Chapter 35:- Sorting the Problem A/N:- Malehorntaildragon did his normal work on this chapter, thanks!
***
“First Years this way.” Boomed Hagrid’s voice at the end of the platform, a small pool of light from his lantern illuminating his giant frame.
Harry glanced along the length of the platform and saw a few students make their way towards the half-giant. He looked at Gabrielle who was still standing next to him. He reached up felt his nose and the remnants of the dried blood on his face before saying anything.
The return to his compartment had been embarrassing to say the least but the looks that both Ginny and Gabrielle continually gave him concerned him more. When Ginny and the rest had arrived he had had to stop her from marching off to hex Draco. His insides where telling him that Ginny would suffer a worse fate if she did. There had been something about Draco that was different. Never had Harry feared fighting Draco but something about what he had done touched him deep down. So violently shaking his head he had managed to stop Ginny, but the look from Gabrielle had been different, he could see that she blamed herself completely for what had happened but Harry didn’t know what he could do. He didn’t blame her but he saw the looks that both Ron and Hermione were flashing her told him that he was the only one that thought so.
Once they had made it back Hermione had done her best to fix him. She had easily managed to remove most of the dried blood but the nose and loss of voice was beyond what she could do. As the train slowed Harry did start to find that his voice was coming back but he still could only barely croak hoarsely. The dark train station managed to hide Harry very well as he and the rest climbed out of the train but people still looked and whispered in his general direction and if they saw him and his nose it would only cause more comments.
“Come on now first years” shouted the voice once more.
Harry bent low towards Gabrielle and could see that she didn’t want to go. The frightened look was back and he could almost feel her reach out and touch him, Ginny slipped her hand into his and leaned close as well.
“Go on Gabrielle it’ll be fine.”
“But...but Harry?” She asked with emotion.
“I’ll make sure he sees the nurse you have to go.” Said Ginny
Gabrielle glanced at the half-giant at the end of the platform but still didn’t want to leave.
“I’ll look after your rabbit.” said Ginny holding out her hand.
Gabrielle slowly gave her the cage before turning to leave. Harry stood and watched but as Gabrielle turned he felt her hand brush across his and Ginny’s joined hands. Then with a slight run she was off down the platform and soon lost to sight.
Both Harry and Ginny felt a sudden loss within themselves as Gabrielle dashed off. It was like as small part was leaving them and involuntary they both shivered slightly.
“Come on you two or all of the carriages will be taken.” Called Ron moving towards the exit.
Harry looked at Ginny and gave her a quick kiss on her cheek, the darkness of the platform and the small number of students would make sure they weren’t seen. He didn’t know why he did it it just felt the right thing to do at that moment. In silence they lifted their things and headed for the waiting carriage.
The trip to Hogwarts was started in silence. Luna had saved them one of the large carriages and so they all climbed into it. As it bumped and rocked on its way to the castle Harry felt Ginny next to him. It was thought every time the carriage moved she got even closer to him.
“You will go and see Madam Pomfry as soon as we get there?” Asked Ginny very quietly.
Harry looked at Ginny and for the first time saw the concern on her face. He felt his heart lurch slightly when looking into her face. He could not remember her ever asking or acting like this in the past, but suddenly he thought he knew what it was like to be cared for. To try and keep his emotions from showing he looked around the grounds as the approached the main entrance. He saw that things had changed from the last time. He wasn’t sure but it looked like there was the odd person walking in the darkness obviously patrolling the area but it was more than that it just looked /different/.
As he passed the main gates he got the sudden feeling of safety. He was getting to understand that it was his new magic sensing the wards but this was stronger than he had ever felt before. He closed his eyes and centered himself before briefly looking. As his eyes opened he felt his mouth drop open at the wonderment of what he saw.
The whole area around the castle was covered with a dome, but this one didn’t look like any he had seen before. It looked thick and strong and it obscured what was outside it but that was nothing compared to the colours. All across the surface Harry saw dancing colours as they swirled around. Each streak of colour flew at its own pace sometimes colliding with another and the two would dance around each other for a moment before they would separate. He tried to look harder at the dome but found the light show too memorising. He closed his mouth and felt a small smile creep across it, the Twins fireworks display had been good last year but that was nothing to what he could see.
“You ok?” whispered Ginny seeing his face.
“Yes...it’s...amazing.”
“What?”
“The lights everything it is just dancing.” He replied in a quiet yet still croaky voice. Ginny let her head rest on Harry shoulder as she tried to imagine what Harry was seeing. She didn't want to believe that he could see magic but wouldn’t it be cool if you could.
