would give everything he had."

All boys gaped at their father.

"And he would then have to move in with us," finished Arthur.

"But what is that paper then, dad?" asked Charlie confused.

"With a harem contract, the groom, Harry, needs to pay one million Galleons, which he never can get back. This paper is the bank transfer note, which tells that the million Galleons are already transferred to our vault."

"Does that mean we are rich?" Ron asked anxiously.

"Yes, we are rich beyond anything, Ron," his mother chastised him. "But we have also one million Galleons in our vault. You can say that we are rich in money as well."

"Ten million Galleons he paid to have Ginny?" Bill asked astonished.

"When will he pay the rest of the money, dad?" Charlie asked.

"When they get married," his father answered.

"Ten million Galleons for Ginny," Bill repeated again. All boys looked up to the still kissing couple.

"Maybe we should stop him, before Ginny devours Harry and he doesn't pay the money." whispered Fred in the background.

"No, Fred, have you seen how strong Harry looks?" George said. "That is dangerous."

"Well, George, we'll ask Ron to stop them. Nobody will pay one Galleon for him anyway."

Ron became red and stared at the twins. "You two shut up!"

The fireplace flickered and flashed with green flames, and Luna came through the flames, and landed gracefully on her feet. All boys were staring at the changed Luna, the amazingly beautiful woman: sexy and elegant. Luna had no eyes for the boys, but only for the two kissing persons at the kitchen table.

Harry and Ginny sensed a new presence, broke their kiss, and looked up. They saw Luna standing in front of the fireplace. She did not look happy, but she looked determined - as if she wanted to do a job and get it done.

"Luna?" Harry asked.

"He agreed. I pushed him, but he agreed in the end. I can join the harem as well," Luna said. She walked to the couple and kissed Harry full on his lips.

"Yummy, I taste strawberry."

She looked to Ginny questionably.

"Yes, my toothpaste is strawberry flavoured," laughed Ginny.

Luna turned to Harry. "I told my dad that you will visit him tomorrow to arrange the business," she said.

Harry looked at her hesitantly, but nodded. "Of course I will arrange the business with you father."

"When do we marry?" Luna asked. She grabbed a chair next to Harry and sat down.

"I can't get married until after my birthday, the thirty-first of July. Ginny can't get married before her birthday, August the eleventh. You are already sixteen, so there are no restrictions for you. I suggest that we have the wedding on Ginny's birthday - if that is alright with Ginny and you."

Everyone in the kitchen was following the strange conversation with growing interest and mixed reactions.

"But... there are several things I need to do first. First, I need to get official permission from Tonks' parents, your father and," he looked at the Weasleys, "from mum and dad Weasley. When I have that, I need to buy rings, and then I need to propose to you all. When you girls accept, you all are engaged to me, and then the official date for the wedding can be discussed."

Luna was suddenly aware of the presence of all the Weasleys. "I am sorry, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, boys. A good evening to you all," she said with a big smile.

Everyone nodded and exchanged greetings, but Ron's gaze was fixed on Luna's breasts.

"Am I wearing something of yours, Ron?" Luna asked sharply.

Ron became instantly red, and looked Luna straight in the face. "Uhm... no... of cause... not... you are... changed."

"I belong to Harry now, so keep your eyes somewhere else," Luna said.

The fireplace flickered and flashed with green flames again, and Paul Lovegood came through the flames, and landed flat on his behind.

"Good evening, Weasleys. I am sorry to butt in, but I am following my daughter," Paul Lovegood said apologetically.

He saw his daughter sitting next to Harry with Ginny on his lap.

"I see... the famous Mr. Potter... thief of my daughter's heart, Paul said.

"Mr. Lovegood, it is good to see you again. We have some business to discuss tomorrow, I believe?" Harry said with one eyebrow crooked.

"That is my understanding," Paul Lovegood said. "I've been getting my commands from my daughter lately. You are the individual, who is willingly and voluntarily accepting more than one wife?"

"Yes, sir."

"Well, I don't want to know the reason, but what I want to know is what we have to talk about tomorrow," Paul Lovegood said brusquely.

"According the harem law from the Ministry of Magic, we need to start the negotiations to include your daughter in my harem, sir. If you want, we can do those negotiations now."

Paul Lovegood nodded. "Now is a good moment."

Harry stood up slowly, carefully holding Ginny in his arms. He carried her to one of the free chairs and gently sat her down. He turned to Paul Lovegood.

"Sir, I would like to officially negotiate with you about the inclusion of your daughter in my harem. I am willingly to pay ten million Galleons for your daughter."

A flash of lighting appeared briefly between the Harry and Paul Lovegood. The magical signal that the negotiations were officially started.

"Excuse me?" Paul Lovegood said perplexed. "I don't understand."

"I've offered ten million Galleons for your daughter," repeated Harry.

"Ten million... for my daughter?" he said disbelievingly.

"Yes, sir"

"For my daughter?"

Yes, sir"

"You said million?"

"No, sir, ten million Galleons," Harry repeated slowly.

Paul Lovegood looked helplessly at Arthur Weasley.

"Arthur, can you help me? I do not understand Mr. Potter here. What did he say?" Paul Lovegood asked desperately.

"Paul, he said ten million Galleons, and he is serious. You heard it correctly," Arthur explained calmly.

"Do you accept, sir?" Harry asked.

Paul Lovegood nodded.

"Can you answer with a yes or no, sir? Otherwise the magical negotiations magic will not understand your answer."

"Yes."

A flash of light appeared between Paul Lovegood and Harry, briefly connecting the two men, and disappeared as quickly as it came.

"What was that?" Paul asked.

"That was the acceptance of your answer, sir. I bought your daughter for ten million Galleons. I will transfer one million Galleons now, as the ministerial law for harems requires."

Harry took his checkbook out of his robes again, took his quill, and wrote out a transfer of one million Galleons to Paul Lovegood.

"Here you are, sir. All things are now in order up to now. Please take a seat, Mr. Lovegood."

He led Paul Lovegood to an empty chair and sat him down. The poor man was staring at the money transfer note.

Arthur Weasley was smiling understandably at Paul Lovegood.

Harry looked briefly at Ginny and Luna, who were staring open-mouthed at him. He moved towards the girls, and gently closed their each of their mouths with a finger.

He turned to the Weasleys. "Mr. and Mrs. Weasley, I would like to ask for your permission to marry your daughter."

Both Weasleys nodded.

He turned to Paul Lovegood. "Mr. Lovegood, I would like to ask your permission to marry your daughter."

Paul Lovegood nodded.

"Yessssssssssss!" Harry yelled, waving a fist in the air. He leapt over to the girls, and hugged them, kissing both girls on the lips. "Do you want to have the wedding on the eleventh of August?"

Both girls nodded.

"I'm going back to Privet Drive," Harry said happily. "I see you both very soon, I expect."

Harry walked, with a big smirk on his face, to the fireplace. "Mrs. Figg's place!" he yelled and disappeared with a green flash.

Nobody said a word in the Burrow, which was a record.

"What just happened?" Paul Lovegood asked, and looked again to the money transfer note in his hands.
