Love Rug
by Mina Lightstar
It was the second time they were sharing a room, and the second time Kurapika was sitting in bed with a book, trying not to think of Leorio singing in the bathroom.
Kurapika had seen Leorio naked before. Not because he wanted to, of course, but because Leorio had assumed that parading around in the nude after a shower was perfectly acceptable behavior. So one could say that Kurapika knew Leorio a little better than he should have by that point.
Leorio knew Kurapika a little better now, too; he emerged from the steamy bathroom wearing a pair of low-fitting boxer shorts. Moisture still glistened on his skin, and he was toweling his hair dry.
Again, what was visible of the older man's abdomen caught Kurapika's eye. He stared, trying to make it look like he was still reading, and realized the glimpse he'd gotten the first time (before he'd leapt from the bed to give Leorio a right-hook) had been correct. Leorio was not hairy anywhere else, but yet a trail of hair, darker against his skin, ran down from his navel and disappeared into the shorts.
Kurapika thought it was a little uncanny. Not that he'd seen many other naked men to compare, of course.
"I can feel you looking, you know," Leorio quipped, actually sounding proud.
"Huh?" Kurapika asked, blinking. He had been staring, but... "Oh. Sorry, I didn't mean--"
"It's fine." Leorio grinned and, leaving the towel to rest upon his shoulders, planted both hands on his hips and displayed himself with pride. "Do you like my love rug?"
Kurapika closed his book on his face, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
(Based on a true story. Well, you know. On a real guy.)
