Harry towelled off as he stepped out of the shower. He looked round his the bathroom the decor made him fell sick but he was beginning to enjoy having his own private bathroom. The whole room was plainly just wrong to him, it was dark and every where he looked he could see snakes looking back. Still slightly damp he left the room and returned back to his bed and thought about last night.
He had started feeling better as he was eating but it was nothing compared to how he felt when he was sitting and talking to Ginny. He hadn't said much but what he had seemed to lessen the pain he had been feeling. Afterwards they had just sat and leaned against each other looking at the empty fireplace. Harry thought that it was though they were sharing something as they sat there. However all too soon Ginny and said that they had to return to their own rooms. Harry had known that she was right but he was still reluctant.
As he pulled on his clothes he sat on the bed for a moment in thought. Today he was going to have to face them all, but what was more he would have to talk to his best friends about what he had experienced. He took a slow walk down to the kitchen still thinking about this, as he approached the closed kitchen door he could hear the noise beyond it. He waited a moment as he listened, the noise was familiar yet it pulled at his heart if he got anything wrong it would be these people he could hear who would suffer.
Harry pushed the door open and looked at the revelled scene. He could not have painted a better picture himself. Mrs Weasley and Dobby were working by the stove, Mr Weasley was at the head of the table reading the paper. Ron was eating feverishly and Hermione shaking her head at him every few seconds. Sitting quietly next to Ginny was Gabrielle. The sight of both girls made his heart lurch for a second but the sight of Ginny and the empty chair next to her made his conscious attack. Was she now really his girlfriend? How should he act towards her? What would the others think?
"Morning." He called out anyway.
"Harry!" replied Hermione as she looked round. Unlike last time she refrained from jumping up and rushing to him.
"Morning mate!"
"Morning Harry you look much better than when I last saw you."
Harry blushed slightly at the thought of Mrs Weasley seeing him how he was.
"I...I had a little help."
Gabrielle and Ginny looked at each other and smiled. It seemed to Harry that the room brightened as he looked at the pair sitting their. Just looking at them made him feel happy and safe at the same time
"Sit down Harry and have breakfast I swear you and Ron are nothing but skin and bones."
"Thanks Mrs Weasley." Replied Harry crossing to the seat next to Ginny. Every step he took felt that it was taking him closer to making a fool of himself. As he walked slowly he thought about the reactions of everybody in the room he had expected more, much more, obviously something had been said and so no one commented on what happened but he could still see the glances that both Ron and Hermione were giving him as he walked.
He sat down and looked at the table he just knew that if he looked or said anything to Ginny he would spoil it. As he considered what he had to do today he felt a light touch on his knee. As the pressure increased he looked at the only person that could be causing it. His eyes looked straight into Ginny's and he could see the questions written on her face.
"Feel better?" she whispered to him still not removing her hand.
Harry dropped his hand so that it covered her, he could feel the soft warmness under his as he lightly grasped it. Giving it a slight squeeze he replied quietly.
"Yes...much thanks."
Ginny sat back watched the rest of the kitchen. She had on purpose left her hand on Harry's leg it wasn't exactly what she wanted to do when she had seen him walk into the room she wanted to get up and kiss him. Not hard, not shockingly, just lightly to say good morning yet his face almost looked scared as he walked towards her.
Harry felt a small tug on his sleeve and so spun round to look at Dobby staring up at him. His huge eyes were full of tears and he looked frightened to Harry.
"Breakfast sir?"
"Thank you Dobby." Replied Harry taking the plate from Dobby but stopped as he saw the Elf hadn't moved. Harry placed the plate down in front of him but turned back towards the elf.
"I'm... I'm...sorry sir." Blurted Dobby before bursting into tears.
"It's alright you did the right thing."
"But sir you said..."
"It was really alright Dobby. Sometimes even I make mistakes, getting everybody was ok really."
"Oh the great Harry Potter forgives me."
"Yes Dobby now why don't you help Mrs Weasley."