**
Gabrielle followed the enormous figure of Hagrid as he wound he way down the steep path. Everyone had told her about him but actually being this close to him was something different. He had towered over everybody at the station but to the first years he was even larger. She was leading the small group down the stairs in his wake because when she had joined the group they all looked as scared as she felt.
As they descended into the gloomy night she caught glimpses of the other students, she could hear the whispered comments that some of them were already making but understood that this was going to be nothing compared to the reaction of the whole school once they learned of her. She stepped out from the bottom of the steps to see a small collection of wooden boats.
“Come now into the boats.”
Gabrielle looked around and saw the apprehension on everybody’s face. She knew it was tradition for the boats to take the first years to Hogwarts but by the looks of these crafts she wasn’t sure that they would survive. They all stood and waited until one of the group stepped forward and climbed into a boat. Everybody held their breath as they saw it rock gently.
“That’s right. Now come on two to a boat please.”
Gabrielle watched the rest start to climb into the waiting craft and so picked out a near one and carefully stepped into it. The boat rocked but nothing more happened so she lowered herself to the seat but still held the sides trying to steady her fears. She couldn’t remember her time in the lake during the tournament but she knew that she had been frightened and this night she didn’t want to fall in.
A girl climbed in next to her and looked her over before sitting down. Gabrielle tried to avoid the girl’s eyes but they seemed to bore into her.
“I’m Caroline, Caroline Gillmore.”
“Gabrielle.”
“Please to meet you.”
Gabrielle nodded but still held tight for the boat had started to move forward. She looked around and saw that the other boats had similarly started their trip across the lake. The headland which was obscuring the castle would soon disappear and they would all get there first glimpse.
As the boats rounded the headland Gabrielle could here the collective gasps from the students. The castle was illuminated by the lights from it’s windows as well as the streaming moonlight. Gabrielle had seen the castle before but never like it made her breath catch in her mouth.
“Amazing.” Breathed the other girl in the boat.
“Yes it is.” Gabrielle quietly replied.
Each of the boats made steady progress towards the far bank below the castle. The near that they got the easier it was for them to make out individual features. Gabrielle could not remember it being so big but she mused that she didn't pay much attention to it last time. As the boats stopped each student carefully got out but each was muttering their own words as the majesty of Hogwarts was still with them.
Holding his lantern high once more Hagrid set off to the entrance, this time the path was much narrower and the first years found themselves in a single line following the giant. Gabrielle waited until near the back yet even this wasn’t far enough each step she took she could feel the emotions stronger and stronger emanating from the school, all she wanted now was to get close to Harry and let his magic calm her once more.
***
Harry and rest climbed out of their carriage and into the main hall. The noise felt just like home to each of them and students dashed towards the Grand Hall still talking and chattering away. Harry glanced round and saw that there were a number of teachers watching from the second floor. Normally the students would be left alone but this time they were being watched or guarded.
Harry felt his nose once more and once more the red hot pain shot up his face, but he didn’t really want to see Madam Pomfry so soon after the summer but got no choice as Ginny grabbed his hand and almost dragged him up one of the stairs.
“Where are you going?” asked the stern voice of Professor McGonagall.
“Harry needs to see the Nurse.”
The Head of Gryffindor House approached closer before saying anything else. Harry felt the blush rise in his cheeks as he stood still with Ginny holding his hand.
“What’s the problem Mr Potter?”
Harry opened his mouth but Ginny replied for him.
“His nose needs seeing to and something’s happened to his voice.”
“Explain what happened?”
Harry quickly glanced at Ginny hoping that she would not tell the whole story.
“Um...well...we really don't know...it...um...started just before we left...um...” stammered Ginny seeing Harry’s look and not being prepared to lie.
“Miss Weasley you should really come up with a better excuse than that. What happened on the train? For I know he was fine when he got on it.”
“Please...” crooked Harry
Minerva shook her head slowly at the Harry before nodding.
“Ok hurry now.”
“Thanks Prof-.” Replied Ginny but she got no further.
“I’m sure Mr Potter knows the way Miss Weasley. You need to go to the feast.”
“But...but...”
“/Now/ Miss Weasley.”
Ginny looked imploringly at Harry but he just nodded. McGonagall might let him off but never the pair of them. She smiled at Harry and bent to give him a quick kiss but then suddenly remembered where she was. She instead gave his hand a hard squeeze before she turned and skipped down the stairs and across the now emptying hall.
