I am wondering (absolutely not trying to be rude here) if you went beyond the first few pages on this section? We had some trolls and everything exploded, but it's not like that normally.
As for the "would they think it's respectful for us to be writing about them like this thing" probably not- but they'd also most likely understand why people do it, and they'd also understand that we know none of it is real.

Since you asked... nope, I didn't go beyond the first page. The fact that the 'recent stories' list that morning had 3 out of the 5 available stories all MCR rants instead of actual stories is what triggered the response.
Normally I don't even visit the MCR section, and the fact is I don't care to. As long as the writers stay in their own section - where their fanbase is - then I really don't care what they write.
It's when they start coming in to other sections and posting 400 word 'stories' and then complaining and trolling because the regular crowd in those sections don't like their efforts that things start to get ugly. I know someone who had his 20+ chapter/100k+ fic (with all chapters rated 5) totally downgraded by a trolling frerard b*tch and her group of fellow trolls. Why? Because he suggested she go back to MCR and leave their section alone!
So yeah, those two events were what provoked the story. As rude as it is now, it is much tamer than it started out.
Thanks for the comments and the neutral view. If the rest of the MCR crowd had your attitude then there wouldn't be any problems, and this fic would never have been written. :)
