The Twilight Prince
Link has a destiny...but with which woman? WARNING! ONLY FOR MATURE AUDIENCES!
?Blocked
Link held the reins of Epona with a choke hold. The wind had been uneasy these past days, she became spooked at anything. The whinnying grew more and more shrilled as she faught against the cold breeze coming from the bridge.Link shuddered; he knew beyond that bridge lay the Faron woods but also the rest of Hyrule.
Sure Hyrule's presence never came to the small Ordona Province, it didn't need to. What was going to commit crime the small handful of people or the dozens and dozens of goats? It just that, the people of Ordona never really left their province...it was the last of the provinces that hadn't started high traffic trade of goods. The people were peaceful too, everyone got a fair share of land, food and all helped each other out. The were untouched by the horror of rape, murder, despair and other bad wonders of Pandora's box.
From day one Link had been taught by his father, that out their lay a world of carnage and digress of peace. Most people in the Ordona province knew that about the 'dark world' and thats all they knew of the other lands of Hyrule.
However the mayor of the small village of Ordon had been to travel these lands, he tried to tell the smaller children of the village that Hyrule wasn't completely bad. The Lanayru Province for example housed very hospitable creatures called Zoras. The Adults allowed him to teach this, but the kids saw no need to venture. After a while he kept to himself about his travels, sharing them with his daughter Ilia and her closet friend Link.
Mayor Bo could see the excitment in their eyes when he talked about his travels in the Eldin Province; becoming brethren with the Gordon's. He often taught Link a few sumo lessons but as Link aged and soon left school with his education complete he had less time to spend with Bo.
Link was hired as a ranch hand by the ranch owner Fado, all his time went to rounding up the goats. He even had to help birth many of them this past spring because Fado's back began to limit him more and more. It wasn't talked about but they both knew, the entire town knew that Link was going to receive the Ranch when Fado crossed over.
Ilia was on Link's mind more and more as she began to become of age. They were the first children of the village to see the Ranch be built. Always telling each other about the others day it never really occured to Ilia that Link meant more than good intentions.
Finally Epona gave in to the howling winds. Link pulled her into the spring to drink while he closed the gate. Fado had been telling him an odd story of the twilight that settled before night; it never really mattered that night came well every night but tonight's twilight was creepier with the wind. If Epona was upset then something was definetly wrong.
"Link?"
He turned to see Ilia, she wore her fathers jacket and held a basket covered in cloth. She smiled at the own curve in his lips.
"Ilia."
Link slowly adjusted the saddle in his arms, Epona drank the spring water in ease with the release of the reins. Ilia watched as Link put the saddle on the shore, he slowly unrolled his leggings and came open armed towards Ilia.
"Hey," she whispered as he hugged her tightly.
"Hay's for horses," Link teased.
She smacked his arm as they both sat down for some dinner; Bo had sent her with this basket because of the late day Link had been stuck with. Ilia shivered as she handed link some warm pumpkin soup.
"You cold?" Link asked in surprise, but then he remembered the wind.
"I'm kinda nervous actually," Ilia replied taking some soup for herself, "The wind never blows from the bridge like that."
Link smirked.
"What?" she protested, "You even seemed tense when I showed up."
"I wasn't tense because of the wind Ilia," Link looked down into his empty soup bowl, "I've had spooker stuff happen."
"Epona was tense because of it, that has to at least worry you."
Link shrugged his shoulders placing his bowl in the basket, he grabbed a few apples and began to chomp away. Ilia stared at the beautiful horse that she saved as a colt, it had been Coro who found her wandering in the Faron woods, he gave the horse to the Ordons for peaceful trade. He was the only man living there and he kept people from the fields of Hyrule out, it may have been a few simple sign changes but that was always hush hush.
"Ilia?" Link whispered staring in the sky.
"Yeah Link?"
Link paused, he lay down on the blanket padding the spot beside it. Ilia scooted and lay next to him, both their arms lay at their sides.
"Remember when we were kids and we used to play that game," Link rolled his head and stared into her eyes.
"We played so many, how am I supposed to remember," she rolled her own head staring into his blue orbs.
"The one where you were a princess and I saved you."
Ilia giggled.
"Oh Link," She rolled her head back to the slowly darkening sky, it was almost night, "you always wanted to play that game."
"Because you always hid yourself so well," Link chuckled, "I always took a good hour before I could find you, you even pretend to be gagged and tied."
Ilia giggled again.
"You always tried to continue the game, you know the part where I was supposed to reward you."
"But your dad would always call you for dinner," Link propped himself up on his elbow, "You promised me a reward when we got older."
Ilia copied Link's movement and propped herself on her own elbow.
"We were kids Link," she laughed softly.
The last of the light faded and the night sky ignited with stars.
"A promise is a promise," Link said in a low tone, his eyes glossy.
Ilia smiled at Link, she touched his face.
"As a reward, you can sing me a song."
Link didn't let the comment settle he lunged forward straddling Ilia, he grabbed her legs and rolled over propping her onto him. She lay on top of him staring into his eyes, she tried to pull away and lay back beside him but Link pulled Ilia into a kiss.
At first she tried to stop, but she found something enjoyable in this. Link was gentle with her mouth, only licking the underside of her lips. He even ran his hands through her hair, Ilia couldn't help but grab Link roughly. She knew their had to be a courtship, but Link didn't always play by the rules.
"Link," she gasped, pulling away, "stop."
He let her slide from his hips but welcomed her frame into his arms. They lay in half spoon position. Ilia buried her face into his chest.
"I'm sorry Ilia, I've been wanting to do that for a long time, well part of it anyway."
"You, I didn't think of you that way Link," Ilia rolled away from him, but link lay behind her pulling at her stomach warming her backside, "why didn't you announce courtship?"
Link's breath was hot against the back of her neck.
"I'm not that type of guy, I wanted to show you how I felt."
Ilia tried to pull away again, but Link held her.
"Stop Link."
"No," said Link, "Just let me change your mind about it."
"No?" Her words were hard, "I don't like this."
She got up leaving their dinner mess, Link sat defeated in forest...Even Epona had left.
