Gerard's POV

To be leaving that room felt brilliant. Stepping outside and into the corridor brought a huge wave of relief over me. I breathed out loudly, feeling that I could breathe normally again. Having to tell someone who you hardly know, how you're feeling is the worst thing to ever do. I felt arms wrap around me tightly and I instinctively wrapped my arms around them
"I'm so proud of you!" Frankie spoke as he nuzzled his face into my neck. I smiled. He hadn't left my side; he had kept to his word and stayed there the whole time – encouraging, supporting, loving and a shoulder to cry on. The reassuring hand squeezes every minute made me feel safe and secure in the unfamiliar surroundings
"Me too, I'm fucking proud of my big brother," Mikey spoke putting his arms around me and hugging me also. If I could move, I'd wrap an arm around him too. I took a moment to think. That one word; depression. It scared me a little, to know it would always be there; lurking in the darkness and creeping up unexpectedly at times. But I now know I have the best people around me to look out for me. The more worrying thought of having to take tablets made me shudder a little – just having to take normal painkillers when I've got a killer of a headache is bad enough!

"Come on, let's go find mum and Holly." Mikey walked back down the corridor. I felt Frankie press his lips to my neck and before he pulled away I planted a kiss on his forehead and linked my fingers with his again and walked. Every step I took, I felt closer to freedom; being out of the doctor's surgery and out in the open air. It's not just the needles that cause me to hate the place so much – there is just something about a doctor's surgery that I don't like. Maybe it's the having to wait a lifetime to have someone tell you there was nothing wrong. Or the fact that most of the rooms were fairly bright, small and square, making you feel claustrophobic. I shook my head of the thoughts as we emerged out into the waiting room. Another thing – the atmosphere in a waiting room is tense and awkward. It really is. Mum was sat with Holly. Holly seemed to be in a day dream, staring at something on the wall. Mum looked round and smiled. She nudged Holly as she stood up and walked over. The next thing I saw was the top that mum was wearing and the air being squeezed out of me
"So proud of you Gerard, so brave!"
"Thanks mum," I gasped out. I pushed myself free and saw Mikey smirking as she hugged Frankie gently and then turned on Mikey
"And such good boys for going with him!" I could hear giggling

"Damn, I was looking forward to tackling you to the ground if you had tried to run out of here!" Holly teased. I stuck my tongue out at her as Frankie giggled
"Great vote of confidence, thanks Holly, I'm not eight years old anymore." She giggled and attached herself back onto Mikey
"Come on, let's go," mum said calmly. I saw Mikey slip her the piece of paper as we walked out. We piled into the car with the clicks of seatbelts and then the roar of the car kicking into life as mum pulled out of the car park
"Hey Holly, Mikey never did read you that story," Frankie spoke. Holly looked puzzled for a moment
"Damn!" she made a sad face and looked to Mikey. He laughed
"I'll read you something another time Holly." Frankie giggled and shuffled as close as he could next to me, despite the seatbelt restraining him a little. I hooked my arm around him and cuddled him. I felt like a heavy school bus had been lifted up off my shoulders, now that we were a good distance away from the doctor's surgery. I smiled to myself. I could feel within the next few days that things would be back to normal again. I glanced down at my hand as I felt Frankie trace random patterns across the tops of my hands. He stopped and locked eyes with me. I smiled at him and he smiled back. A funny tingle was left on my hand where he had stopped. The conversation going on between holly and Mikey drowned out as I floated off into a world with Frankie. I could feel myself leaning in and the smile on Frankie's face grew wider. I don't care that I'm in the car with other people. An inch away from his face

"ICE CREAM!" I jumped with Frankie, before Frankie bit his bottom lip. I looked round to see Holly in the front seat clapping her hands excitedly. Mikey burst out laughing
"Well I thought you all could do with a treat, especially Gerard." Holly squealed with excitement and Frankie chuckled
"Go on, out you get, go and get yourself an ice cream, I'm going to park up and I'll be there." Holly flew out of the car. Mikey got out and I followed him and helped Frankie out of the car and held his hand firmly
"Hurry up!" Holly screamed before running inside the ice cream parlour. It was really quiet, considering it is still winter. Holly was at the counter and already choosing her ice cream
"Holly, slow down!" Mikey giggled as he approached her
"She's worse when there is actually an ice cream truck," Frankie whispered. I giggled. I had a mental image of Holly chasing the truck down the road, which made me laugh even more. After waiting for Holly to make a decision, we sat at a table with our ice cream. Holly went silent and I glanced at Frankie
"The peace won't last long," Frankie said. Holly looked at him confused but did not say anything. Mikey chuckled and wrapped his arm around her lovingly

