“I’ll get the door then, shall i?” Stefan mumbled, annoyed that Ash was downstairs but he’d had to come all the way from his bedroom upstairs because his bestfriend was lazy. “Oh, hey. I forgot you were coming” he pushed the door open a little wider for Saff,
“yeah, well, i don’t have much of a choice. Where’s Ash?” Stefan pointed to the living room door and she nodded, walking through.
Ash sat up when Saff come in,
“you’re not here slap me are you?” he asked, turning his head to the side and narrowing his eyes at her, she shook her head,
“not yet” Stefan leaned on the doorframe and put his hands in his pockets,
“you kind of owe her some sort of explanation mate” he said, almost apologetically.
“Kind of?” Saff shook her head, “don’t let that fool you Ash, you definitely, without the slightest doubt, owe me an explanation.” He sighed and fell back into the sofa, burying his face under his hands and groaning. Saff had sat down on the sofa opposite, Stefan chuckled and walked out into the kitchen, leaving them to it. “Lets start here, what the hell were you thinking?!”
“I didn’t say anything”
“then why are people coming up with different stories of what happened here?!” Ash shook his head,
“i don’t know, but i didn’t say anything” Saffy was beginning to lose her patience.
“You know exactly what position i’m in, why aren’t you telling them what-” she shook the thought, knowing it was stupid.
“Why don’t i tell them what? What really happened? Because you know as soon as i do that i’ll have to tell them-“
“evergthing else. I know. But you don’t exactly help by laughing ‘knowingly’ when someone says something like “oh how’s Saff in bed?” because you do”
“look, it’s stopping them from asking questions got it? I mean important questions, not dumb questions” she glared at him, then lowered her voice.
“And what happens when Ty gets out and hears about it? You know he knows quite a few people-” Ash nodded,
“i know, i know and i’ll explain” she rolled her eyes and collapsed back into the sofa,
“it’s not as simple as that and you know it. He told you to watch out for me while he’s gone. That probably included “don’t somehow get me a reputation as a slag who starts college then three days later sleeps with the school stud” or at least don’t let people think she did.” Stefan walked back in,
“So… What actually happened that night you were round…?” Ash and Saff looked at each other, Ash shrugged,
“your call”
