Days have past since Saul was freed from his imprisonment. He's been sleeping in an old semi burned down house. It was old, and bits of roof kept falling down, but at least it was some kind of shelter. At least he never felt alone. He's actually grown more and more attached to this being withing him. It would speak sometimes and he would listen. It would hum for glee sometimes, and he'd feel right at ease. When he would feel down, it would sing something, just to perk him up again.

One night, Saul couldn't get to sleep. He laid there, on the soiled matress and think of all the many others they've left behind. "Umm... excuse me..." He said to the surrounding darkness. "Yes master."He never really liked it when the voice referred to him as 'master'. "What will happen to the others. The ones like us. Will... will they be okay?" Silence flooded through the room and Saul looked down. He knew all too well what silence meant. "I'm afraid it was too late for them. They were all much to sick. Even if they made it out with us, they wouldn't have lasted that long." There was another short pause. "I see." He closed his eyes, he felt like he was about to cry. "Now now, don't cry. Just sleep. We'll look around some more tomorrow." It hushed him, but he couldn't sleep. It started singing the most beautiful lullabye.
"Snow is falling like glee, From a sky so cold and grey,
Lord I'm still missing you, And you're so far away."
Saul felt hot tears run down his face, but he was relaxing into this melody.
"And I whisper to the sky, I love you. And I wonder if she hears,
Lord when the snow falls, Is that my angel's tears."
Slowy, Saul fell into a deep sleep. "Slep tight my angel." It whispered, before silencing itself and settling into the back of his mind.

The morning came quickly. Saul was wide awake, more or less. He sat up, and waited, and waited... and waited... "Hey!" He shouted at the nothingness around him. "hmm..." He heard softly from nowhere. "C'mon. You're the one who told me to be up by eight!" He called. "I didn't think you actually be up!" It called back. Well, I am. C'mon, I need to know more about you." He sounded only slightly excited by this whole thing. It sniffed. "Okay, I'm up. What do you want to know." Saul had a whole line of questions to throw at this thing, one after another, but he stopped. He closed his mouth and thought for a moment. He actually really heard the voice clearly for the first time. 'Why didn't I notice this sooner?' He thought to himself. "Hmm? Well, what is it?" it asked, a little irritated from being woken up for nothing. "Your voice. It sounds female." He pointed out. there was an awkward silence, and Saul spoke again. "I mean, you are a girl, right?" The silence seemed to get thicker. More strained amongst the two of them. "Yeah. I'm a girl." It sounded a little sarcastic. "Well, no. I mean. Do you have a name?" He thought that was a good question. He heard a snicker, and it spoke again. "Yes, I have a name. It's-" She stopped. The answer lingering on her lips but not really coming out. "It's..." It thought long and hard. It just couldn't come up with anything. It sighed in defeat. "You don't remember your name." Saul asked it sadly. Now he felt really bad. She was about to scream in defence, but decided against it. "No." She whispered sadly. "I'm afraid with all this time locked away int you, I've forgotten my real name." Saul looked at the charred floor. He felt really bad now. This young girl was sad, and it was all his fault. "Can I name you? He asked shyly. "Hm? You'd do that?" She asked, a little happier. Saul nodded. now he just needed a name. He thought, for a few moments. "Hmm. How about, Jessi?" He announced. He braced himself for a sharp burning pain that seemed to come around this time. She said she did it because he had said something stupid. She must've been thinking about it, because the pain never came. "I like it. I like it quite a bit" She giggled. "Jessi, and Saul! Oh. I don't quite like that now." Saul stared off, confused. "What do you mean" "Well," She started. "We'll have to change your name anyway. Does Slash sound good for now?" She asked. "Slash?" He asked. "Why's that?" "That's not improtant. Slash and Jessi! Now that's more like it!" Okay, get dressed and let's go!"

Slash walked down the street. Trying to get used to this new name of his. Slash. Seemed kind of silly. Oh well. He had more important things on his mind. Like a ten year old dead girl. "There!" It yelled. "Go in there! I need to see what they got." So Slash walked up to the building Jessi was talking about. It was a large steel building. It looked cold and deadly. Almost like the place they'd escaped from. He swallowed a lump in his throat and went inside. He looked around. It seemed like everything was made from a cold steel. A young lady with short hair came up to him. "Hello young man. Can I help you?" 'Let me do the talking.' Jessi said. In a flash, she had Slash talking against his own will. "Yes you may, ma'am. I'd like to look through your corpses." The lady looked a little shocked. "Let me explain. My dear sister went missing three years ago. Everybody has givin up hope, so I've come here to see if her body was being observed here." She was good. She even has Slash in fake tears. The young woman felt pity swell up inside her. "Please, it's okay. I'll let you look around. Through this door, follow me." She said and lead them through two larg metal doors. Hourse later Jessi stopped at a particular body. A slender female body. She must've been no older than 14 when she died. Slash looked it over and felt like puking, but Jessi wouldn't let this happen. 'She died so young.' Slash heard her whispering to herself. 'I wish they'd give her a second chance instead of me.' "What do you mean?" Slash whispered to himself. 'Nothing.' "Excuse me." Slash called for the doctor to come to him. "What happened to her?" The doctor looked down at the soft pale figures. She sighed. "She lived in an abusive home. She was beaten so badly. One night, she just gave up, and she died in her sleep. It was Jessi's turn to feel like throwing up. Slash closed his eyes to keep from crying. "I see."

In a flash, Slash didn't even see, the doctor was down on the bleach white floor, unconsious. "What'd you do?" Slash yelled. 'Shut up! Jessi yelled back. 'Grab the body and lets go!' Slash just stood there shaking. He was still trying to comprihend what just happened, and now he was going to carry around a dead body. 'DO IT!' It demanded. Slash closed his eyes, grabbed the body, and climbed out the window. He ran into an alley way and set the blanket wrapped corps down. He couldn't help it then, he turned away and emptied the biled from his stomach. When he was done, he turned back and panted. "What now?" 'Now,' She said. 'I need you to sleep.' "Wait! What? No. I--" But it was too late. Slash was already back in that red room, with the purple warmth.

Slash woke up. He didn't know how long he's been out. He opens his eyes and sees a young girl kneeling next to him. "Uhh..." He mumbles, but a slender finger comes to rest on his lips. He looked up and saw a young girl, no more than 13. Black hair framing her snow white face. Bright green eyes peering through the long bangs. Those eyes. They looked so soft. So gentle. He could stare at them forever. "Well." The young girl said. "What do you think?" Her voice was so smooth. "You're beautiful." He said shyly. She giggled and sat back on her heels. "Glad you think so." "Who are you?" Slash couldn't help but ask. The girl furrowed her brow in a frown and playfully pouted. "It's me." She answered. "Jessi!"
