That´s a really neat opening chapter you wrote. I love it, especially the caustic remark about the nutritionist.
On a further note, don´t worry too much about predictability. In the end that´s part of what allows us to categorize the stories on here (and the rest of the world, for that matter.) Humans can´t do without stereotyping. ;)
