Nephilim's Power

Hehe, if you want reviews, just ask about peoples's opinion about Ginny :D (it works, too - I never reviewed on ths site before, so you got me)

But seriously, don't bother asking why people hate Ginny. I should know, I asked myself the same question. It's simply a matter of what people chose to believe in - like wheter you only drink Pepsi or Coca Cola, never would buy a computer that has an AMD processor, or are a firm catholic... well, I may exaggerate a bit, but you get the point.

The truth is, all the reasons that fly around to hate Ginny as a character (at least in OoTP and later) are simply fanon - like her sluttiness with a new boyfriend every week, or even her fangirly-ness - all that contradicts what is given in the books; and especially the love-potion bussiness is totally overrated and OOC, because JKR introduced Romilda Vane for that sole reason (btw, that's an idea if you're looking for a dumb female with good looks - she's the fangirl in HBP)

In OotP, Ginny's just a normal girl who's got over her crush on the boy-who-lived, nothing more, nothing less; in HBP she's a bit more grown up and looks attractive.

The real problem is that JKR can't write romance at all, and so the whole Harry/Ginny-thing is terribly arkward - but that would be the same with any other girl and has nothing to do with Ginny.

If you really want to look for a more negative attribute, I guess you could say she has a bit of a mean streak; but then again that ranks with Ron's jealousy and Hermiones know-it-all-bossiness and is only human.

To sum up the whole rambling (but you did ask... it's your own fault ;)) - if you get a plot bunny which makes it necessary to kill her do so, if not then it's just as well. She's not that important, and frankly, every single additional line used for long-winded discussions on wheter or not people hate her is just wasted space on the server.

To actually put something about the chapter in that review - you've improved, compared with the first chapter IMO, and it's at the very least enough to be interested in the next one.