Dobby's face broke into a grin before he turned and scampered of towards the sink.
Harry looked back at his plate but could feel the piercing glance of Hermione. He knew he was going to have to face her and Ron over many things he wished he could have gotten over a few of them before the matter of Dobby was brought forward. Looking directly at the clear eyes of Hermione he said.
"We need to talk about a number of things but not here."
"You're right we do." hissed Hermione.
Harry shook his head at the reply. It was exactly as he had expected but it still saddened him to here it. Picking up his fork he started to eat his breakfast in silence, glad that the comforting presence of Ginny was next to him. Much to the disapproving glances of Mrs Weasley and of Dobby Harry did not eat much and the smell of bacon was still making him sick. Therefore all too soon for Harry's mind breakfast was finished and he was now going to have to face Ron and Hermione.
Slowly like a man going to an execution he started to rise from his seat, as he did he felt Ginny's hand worm it's way into his. She gave his hand a brief squeeze as he stood with their hands still locked. Fearing that they might be seen he released her hand only to look into her face. It was open and smiling a small smile at him. He felt his heart lift looking into her face and surprisingly Gabrielle's smiling face was beaming at him over her shoulder as well.
"Don't worry." Ginny whispered to Harry.
Harry smiled in reply and turned towards the door. He heard the scraping of chairs as both Ron and Hermione got to their feet as well. The three of them walked in silence into the drawing room. To Harry he was beginning to like this room, it was not only clean, but also comfortable both to his body and his mind. It was though this room was becoming part of himself. Crossing to one of the chairs he sat and waited for Ron and Hermione to choose their own seats.
Surprising to Harry the two sat close together on the small sofa. Looking at his friends obviously wanting to be close together was tearing him into two. His first emotion was elation at seeing the pair together like they were. He was no expert on girls or relationships but he could see with his own eyes and he had heard others talk about it. Everything that he had seen and heard was right the pair were made for each other. The second emotion was fear, fear at what Voldemort would do to them. His recent experience was everything that he needed to know. Just looking at the pair he could start to imagine what atrocities that evil man would inflict upon them.
"So Harry ...." Started to say Hermione but was abruptly stopped by the look that Harry gave her.
"No Hermione not this time. This time please just let me do it my way."
"Of course Harry I always..."
"You're doing it again ..."
"I..."
"Hush Hermione" whispered Ron seeing the start of an argument, one he had started many times himself.
"Thanks Ron. Well there are several things that I want to tell, need to tell you. The pair of you probably have many questions but I ask please let me say my piece first."
The two of them quickly nodded. Hermione noticed that Harry was acting more grown up that she had ever seen.
"You might have read about what happened after my birthday, what I need to tell you is exactly what happened and for you to understand."
"We understand mate. The git tried to attack you again and..."
A hand on Ron's arm as well as the shaking head stopped him talking.
"No Ron your wrong let Harry..."
"Thanks. Your right Hermione this was different the paper mentioned the attack but they didn't know, no one knows, the real reason. The attacks were planned for my benefit it was a message and ...and a warning."
"So what was the message?" asked Ron
"Join or die."
"Was that all." Laughed Ron.
"Ron you really don't understand, three people were killed to show me what would happen."
"Yeah but..."
"Listen Ron they weren't just killed they were...were...." Harry started.
"It's alright Harry..."
"NO! I've got to tell you, you have to know. Those three were treated the same way he would treat you. This is not some game that we are playing its real life."
"I never thought that Harry." Quickly replied Ron.
Harry took a deep breath to calm himself before he continued.
"Both of you have to consider what could happen. You are my friends and I think that you will always be but you must understand that now you have to make a choice. You made the choice to become my friends and now I feel its right that you choose again. If you continue as we are it could be bad for you. I ...I would not feel it right if I didn't give you the chance."
"Oh come on Harry were are your friends!" replied Ron.