Harry watched her go all the way before he started the long trek to the hospital wing. With the silent and empty corridors Harry made good time yet each step he took he felt that he was being watched. A couple of times he was sure that the paintings were following him. As he approached the large door he paused for a moment before slowly pushing them open. Standing at the end of the bends was Madam Pomfry obviously waiting for him.
“Come now Mr Potter you haven’t got all night.” She commented beckoning him forward.
Harry slowly walked the length of the room; he glanced over to the bed that he was normally given every time he was here and suddenly wondered how long it would be before he would be a resident here again.
Madam Pomfry looked Harry over as he approached. The last time she had seen him he was thin and an emotional wreck. She had been worried through the whole of the summer at not seeing “her charge” yet Dumbledore insisted that he was fine. Now looking at Harry she could see that the headmaster was right. What had happened to Harry over the past few weeks had definitely changed him he looked healthier and happier than she could ever remember.
As he sat in the offered chair Poppy could see one of the reasons that he was here. It wasn’t unusual for students to get into problems on the train but this looked different, this looks like it didn't come from magic.
“So I see your nose anything else?” she asked as she drew her wand out.
“My...my...throat.” crocked Harry.
The wheezing noise startled Poppy for a moment but she went ahead and mended the nose first.
“Espiski.” And a blue light enveloped Harry nose. He felt the nose move back to its right position and a warm feeling wash across his face. He raised his hand and gently felt his nose and was pleased to find that it felt normal to him, as the warm feeling dissipated the pain started to return but nowhere near as bad as it had done.
“You will still feel it for a little while but the pain will go now let’s look at the throat.”
Poppy cast a second spell this time but Harry failed to hear what it was, he saw her wand twitch and vibrate as it was passed over his face.
“What happened?” the nurse quietly asked.
“I...um...don’t know....” he wheezed once more.
“Come now Mr Potter was it a spell or potion?”
Harry didn't want to answer fearing the consequences.
“Mr Potter...Harry, you should know by now what you tell me won’t go any further. It’s between us tell me I will make my diagnosis easier.”
“Spell.”
Poppy waved her wand once more and studied the reaction again, she shook her head at what she was seeing and tried once more. The result was the same a she felt a small pit of worry start within her. She had just promised Harry that she would not say anything but rightly she shouldn’t keep quiet about this. She had cured such curses before, a long time ago in fact, but hadn’t done so for almost sixteen years. Raising her wand she sent the counter curse at Harry’s neck, she saw Harry shudder slightly as its effects hit him. She understood that it was painful but the way he sat there silent told her more.
“Better?”
“Yes I think so.” Replied Harry in a much stronger voice.
“That was a powerful curse...you want to tell me more?”
Harry shook his head again.
“Very well but be careful. That spell hasn’t been seen for years you should tell someone about it.”
“But you said...”
“I won’t but you should, they should know....”
“I’m fine....”
“No you’re not, I know what that did to you. You are lucky that I’ve seen it before if you hadn’t been treated soon it could have been permanent or at the very least much more painful to cure, all I’m saying is that the Headmaster should be told.”
“I’ll think about.” Promised Harry knowing he was never going to tell Dumbledore how Draco had defeated him.
Poppy smiled at Harry’s reply easily seeing through the lie but there was nothing more she could do.
“Well hurry along Mr Potter, the feast hasn’t started yet.”
“Thank you.” Answered Harry rising from his chair and leaving the ward.
**
Harry crossed the Hallway and listened to the noise. The castle was empty and he could hear the sounds coming from the Great Hall. He quickly glanced at the main entrance and saw that unusually the main doors were locked. He continued towards the Great Hall and placed his hand on the door. He really didn’t want to enter on his own, it had been problematic enough on the train with them all talking about him but for them to all look as he took his seat would be too much.
He almost turned away when he heard clapping form the other side. Realising that the hat must have just finished its song Harry pushed open the doors. Quickly glancing around, he saw the collection of first years at the front and the rest of the students muttering and whispering about the hat’s latest song.
Being as unobtrusive as he knew how to he started to make his way towards the Gryffindor table, few took note of him as most were looking towards the front. He waited a moment at the end of the Gryffindor table and looked at the first years. The group was much smaller this year than any of the previous but he could see that they had captured more attention than any other group. Harry glanced around and saw that most of the boy’s were looking at one person; he knew the reason and pitied that poor girl. He could just see her head in the centre but that could not hide her beauty and it looked like everyone had seen her. Taking a chance he dashed down the table and slipped into his seat next to Ron, unusually Ginny was also next to him
“You ok?” she whispered before he could say anything.
