Author’s Note:
Hi everyone! I just wanted to write a little Author’s Note before I started the story. I’ve already written the first few chapters of this one, and I wanted to warn you that it’s for a more mature audience/reader/whatever. It has a little bit of everything that is bad, including but not limited to some really bad language, violence, adult situations, sex, etc. If you have issues with any of that stuff, please do not read the story.
The idea for this story popped into my head one day about 3 months ago while I was ironing clothes for work and listening to the song “down and out” by The Academy Is… and I was wondering where the story behind the song came from, if it was something that William or someone he knows experienced, or if it was merely a story, made up to make a good song. The whole, wide premise for the story came into my head like a lightning bolt, so I have it pretty mapped out, I just have to add the dialogue and the details. Please bear with me if I don’t update as often as you would like me to. I work and I’m a full-time student, about to embark on 18 credits and an unpaid internship this fall semester, oh, and I have a life (usually), so sometimes it’s hard for me to get time to write, and even then sometimes it’s hard for me to actually sit down and concentrate on writing for very long. I will do my best to get the chapters up as quickly as possible.
Another thing is that this story is supposed to take place about two years ago, but it doesn’t really follow a realistic chronology. For instance, I put Michael in the band instead of Tom, even though Michael didn’t join til much later. But that’s why it’s a fiction, right?
I originally posted this story on www.theacademyis.biz, but I haven’t been getting much feedback on it. In fact, in the five chapters I’ve posted I’ve gotten 3 reviews, and in my humble opinion, this is a good story, so I don’t know what the deal is.
That said, I just wanted to say that I DO NOT OWN WILLIAM BECKETT, THE ACADEMY IS…, THE SONG DOWN AND OUT, PANIC! AT THE DISCO, OR PRETTY MUCH ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS STORY THAT EXISTS IN REAL LIFE. THIS STORY IS PURELY OUT OF MY IMAGINATION, AND NEVER REALLY HAPPENED. SO DON’T SUE ME, PLEASE! However, the characters Julia and Nick, and anyone else who might come up in the story who you don’t recognize, are figments of my overactive imagination, making them my characters. Please do not steal my story. I know that this happened to one of the girls in the ficwad.com Panic! At The Disco group, and I’m sure it’s happened a billion other times. If you like the story, please feel free to tell others about it, but don’t repost it with your name on it or anything, that’s just not right.