"Yes so are Neville and Shamus, and the rest but it wasn't them he threatened. It wasn't them he tortured it was you two. As I said, we can and will be friends, but you don't have to walk my path."
"Nor do you." Whispered Hermione.
Harry smiled at that comment.
"Unfortunately I do."
"You don't Harry, you can walk away."
Harry hung his head could he really walk away?
"No I can't but you have to listen and then decide. Voldemort is...evil. Its really is the only word that I can think of. He started with you Ron to show me what he can do, what he would do to you or anybody that follows me. Remember Moody's lessons with the spiders this was different this was real. I can't fully explain it but it's different. Not once did he use the unforgivables, he showed me what he could do without them. You were pinned against a wall as he played Quidditch with you, over and over he conjured balls to attack you. You screamed and pleaded but there was nothing you could do except feel the pain."
Harry looked directly at Ron to make sure he understood.
"He then crushed your hand slowly enjoying it with no mercy, can you understand that? He set fire to you and revelled in the smell of your burning flesh. That's what he's like that's what he will do to you and more. It's your life you are now betting Ron not some game or detention but your life and it won't end easily he showed me that."
"I knew that mate."
"You may have, but I still want you to think about it."
"I know what he did to me." whispered Hermione not wanting Harry to relive that as well.
"You only know some. He offered me you."
"What?"
"He...he...thought you were my girlfriend. He offered me you, said that I could have you that you would be mine. I could do anything to you, with you he would make it safe, make you mine alone."
Harry saw Ron's eyes harden slightly as this was said.
"But I said no. So he gave you to them, his followers. They...they..." but Harry could speak no more of it.
"I know, I can imagine. It's alright you don't have to tell us this, we now understand don't we Ron."
"Yeah mate I do honestly."
"Don't do this to yourselves, it's...I'm... not worth it."
Hermione launched herself for the sofa and enveloped Harry in a hug.
"Of course it is. Your worth every knut of it stop talking like this we are staying with you, you can't push us away."
Harry felt the tears in his eyes and felt the explosion of his emotions flow out of him.
"I'm sorry ...so sorry...but I couldn't stop him...I never...I never thought..." he cried morning for the three people he had watched die for him.
**
Ginny and Gabrielle were sitting I their bedroom talking about the happening last night when Gabrielle instantly stopped talking and closed her eyes. Rushing straight towards Harry she felt his dome crack. Fearing that it was another attach she readied what magic she had to try and defend him before realising that Harry was not under attack from outside but it was from within. The emotions started to flow down the link towards her and she felt the sorrow and the pain. Understanding she had to protect the others she danced across Harry and shored his defences. Almost as quickly as it had started she felt him regain control of himself.
Cautiously opening her eyes she looked at Ginny.
"I felt something." Ginny said.
"Yes it was Harry, I helped him. He's upset about those three people that died that night."
"How did you help?"
"Like last time I helped him shore up his defences."
"You will have to teach me so that I can help as well."
"I don't know if you can. I can sense emotions feel them in a room that allows me to help Harry...I...I don't think that you can do that."
"But you said you'll teach me."
"I will but you are different than me so I don't know how all of this will affect you."
"But you will teach me?" pleaded Ginny
"Of course, I was hoping to start today with Harry."
Ginny beamed a bright smile, was today the first day that she would really connect with Harry. After last night it would be the perfect beginning.
"You said you can sense emotions."
"Yes strong ones mainly. Fleur can do the same it's not something we discuss openly, people would...would treat us differently."
"What am I feeling then?"
Gabrielle smiled before closing her eyes it didn't take any great power to tell her what the girl was feeling but she closed her eyes and concentrated nevertheless. Opening her eyes she looked at Ginny.
"You feel happy to be with Harry and are excited at what I am going to teach you. You also feel a little scared about being Harry's girlfriend and if you are good enough oh and your worried what you mother is going to say to you."
"Wow!"
"See that's what I can do with you and what allows me to help Harry with his emotions. Now enough about me tell me what happened after you dragged Harry to the drawing room."