"Hey Gee."
"Hmm?" I looked round to see Frankie's big eyes gazing into mine – I nearly dropped my ice cream, but redeemed myself
"You got ice cream on your face." That could have two meanings; first meaning he was about to either nudge me so my ice cream went in my face or he did it with his or the other meaning, I actually did have ice cream on my face and looked a right twat
"Where?" I asked cautiously
"Right here." He reached a hand up, cupped my cheek and kissed me. His lips were cold, but sweet and sticky from the ice cream. I kissed back and waited for a remark from my brother, but did not receive on
"Got it," Frankie said as he broke away and smiled, blushing a little. I smiled back at him and felt a blush creeping up my cheeks. I glanced at my brother, who seemed to be staring between me and Frankie but had decided not to say anything. My eyes quickly darted to Holly and a smirk replaced my smile
"Hey Mikey."
"Yeah?" He turned and Holly nudged his arm upwards. Frankie burst into fits of giggles and I laughed at the sight of ice cream now covering Mikey's mouth and nose. It had missed his glasses. He did not say anything but simply looked at Holly with eyebrows raised. She giggled and returned to her ice cream

"Oh Mikey, you were always the ,messy eater," mum said. Frankie and I stifled our laughter, as best as possible as mum pulled out a tissue and began dabbing away at his face. He had turned a nice scarlet red and glanced at Holly again, who bared a cheeky grin across her face
"Mum, seriously?" she winked at me and Frankie before eating her own ice cream. I hadn't seen her come in and go up to the counter
"Sorry sweetie." I smirked even more. I didn't think Mikey could go any redder. I glanced at Frankie and he was focused on eating his ice cream, with a funny smile painted across his face
"Donna?"
"Yes Holly?" Holly always acted sweet and innocent around anyone's parents
"Can Mikey come to mine after we've been here?"
"If your parents are fine with it, then yes," she smiled. Holly smiled at Mikey and he smiled back. I don't even want to know what they're going to get up to
"Hey, if Mikey gets to go to Holly's, can Frankie come back with us?" I looked at Frankie and his eyes lit up and looked to my mum. She laughed
"Of course, if Linda is fine with it."
"I'll text my mum and ask!" Frankie pulled his phone out and proceeded to multi-task; text and eat an ice cream at the same time

We sat quietly while we finished our ice cream, Holly being the first to finish. After a text confirming that Frankie could stay, we headed back into the car
"Now, Gerard and Frank, you have a choice. You can either order something in to eat, or you two can cook up something of your own choice in the kitchen." Me and Frankie looked at each other and smiled
"We'll cook something," we said in unison. We burst out laughing
"Ok, just don't burn the kitchen or set the house on fire."
"Mikey is more capable of doing that," I giggled
"Hey!" Mikey said as he hit my arm playfully. The ride back was quiet, as we dropped Mikey off with Holly. The rest of the ride back was spent deciding what we were going to cook
"Well, we either make our own pizza or we make a pasta dish," I suggested. Frankie giggled
"Pasta dish!"
"Whatever you boys decide, just remember what I said, don't burn my kitchen down!" I scrambled out of the car followed by Frankie
"Aren't you coming mum?"
"I have a few jobs to do; I shouldn't be gone longer than an hour." I watched her back out of the drive and wave goodbye before picking my house keys out of my bag and opening the front door

"Come on, we have a pasta dish to make and eat!" I said after kicking my shoes off and taking Frankie's hand and walking through into the kitchen. He giggled as I began to look in cupboards
"Yeah, but what are we going to make?" He asked
"Well, we can have a simple macaroni and cheese, or we can have this Italian dish that Elena used to make for me and Mikey when we were little." Frankie screwed his face up to think
"The Italian dish," he giggled. I smiled and began roaming around in the cupboards
"It's a pasta dish, with this tomato sauce thing, lots of vegetables, toasted bread and cheese on top." I stood up straight after pulling items out of the cupboard to see Frankie biting his lip
"Thing is, I can never remember what it's Italian name is, but all I know is, she was fucking amazing at cooking it and I know you'll like it!" Frankie giggled before rushing over
"So, what can I do?" I smiled at him before putting everything down and pulling him close and kissing him. He smiled and pulled back
"Oh, you know I can always kiss you Gee-bear." I giggled. He was such a remarkable guy. My hopes and spirits had been lifted and the darkness was gone
"Fill that pan with water and boil some pasta."
"Yes sir!" he chuckled, saluting me, before taking the pan and filling it with water. This was going to be an interesting half hour, cooking dinner with Frankie.