“Much better thanks.” He whispered back with none of the croakiness of the past.
“Good I think Gabrielle needs a hand.”
“Why?”
“Don't you see them I think it’s like the Ministry she looks so scared.”
“What about the sorting?”
“Alright but afterwards, please Harry.”
“You’re concerned for her too aren’t you?”
“Of course what about you?”
“I...um...”
“Harry remember what I keep telling you it’s alright, relax around her I won’t get upset.”
“I’ll try.”
“Good now let’s see what happens.”
**
Gabrielle had never had so many people look at her as she entered the Great Hall with the other first years. The emotions that rolled off of them were almost as powerful as what she had felt at the Ministry but that was nothing compared to the looks. She could feel her inner self wanting to react, the Veela within was trying to protect her but she knew that it would cause more problems perhaps even worse.
As she came to a halt at the front she felt some of the eyes move away but she could still feel the looks she was getting. Trying her best to hide she slowly moved until she was within the centre of the group, she just wished Harry was closer but didn’t dare search for him fearing what the loss of concentration could do for her magic.
A faded and patched hat that was placed on a stool in front of them and she waited. As it started to speak in rhyme she glanced behind her to try and find her friends but it was hard to make them out. As soon as the hat had stopped the students responded with polite clapping. Her heart started to race a little knowing what was about to come and then like a sudden caress she felt him with her magic. It was light, it was brief but she could feel him and the calming effect it had on her magic was instantaneous as she turned to the front and waited.
“Ok then when I call your names please come forward and sit upon the stool. Adams, John.” Said McGonagall.
A boy next to Gabrielle moved forward to the front, she could feel his emotions and was a little sorry for him. She watched as the hat was placed upon his head, after the briefest of pauses it shouted.
“Ravenclaw!”
Loud cheering erupted from one of the tables as the boy jumped down and ran for it.
“Delacour, Gabrielle.”
She took a breath before moving forward. As she did so she could hear the comments from the tables. As gracefully as she could she perched on the stool and waited for the hat. She felt the pressure upon her mind as soon as the hat touched her head, it seemed to flash right through her, she instantly tried to form a stronger defence but it just ripped through it.
A small voice sounded in her head, “easy.” Before she heard.
“Slyth....”
“NO!” He mind shouted.
“Why are questioning me. I can see everything I know where you belong.”
“No!”
“You have knowledge, yes great knowledge but only in one area. You are loyal, loyal to the one and to yourself but it is your cunning, and ambition that is the strongest. That is where you belong.”
“NO!”
“You have manipulated and coerced to get what you desire. Yes I can see it all missy, you belong there.”
“No I want Gryffindor.”
“But you aren’t suited; brave you may think you are but, your bravery only comes through your ambition.”
“You can’t tell me where to go. I belong with him, I belong to Gryffindor.”
“Ah what’s this I see now forming?”
“You are wrong hat! You’re the same as Dumbledore! I must be with him!”
“You are standing up to me and the traditions of this school. Clever, loyal...cunning yet still no bravery.”
“No matter what you say I will go to him, I will not be parted now.”
“And yet you aren’t together either, not yet, you haven’t told him everything have you? Hm......Very well but you will see that I’m right and you are wrong.”
“Gryffindor!” Shouted the hat out loud.
The loud cheering indicated the way for her to go yet she didn't hear it, all she sought was the face of the one. Her eyes found him easily and she could see the smile upon his face and that of Ginny sitting next to him. Gracefully she crossed to the table and saw the empty seats for the first years, she wanted to run to Harry and take her normal place next to him but understood for the moment that she could not. So taking her seat she waited for the rest to be sorted, but felt the sudden presence of Harry upon her magic and so closed her eyes and relaxed into it forgetting what the hat had told her.
**
Dumbledore waited for the last student to be sorted. This year was the smallest gathering he could remember, it saddened him to think that parents thought that they could protect their children far better than this school but he could not blame them. Slowly rising to his feet he waited for the small noise to die down before speaking. He looked long and hard down each table before calling out
“Well the year is just starting for us. For some it’s the last...” he looked to the furthest ends of the house tables where the seventh year students normally sat “…For others the first. I ask you all to be safe and learn what you can for you never know what the future will bring. With that said ….Tuck in.”
Harry and rest dived into the now magically filled plates. He wasn’t really hungry but found that in the bowls nearest to him were all of his favourites, as the smells tickled his nose he found that he was unable to resist.
