Great story. Keep the whoe plot going, even leaving an opening at the end for a sequel.
Just one thing. In the early chapters, Hedwig fell into a plot-hole (must be worse than a black hole), and now it has happened again, as she wasn't heard from after the wake for her companion. I feel that this will need redressing...

Thanks, and that's the plan.
The plot hole was that i didn't even mention her at the platform. Now, however, she's been at Kilchurn for a while, dating a nice Eagle Owl, catching drive-in movies and mice with him, and scouting out a nest in the Hamptons. Or possibly, i just forgot about her again. This time, though, i won't rescue the line again. There's just no point to it now as i have moved so far from OotP.