"Well....."
***
"There's more you are not telling us Harry?" questioned Hermione as she retook her seat. Hearing the details of "her" attack was not as bad as she had feared but she could see that Harry had a lot more to say.
"So...so...your..." stammered Harry wanting the answer.
Ron smiled a huge smile at both Hermione and Harry before answering.
"Who's the prat now? Of course we are staying with you there was never any question."
"But..."
Hermione smiled as well before she answered.
"Don't you think we spoke about this ourselves. When we read the paper it was obvious what had happened and that you would act like this. It was just a shame that you couldn't have let us speak to you before you left the burrows."
"I...um..."
"You don't have to apologise mate. So why are you here and what's been happening?"
Harry sat back in the chair and relaxed into the moment the simple words from the Ron had hit him deeply he was truly a prat, and it felt wonderful to be one.
"OK then you know about Susan and the rescue."
"Yes but how did you find her." Queried Hermione instantly wondering if now she would get the answers that she craved for.
"I...um...used a new form of magic." Something was holding him back from telling the pair about what he could do.
"What new magic."
"Dumbledore told me when we got back from the Ministry that I've got something that Voldemort does not."
"Yeah us!" boasted Ron trying to lighten the atmosphere.
"Shut up Ron!" spat Hermione leaning forward to listen to Harry.
"I'm trying to develop this magic now with the help of...."
"Gabrielle!" chimed Hermione
"Yes her and others."
"Who." She asked
"But I don't want to say much, not just now."
"Why?"
"There are more important things."
"Like what!" demanded Hermione seeing the answer to her riddle going away.
"The prophecy."
"What prophecy?"
"The one at the Ministry, the Death Eaters wanted."
"What's that got to do with it?" asked Ron.
"Everything unfortunately."
Harry waited a moment before he spoke.
"It was a prophecy about me and him. It foretold who would defeat him."
"It's a shame it was broken then." Said Ron.
Hermione batted his arm gently at the insensitiveness of his comment. Couldn't Ron see that it had to be Harry.
"Yes it was broken but the person who it was foretold too still knows the full content."
"Who's that?"
"Dumbledore."
"Dumbledore!" the pair of them chimed in response.
"Yes it was given one night he was...interviewing someone and it was foretold then."
"What did it say?" asked Hermione before Ron could side track Harry again.
Harry swallowed once and told them the prophecy , once he was finished the two looked in silence at each other before looking back at Harry.
"So that..."
"Yes I've got to kill him and I think he knows. I'm not completely sure but he knows the first two lines at least, and probably suspects the rest."
"That means that the other night."
"Yes it was a simple message join or watch your friends then yourself die."
The three of them sat in silence absorbed at what had been said. It was a long time before any of them spoke.
"Do you know how..." started Ron as he looked up at Harry.
"No...not yet, I'm hoping to learn."
"Is that what ..." said Hermione.
"No they don't know...yet."
"Are you going to tell them?" asked Ron suddenly fearing for his sister.
"I have to."
"Why."
"Because they deserve the same choice as you."
"Oh..." replied Ron suitably embarrassed.
"Tell me about the rest?" said Hermione trying to break the awkward moment.
"The rest...oh the House. It's mine Sirius left it to me."
"Cool." Said Ron.
"It is a little but I've got too look after it."
"What do you mean mate?"
Hermione replied before Harry had a chance to. "Well it's obvious Ron. The wards have failed or are failing that's why the walls look so bad. Harry has to repair them."
"How?"
"With magic of course."
"But I don't know how too, yet. Hermione I'm going to need some help I think."
"Of course I know just the book it just that they...."
"Check the library Sirius said that it contained what I needed. I found one book but there are others."
"You have a library that wicked what else does this house have?"
"I don't know Dobby hasn't shown me about yet."
Harry realised that he had used the wrong word. At the mention of the house elf's name Hermione huffed and folded her arms.
"I'm paying him honestly."
"But he should be free."