“What did Madam Pomfry say?” hiss Ginny in between mouthfuls, unlike Harry she hadn’t eaten much on the train.
“Oh…nothing she just healed me and said that I should tell Dumbledore.”
“That’s right Harry.” Said Hermione.
“Why…I’ve seen her lot’s of time she never told me to see the headmaster.” Enquired Ginny
“What…when did you see her?” immediately asked Ron.
“Never you mind Ron. So did she give a reason?”
“Um…it was the curse she said that ….”
“What?”
“It was one that she had seen for years and that Dumbledore should be told about it.”
Ginny felt a small lump form, something almost jolted within her at Harry words but she did not know what.
“Are you going to….” Started to say Hermione.
“No I’ll handle it he won’t get me next time.” Replied Harry forcefully looking back at his plate he really didn’t want to talk about it.
The silence lasted a while before anybody dared speak to Harry again.
“It’s good that Gabrielle’s with us.” Said Ginny quietly.
“Yes but I think…”
“What?”
“The Hat, didn’t it seem to you that it changed its mind?”
“No.”
“I just thought it stopped saying Slytherin and changed its mind.”
“Her a Slytherin never.”
“I know.”
“Well she’s a Gryffindor now and well be together.”
“Together?”
“Um…yes like the holidays.”
Harry looked closely at Ginny the way she spoke seemed to tell him that she was lying, shaking off the feeling he returned to the meal in front.
**
Draco stroked Pansy’s leg under the table letting it move higher and higher up her leg but his eyes were focused across the Hall at one of the other tables. He could see Potter sitting with his friends and the blood traitor girl but that was not the only person he was looking at. As his hand continued to move he looked down the length of the Gryffindor table until he could see the back of her head. She was a beauty and she was going to be his all his….
“Owww….careful Draco.” Chirped Pansy as Draco’s hand squeezed her leg rather hard.
“What!”
“You…you pinched me.”
“Oh…sorry.” Replied Draco not thinking and removing his hand.
“I…I…don’t mind just not so hard.”
Draco turned his head to look at Pansey, yes this year was going to be good.
“That’s good because I like doing it.” He purred replacing his hand but now much closer to the hem of her skirt.
Pansy face broke into a smile at the thought of Draco’s words. She had missed him through the summer. He had promised that he would write but he never did. But on the train it was almost like he was back to normal it had been so nice lying with him he had been so caring towards her and she had felt like a dutchess. This year certainly had the potential to be wonderful.
**
Susan looked at the food once more and placed her fork down. She was still hungry but she had to stop now, if she didn’t she would just keep eating. Through the meal she had been looking at Harry and Ginny. She didn’t really resent her but looking at her slim body made her realise her own. If she ever wanted to get closer to Harry she thought she was going to have to compete. Her Aunt had told that it was possible and that she was a lucky girl but Harry looked so happy with Ginny. Why would Harry choose her over Ginny and could she compete against a person she felt was a friend.
She looked around the people next to her and realised even more how much of an outsider she was in her own house. The whole of the train trip that she wasn’t with Harry people had asked her about what happened that night, even during the carriage ride, which she was normally on her own or with a few of the lower years she had been badgered but now during this meal it was back to normal. Everyone was talking and laughing about their summer and poor little Susan was left out again.
**
“I think that signifies the end of the meal.” He called out loudly waving his arms wide. All of the plates vanished and everyone waited expectantly.
“As normal I have a number of announcements. First Mr Filch reminds me that the list of banned objects has been increased this year to include the whole catalogue from Weasleys Wizarding Weazes, making a grand total of 281 items, for those students who wish to see the list in full please see the caretaker.” There was a little laughter at this announcement which quickly died down.
“Some of you may have noticed the extra security around the grounds, this year the school has a detachment of Auror’s for security as well as…a number of other things. I ask you all not to leave your dormitories after dark. If you must leave please travel in pairs.
As what has become a very unfortunate tradition I have a new professor to introduce to you this year. Professor Slughorn will be taking up his previous role of Potions Master this year.”
“Potions Master?” Ran the whisper through the whole of the Great Hall. Almost at once the entire student body looked directly at Professor Snape.
“Never you fear our beloved Professor Snape is not leaving us he will be teaching Defence against the Dark Arts this year.”
