I opened the door and got in the passanger seat. Not really paying attention to really anything
around me.
"Why are you so happy?" I heard Jake ask me
"What..oh..I just got asked out." I say in a love kinda voice
"You say that like its the first time you've gotten asked out."
"Well, it's not." I say coming back to earth
"Ok, then who is it anyone I need to worry about?" He asked all concerned
"Naw. I think you'll totally like him. It's Blake."
"Blake as in Blake Stewart?" He asked surprised
"Yulp." I say proud
"He's cool. I hung out with him over the summer. We played video games."
"Ya, I know. Ya told me right after you got home from his house."
"Oh, well, anyways. You have any plans for tonight?"
"Ya, I'm going to the movies with him tonight. He said he'll call or text with the details." I said filling him in
"Where's Brooke?" I asked not noticing she wasn't in the car
"Oh. Brooke." He said depressed
"What now?"
"She got a ride home with Jimmy."
"WHAT!!! NO!!!" I screamed
"Ya."
"She knows that I like him." I say laying my head on the window
"Evidentally she likes him now."
"Maybe she thought she could go for him since Blake was going to ask me out. This totally doesn't give her any right. I still like him." I say as Jake pulls in the drive way
"Welp this isn't good I was going to ask her out, but that's out of the question now." He says taking the keys out of the ignition
"Jake. Don't give up on it. I mean she's going through a phase it'll pass." I say trying to cheer him up
"Ya, or I could just find someone else to like."
"What. Have you?"
"Maybe."
"Jake. Who is it?"
"Her name is Morgan."
"Morgan oh what is it. I know it umm...lively?"
"Yep."
"Does she like you?"
"I think she's been talking to me a lot lately."
"That's awesome Jake."
I head inside and run up the stairs to my room. I can't wait to go out with Blake. I mean he is just so fine. That brown curly hair of his. The way he smells. I can't wait to sit in a chair right next to him and lay my head on his shoulder. Hopefully it's a scary movie we go and see. After I said that my phone buzzed. I had a text message. I looked and it was from Blake.
"Hey if you don't care Boston and some other guys are going to come too."
"That's cool." I reply back
"Awesome. So, I thought we could go see Living dead."
"Omg I've been dying to see that movie." i crack up after I send that message hopefully he gets it
"Oh haha that's a good one. So, it starts at 7. Do you need me to come pick you up or do you have a ride?"
"I'll have Jake take me there."
"Ok."
I basically stoped texting him after that. I had to decide on what to wear to the movies. I thought about it for a long time sitting on my bed and I think I've got it. I decided on wearing my long sleave brown A&F Veronica tee. with a white under shirt and my Whitney superflare destroyed jeans with my brown and white slip on shoes. I think this is the perfect first date outfit for the movies. I don't think I over done it. Oh ya to finish it off just in case it got cold in the movie theatre I brought my Ava offwhitish jacket. I decided to leave a like 10 till 7.
"Jake let's go!" I yelled to him from down stairs
"I'm coming. Just calm down."
"Uhh.. you are so insensitive."
"Me. Insensitive. Please." He said waving it out of the air
"Just get in the car."
He drops me off at the movies and I walk inside. When I walk inside I see Blake and his friends.
"Sorry, my brother was being a jackass."
After I said that I look to see who is all in the loby of the movie theatre and I see Brooke with Jimmy.
"OMG."
"What?" Blake asked
"We have to hide."
"Why?"
"Because Brooke is here with a uhh.. guy."
"So, your here with a guy."
"Ya, but your my boyfriend now. They aren't going out and she totally knows she's not suppose to be seeing him."
"Oh, so that makes a difference?"
"Yes, so much."
"Ok, then hide behind us. We'll form a groupd or something."
"Ya, but try not to let her see you then she'll know that i'm here."
"Did you tell her that you were going to the movies?"
"No."
"Ok. Well, she just walked into her movie."
"Good, wait what is she going to see?" I asked nervous
"Umm.. Living dead."
"This isn't good ok well let's see we can work this out. Umm...We will stand in the back and find them then avoid where they are sitting at and hope the lights will be dark enough." I said a little too fast
"Ok, I think I got that." Blake said with a chuckle
We walked in the theatre and went to the back to over look all the seats like I planed.
"Good they are sitting in the front so they wont see us."
"Ok, so where do you guys wanna sit?" Blake directed to the whole group
"In the middle?" Boston suggested
"That's cool with me." Seth another one of Blakes' friends said
We walked down the isle and found our seats in the middle. I sat next to Blake and Boston. I really didn't want to siit next to Boston, but he kinda just sat there and I didn't feel like moving. When the lights dimmed Blake glanced at me. I glanced back at him and smiled.
"So, i'm excited." I said
"Ya, me too. I hope this is as good as they make it look."
"I know I hate that they make the previews so much better than the movie."
"Exactally." He said
The movie started out with a girl walking down a rainy street all by herslef.
"This isn't good." I say to myself
All of the sudden a zombie jumps out of nowhere and gets her. I scream and turn and put my face in Blakes' shoulder.
"That was freaky." He said
"Ya, it sure got me." I said looking back at the screen now
When the movie got over I had a spot where I kept hiding in Blake's shoulder.
"Uh.. sorry I kept hiding on you."
"It's totally fine. I liked it." He said putting his arm around me as we leave the theatre
"I'm so gald you asked me out."
"I'm glad I asked you out too." He said sliding his arm down and putting his hand in mine
"Aww.. look at the two love birds holding hands." Boston said
"Your just jealous you didn't ask her out." Blake retorted
"Oh you know it." He jokingly said back
After all his friends left Blake and I went outside to wait for my brother. I looked over and seen Brooke and Jimmy. They were holding hands now. When was she planning on telling me she's going out with my dream guy. Uhh.. why me at least I have a guy now.
"So, did you like the movie?" He asked with his hand in mine
"Ya, it was pretty wicked. What about you."
"My favorite parts were the ones that made you jump."
"And why is that?"
"Because I like your face when it's scared."
"Aww.. that's so cute." I say giving him a hug
"Yep, i'm just a cute guy like that."
After he said that my brother pulled up.
"Uhh... man my bro's here." I said not wanting to let go of him
"I guess I'll see you later then. Or text you later."
"Ok, i'll be waiting." I said with a smile before getting in the care with my brother
"So, how was the date?" Jake asked
"It was better than I hoped." I said in a daze over Blake
"How bout the movie?"
"It was pretty scary. Everytime there was a scary part I hid my head on Blakes' shoulder."
"That must have been cool for you."
"It was so cool. But I have something to tell you."
"What?"
"I think that Brooke and Jimmy are a couple." I said not wanting to say it
"What makes you think that?"
"I seen her there with Jimmy. They were holding hands."
"Did they kiss?"
"I didn't see them kiss or anything, but I can't be sure."
After that the rest of the ride how was quite. Jake barley said anything else when we got home. I guess he really liked Brooke. It can't be that bad He got over Jeanie. So, he can get over Brooke. I'm just gunna have to have a talk with her.
