An American Wizard in Hogwarts

Hey I think you ought to continue this! Also I have read numerous hp stories where the potters owned a ranch outside of El Paso, Tx and being from Texas I can tell you that is very remote and desolate area! So that in my opinion would be a great place to raise Harry but hey its your story! But as far as Hogwarts being the best, I dont see how. First of all you have a totally worthless History of Magic teacher. You have a DADA position that is cursed so the same teacher cant teach past one year and for some reason dumby doesnt care if he finds qualified teachers for that position. And for when The Potters attended they had a potions teacher that cared more for attracting celebrities to his little slug-club than for teaching and when Harry would of attended the worst possible teacher is teaching potions or should I say not teaching potions. And the muggle relations teacher is worthless and the divination teacher is so worthless there is no name for it. Also there doesnt seem to be any thing setup to ease the muggleborns and muggle raised into the wizarding world. So there if that is what the wizarding world calls its best then politely dont send me a letter, I'm better off being a muggle!

Author's response

There is a major difference between El Paso and Kelso: I know Kelso. Like the back of my hand. The Potter house really does exist. It's right up the road from where I live. I know it isn't described in this chapter, but it is described in the next. It actually used to belong to my babysitter. It's not really remote or desolate, but it's one of the forgotten parts of America.