Harry’s mind suddenly rebelled at hearing this news. Snape of all people was going to be the Defence Professor. How could Dumbledore do such a thing? Especially to him with Defence being so crucial now the prophecy was known. He wanted to jump up and say something to the Headmaster but then remembered his comments over the summer. So was Snape the reason that Dumbledore was now teaching him? Harry closed his eyes to calm his mind and was a little surprised that he did not sense Gabrielle or Ginny’s presence, after a few moments he opened his eyes and looked around, Ron’s face was still red with fury but he saw the Hermione was definitely thinking about something.
Dumbledore raised his hands slightly to quiet the muttering of the students.
Some of you will be taking your OWL’s this year other your NEWT’s and I wish you all the best, the rest please study hard. As it’s Friday and you all have the weekend and no lessons to look forward to I bid you all a good night and please get some sleep tonight.”
Applause filled the hall before the students started to rise and leave. Harry thought about Dumbledore’s words, they seemed to him to be a little strange. As he sat for the moment he saw Gabrielle closing towards him so he stood to congratulate her but the imposing figure of Professor McGonagall stood in front of him instead. He looked at his head of house and saw that Katie Bell was standing next to her as well.
“Mr Potter I would like a word before you go please follow me.”
Harry glanced round at Ginny, Gabrielle had now joined her and he could see the look of fear on her face. Shrugging his shoulders to the pair he turned and followed McGonagall
Ginny felt Gabrielle grasp her arm as Harry was lead away.
“Well done Gabrielle let’s go to the common room you’ll love it and we can wait for Harry there.”
“Thanks.” Breathed Gabrielle who was still looking at the retreating back of Harry.
**
Harry was lead into the same room he had gone into when his name was picked from the Tri-Wizard tournament. He saw that the furnishings were different but it was still the same room to him. He stood next to Katie waiting for McGonagall to speak.
“I won’t keep you long, but I need a quick word with each of you. First Ms. Bell…I would like to give you this.” She said handing the older girl a red badge.
Katie looked at the badge and felt her mouth open. She had never expected to receive it. In fact she was sure that Harry was going to get it but here she was holding it.
“You’ve both been on the team the longest and it was hard for me to choose but Mr Potter you still have another year.”
“Congratulations Katie.” Said Harry at once. He hadn’t thought about the captaincy, and we quiet pleased that he hadn’t been given the badge, this year was going to be hard enough as it was.
“Thanks Harry...you want to be seeker?”
“You have to hold trials Ms Bell.” Cautioned McGonagall
“I know but do you really think anyone is going to be better that Harry?”
“Well….no”
“So Harry?”
“Of course.” Replied a beaming Harry.
Professor McGonagall smiled before saying anything else; the reaction from both of her students had told her that she had been right.
“OK then Ms Bell I need a few more words with Harry why don’t you go to the common room and show off your badge.”
“OK.” She replied before almost running form the room.
“I thought you may have something to say?” asked McGonagall turning to Harry after Katie had left.
“Me…no you’ve done the right thing Professor.”
“How very…mature of you.”
Harry waited not knowing how to reply but understood that McGonagall’s words were chosen with care.
“Professor Dumbledore has told me of your new status and that you have not requested a private room, so I have placed you in the dormitory as normal.”
“Um…thank you professor.”
“Your elf has reported to the castle and is standing by for your commands. I remind you that your work is to be you and you alone. I also ask you not to display your new privileges as was previously mentioned by the headmaster.”
“Of course.”
“He also asked me to pass on a message about your birthday cards.”
“My cards?”
“The Headmaster has checked all of those that were sent here and has deemed them not dangerous. He requests that you clear them out before the start of term, perhaps Sunday morning after breakfast?”
“Um...ok them.” Agreed Harry.
“He also suggests that you bring your friends along otherwise it might take all day.”
“OK.”
“Lastly he would like to talk to you about the “school club” you ran last year. If you have no objections he will come along on Sunday morning and speak to you about it.”
Harry just nodded.
“If you have and further needs regarding your status please see me and I will arrange it, and please remember I’m still your head of House whilst you are attending lessons.”
“Of course Professor.”
“If you have any further needs please see me and I will see what can be done.”
“Thank you Professor.”
“Last thing is your classes for this year. I’ve yet to receive them from you.”
“Oh…um…sorry.” Replied Harry suddenly digging inside of his robes for the folded piece of paper.
McGonagall took the paper and read it quickly.
“Are you sure?”
“Yes Professor.”
“I have to say you have made a very wise choice. I’ll get you timetable arranged and will distribute it along with everybody else’s at Mondays breakfast.”
“Thank you.”
“You had better be going as well…oh and Mr Potter the password is Constant Vigilance.”
