the story my grandma used to tell us (and the one i refer to in the story) is about jimmy be a derogatory term fore african americans and since original sprinkles are brown, they'd call them 'jimmies.' as a kid i was horrified, but i have since found out that that isn't true. i don't know why they're actually called jimmies, all i know is that they're delicious =)
