I enjoyed the detail and the true bluntness that there was nothing to be done about the fact that the world is going to end. The way you made as though they weren't giving up to that though, they just realised there was no way to stop it so they may as well enjoy what they had while it lasted and not worry about it.
I can't get one line out of head though. 'All together, we're alone.'
