I really like the portrayal of Hermione's parents. All I have to do is visualise MY child in mortal peril (at age eleven!) and I can see the Grangers as perfectly reasonable and responsible parents.
Thank God Dumbledore didn't try to isolate Harry again. The complete lack of any kind of emotional healing has always been a major flaw in JKR's world.
I'm looking forward to more of this story.

Yeah, that was one thing I wondered about since I read the second book.
But read chapter three and four (the latter might be up in about two weeks).