"Yes but he didn't want it, I need him it was the only way."
"But slavery Harry. You having control over another being it's wrong."
"It may be but he's happy like this. I don't want to control him its just the only way."
Hermione still had her arms folded looking crossly at Harry before she realised what Harry had said.
"How can you own a House elf your too young."
"I ...um..." stammered Harry.
"What happened Harry." Demanded Hermione.
"They made me Head of House early."
"They did what!"
"I didn't know about it honestly but it's only just happened that's why I've got the house and everything." Harry defended himself.
"What's all this Head of House stuff?" asked Ron.
"I don't know much but it's something from the past, but there are a number of old laws that still are in force because of them."
"Like what?"
"Like owning people Ron, weren't you listening."
"Sorry."
"Is that all Harry?"
"I think so."
"What should we do now?" asked Ron.
"I've got to talk to the others."
"That's alright Ron and I will start in the library."
"Do we have too?" Moaned Ron.
"Yes Ronald, Harry has to learn to protect this house so come on." Called Hermione jumping to her feet.
Harry knew that as soon as he mentioned that he had a library that it would take a herd of stampeding wild hippogriffs to stop her from reading all of the books.
"The library is just across from the hall but it hasn't been cleaned yet" said Harry.
Hermione smiled and continued to pull Ron that way.
**
Harry waited for the sounds of his friends footsteps to fade away before he got up and started his trek. His emotions were still rolling within him as he thought of his friends reactions but now he had to speak to at least one other. For whatever reason he was starting to feel more and more towards Ginny, the previous night had shown him much about not only Ginny but himself. After speaking to Ron and Hermione he now felt that he had to tell her. She was at the Ministry and knew a little of the prophecy anyway but she deserved the full information.
As he walked the stairs thinking about Ginny his mind also started to wander towards Gabrielle. She was a young girl, no young woman he admonished himself. Her actions could only be classed as those of an adult, she may look like a girl but she was far from it. Yet should he tell her? Could he trust her with this knowledge, knowledge that Voldemort would kill for, and already has.
Pausing in front of Ginny bedroom door he raised his hand to knock. He didn't know if she was still staying in the same room as last time but his insides were churning away, he was about to enter a girls bedroom and a girl he was beginning to have not so pure thoughts about. Bracing himself he knocked once and waited, barely a heartbeat had passed when he heard from inside.
"Come in Harry."
Pushing the door slowly open he looked in tentatively and slowly walked in. Ginny and Gabrielle were both sitting on the floor leaning against one of the beds. The room to Harry was full of light and felt spacious a faint smell had wafted into his nostrils as he had entered. His eyes fixed on the pair and he started to fear what he was doing, he was now definitely within the girls realm.
As soon as Harry was within the room Ginny leapt to her feet and closed the distance between them. Harry was taken aback at what he was supposed to be doing with the approaching Ginny but the girl never gave him a chance. She flung he arms around his neck and pulled him down catching his lips with a brief kiss before stepping back.
"See it went alright." Said Ginny as she moved slightly back. That brief contact with Harry had caused magic or something more to race through her and make her feel good.
""I...um..." stammered Harry realising that he had just been kissed in front of Gabrielle who was just sitting in the same position but with a bright smile lighting up not only her face but her whole body.
"It's alright Harry, Gabrielle knows everything."
"Everything?" he managed to question.
"Yes she's been a great help for me, you, us."
Harry did not understand what Ginny was saying yet he could feel something inside of him stir as he looked at both of the girls it was almost like his magic was purring with him, content to look at the two of them.
"So as I said it would go fine when you spoke to them."
Harry resisted the urge to shake his head as his feelings continued but replied.
"How did you know?"
Ginny shook her head before grabbing Harry's arm. She clamped it to her and led him towards Gabrielle.
"Sometimes he can be a little slow, a bit like my brother." Said Ginny towards Gabrielle who was still smiling.
"What?" asked Harry trying to free his arm and failing all he managed to do was to rub it up and down Ginny's front.
