After lunch hour, Saff had a free period. Charlie said normally he would have hung around with her but he didn’t have a free period. She set herself up in the Library.
“What’chya doin’?” she looked up, Dru’s friendly stubbled face greeted her,
“just catching up on some History coursework, you?” he shrugged and sat in front of her,
“nothing really, i just have a free period” she looked over her laptop at him,
“surely you’ve got some coursework?” Dru shook his head again,
“nope, nada.” He sat in silence for a few seconds before Saff sighed and sat back,
“you’re not gonna ask me about the Ash thing are you? Becau-“
“nothing happened? I know.” There was a small beep when the library door opened, both Dru and Saffy looked over the balcony of the library’s top section: history and science. Stefan saw them and made his way upstairs, sitting next to Dru on the oval table hidden behind a long bookshelf stacked with things on middle age disease. Saff looked back at Dru,
“how do you know?”
“Ash told us” he replied. She nodded,
“great, so Ash has been discussing me, with you two” Stefan shook his head, he was quick to catch on,
“only because we asked”
“and why would you ask?!” she replied, she shut her laptop,
“well because you’re not really Ash’s kind of girl” Dru said, Saff sat back and crossed her arms,
“huh. Funny. I thought Ash’s type was anything with some sort of heartbeat” Stefan sniggered and she let go a tiny smile and rolled her eyes before sitting forward again and resting her albows on the table, holding her head up with her hands. “How come nobody else thinks along those lines” Dru looked at Stefan who shook his head and concerntrated back on Saff,
“why don’t you just talk to Ash-“
“because i try to put myself as far as possible from a situation where i have to talk to Ash everyday” he ignored her comment,
“and i’m sure he’ll explain something or not, honestly, me and Dru know nothing except from the fact that nothing happened, literally, he was sat in the kitchen, we asked him, he said nothing happened and then told us about Ty and then left” she nodded and put her laptop in her bag,
“fine i’ll talk to him after college or something.”