Ginny pulled Harry down next to her wishing that his arms would continue it's movement as it was sending shivers though her.
"Gabrielle, Harry. Gabrielle knew how you were."
Harry tried to ignore his arm for the moment at looked directly at Gabrielle.
"But I didn't feel you."
"No." replied Gabrielle still looking directly at Harry. Seeing him there next to Ginny was not painful to her. In fact she was feeling the joy of the pair. She had feared that when she saw them that she might react badly but seeing them together all she felt was happiness, whether it was from them, her link or just herself she didn't care.
"Then how did."
"I would have felt your sorrow. No matter how much you tried to protect us I would have felt that."
"Oh."
Ginny suppressed the laughter bubbling up within her at Harry's antics. As soon as he had walked into the room she had seen him change, he was behaving just like a nervous boy.
"So why have you come to visit little old me?" smiled Ginny. She couldn't resist a little teasing of Harry, he was here in her room and they were almost alone.
"I um...wanted..."
Ginny burst into laughter and captured Harry's lips once more. She let this kiss deepen. She didn't want to upset Gabrielle by doing this in front of her, she wanted to show Harry that Gabrielle truly did know everything. She felt Harry reluctance so didn't force it and slowly pulled back.
"Now Harry what is it you wanted."
Harry could still taste Ginny's lips on his. His heart was racing fast, kissing Ginny was good but should he be doing it here and in front of Gabrielle.
"I wanted to talk to you about..." He looked at Gabrielle and stopped he really should be speaking about this with her here and so turned his head to look directly and Ginny.
"We need to..."
But stopped as Ginny shock her head at him.
"No Harry tell us both, we are together with you. She has to know as well."
"But ..."
"Harry it would help if I knew. I'll go if I must but if you tell me I can help as well. I came here, all the way from France to help you, to be with you, no matter the cost." Said Gabrielle.
The kind way the Gabrielle had spoken pierced Harry through the chest, and he knew that he could not exclude her.
"Alright then, how much do you know about the other night?"
"Most of it, I could feel it and so could Ginny." Quietly replied Gabrielle.
"It was a message. Join me or you and your friends would ..."
"We know Harry."
Harry smiled at these words as they were the same that Hermione had just used.
"No you don't..." but Harry stopped. Gabrielle had turned he head slightly so that she was looking directly at him his eyes were focused on the china blue irises of Gabrielle's eyes he thought her face softened as he stared but the eyes seemed huge. His magic responded to the face instantly he felt himself slip into those eyes.
"Harry I, we, really do understand we may not have been there but we felt it within you."
"Within me?" Harry chimed.
"Yes when we helped you we felt your pain sensed the damage and understood what caused it. The paper was just words we felt what he had done to you what he could do to any of us."
Harry continued to look into her face, his will his resistance had long since disappeared. He could feel that every word that Gabrielle was saying was true. Eventually he turned his face away.
"How long have..."
"Me? since that night Ginny?"
"Yesterday when we..."
"But you last night..." blurted Harry not understanding why Ginny had done and said those things last night if she knew.
"We want to help you and we still want to be with you, both me and Gabrielle." said Ginny.
"Both of you?" questioned Harry.
"Yes Harry, both of us. Now what else did you want to tell me."
Harry tried to understand everything what was being said to him. The longer he sat there next to Ginny the safer he felt, the room was feeling like home to him.
Anyone observing from the outside would have been able to see it but those within the room could not, they were caught up with it. The observer would have seen the literal magic dancing between the three of them, it was like every minute that they were together their magic would intertwine even more with each other. The room literally glowed with the power that was emanating from them.
"You know why they were there at the Ministry."
"What the Death Eaters, it was for that ball, a prophecy."
"Yes."
"They said it was about you and...him."
"Yes."
"But didn't it break."
"It did but Dumbledore knew what it contained."
As he mentioned the word Dumbledore he felt the emotions in the room change. He didn't know how he knew this he just did. His eyes immediately found the source of the new emotions and studied the down turned faced of Gabrielle.
"What's the matter?" questioned Harry, he felt Ginny stir slightly next to him as well. Ginny had felt something strange she wasn't sure but Harry's action told her that it was to do with Gabrielle.
Gabrielle then finally understood, that it was happening. Her books, her reading and her research had said that this was the greatest fear of this new power, this power residing within Harry. Faced with it now she understood that every single one of those books was wrong this wasn't something to fear this was joy.
She was slightly scared at answering the question. Talking to Ginny she had learnt of the close bond between the headmaster and Harry and was frightened that he would have yet more reason to reject her if she spoke. But now with Harry sensing her emotions and those of the room she could not hide it anymore.
"I...I..." she stammered.
"Don't worry Gabrielle, everything will be fine." Said Ginny seeing and almost feeling the girls distress herself.
"I don't trust him."
"Why not?" asked Harry with a slight hardness in his voice.
"Its...its...just a feeling. When I'm near him I can feel his hostility towards me, it's like I'm a threat to him. He hide's a lot, not just from you but from everybody, it ... upsets me." finished Gabrielle searching for the right words but not really finding it.
"He's a great ..." Replied Harry but stopped himself. Throughout the summer he had started to question much about himself, his life, school everything. He had asked Remus to be present when he had gone to the solicitor. Was he himself beginning to suspect that Dumbledore was not the person he first thought?
Ginny felt Harry stiffen slightly as he stopped talking and so looked closely at his face. The lines of worry that she had not seen all summer were back again on his forehead. She opened her mouth to say something but waited instead.
"It's complicated I think." Eventually said Harry still thinking.
As silence descended Ginny nudged Harry to bring his mind back towards the present.
"Dumbledore knew what the prophecy was. It was made to him and it did indeed concern me and ....Voldemort."
"What did it say?" asked Ginny
Harry once more related the prophecy and waited for the reaction.
Ginny leaned into him a little more and gave his cheek a small peck.
"Wasn't it always going to be this way?" she said quietly.
Harry slowly nodded and dropped his head in thought.
"You can do it Harry, I know you can. You're the only one who he can't beat. That's why he did that on your birthday, he knows that he can't win as long as you're here, he's desperate. Your going to beat him, and I'm going to be right beside you when you do it." Ginny said wrapping her arms around him in a fierce hug. She kissed him gently below the ear, again on his jaw, and pulled him down for one long lingering kiss on the lips. Pulled back and look directly into his eyes.
Harry stared hard into those warm chocolate eyes, he saw truth, determination, and love. In all his life, he never had anyone look at him like that. He knew that she believed what she spoke, it was a fact, she thought he would win, that he could do this. He nodded to her and she released him.
Ginny giggled softly to brighten the atmosphere.
"Well now you've told us let's get on with doing something else."
"What did you have in mind." Asked Gabrielle hiding a smirk.
Ginny blushed slightly at the double meaning in those words.
"Well I thought that you could start to teach me and Harry's missed a few lessons."
"Harry?"
Harry looked up.
"Yeah I've missed the lessons."
Ginny smiled before replying.
"Good and afterwards you can tell me what you getting us for our birthdays."
"What?"
Ginny pouted slightly.
"Have you forgotten so quickly? I'm your girlfriend that means you have to buy me a birthday present."
"But I..."
Ginny smiled at Harry distress.
"It's alright Harry. You can take the pair of us shopping as a present. Gabrielle's birthday is the 2nd of September and I know she could do with your help. You can think of it as a thank you to her if you like."
"Cow!" shouted Gabrielle at Ginny comment.
Ginny laughed and reached behind her for the pillow which she threw at Gabrielle. The pair of them dissolved into laughter to a clearly mystified Harry.

Harry towelled off as he stepped out of the shower. He looked round his the bathroom the decor made him fell sick but he was beginning to enjoy having his own private bathroom.