Frank's POV

Managing to keep to Donna's wishes, her kitchen was still standing and fire-free. Gee was right. The pasta dish tasted amazing. Donna returned home, just as she had predicted, an hour later. It had been a long and tiring week. Even though all I had done was rest at the hospital, you wouldn't think I was tired. Wrong; hospital beds are the most uncomfortable form of bed to sleep in. And with my ribs so sore and achy I hardly slept. Being home and in my own bed had been very welcoming and warming, even with a little bit of discomfort. Right now, being cuddled up next to Gee on the couch, my head resting against his chest and arms wrapped around me gently, I was very comfy in deed. We had watched a few movies, ones that weren't horror movies thankfully. I had no idea of what the time was. All I knew was that Donna had gone to bed, and Gee looked half asleep. I could feel my own eyes fighting to stay open. I focused them on the TV in hope that the bright screen and sounds would keep me awake. Gee shifted a little and I felt his lips press to the top of my head. I smiled and looked up to see him smiling before yawning. I giggled
"Someone's tired," I said quietly. He nodded his head
"Fancy going to bed yet?" he suggested. I nodded my head and pushed myself up into a sitting position. Gee reached for the TV remote and switched the TV off. He took hold of my hand and pulled me up gently. Switching the lights off as we went, I kept close to Gee. He would know how to get round the house in the dark, well that's what I would think anyway

"Watch yourself on the steps," he whispered. I followed suited and took each step carefully. He pushed open his bedroom door and walked forwards. Closing it, I forgot how dark it got and panicked a little. Glued to the spot I reached out with my arms
"Gee?" A light that dazzled me for a second, before realising it was his bed-side light. Gee stood there giggling. He smiled brightly at me, before I made my way over to him, stepping over the clutter on his floor. I hugged into him tightly and breathed in his scent and smiled
"I've missed this," he whispered. I nodded my head in agreement and closed my eyes, just cherishing the moment. His hands smoothed up my back gently and I cuddled in closer to his chest. He giggled
"Come on, I think skinny jeans will be a little uncomfortable to sleep in." I shivered a little and giggled. I couldn't resist and took hold of the bottom of his t-shirt and pulled it up and over his head. Using a hand, I traced patterns over his pale chest; skin soft like silk. He began to giggle before pulling my top up over my head and greeting me with a kiss. His eyes dropped down and scanned across my body, his fingers skimming over bruises. I watched him for a second, before taking hold of his hands and pressing my lips gently to his
"I think I need a hand with taking my skinny jeans off," I smiled. A smile came back to his face, before he broke his hands free from my grip and down to the button. After a few seconds, I was able to step out of them and within a few more seconds, Gee's skinny jeans were next to mine. Gee lowered himself as he sat on his bed and pulled me onto his lap, keeping close contact, ghosting his lips over my jaw line before nibbling at my neck. It felt so good, yet our agreement to wait until my ribs were fully healed was killing me. Feeling myself grow stiff and not be able to do anything was the worst thing possible right now

Grinding into Gee, I'd hope he get the idea of what his neck-nibbling tactic was doing to me. I felt him smile against my neck before pulling away and pressing his forehead to mine
"I don't want to hurt you." I smiled
"You won't, I trust you." I kissed the tip of his nose before he smiled even more. He cuddled me close and held me as he shifted and lay me down on the bed. I moved a little as a niggling pain shot up between my ribs on the right hand side. Gee hovered above me, holding himself up with his hands and knees. Pulling his head down, I kissed him gently as I felt his hands work themselves down to the hem of my boxers and pulling them down, just enough to expose me. I closed my eyes at his touch as he slowly worked me, with his hand. Our lips joined together, my hands roamed up the sides of his torso, and onto his back. A hand skated back up his back and became tangled in his hair, while using the other to continue tracing his spine. His hand movements became quicker with each trace, a soft moan coming from the back of Gee's throat. Breaking the kiss, to bite my neck, I let a small moan escape and felt him smile. I could feel myself start to tense and the funny feeling appear in my stomach
"Gee!" It came out more as a whisper than a moan. Heat pricked up across my body my climax came closer and closer
"Gerard-" but before I could finish, a nibble just below my earlobe pushed me over the edge. The wave of warmth washed over me, and I pulled Gee closer to me

Riding out the last waves, tiredness took its place and my eye lids felt heavy. I flickered them open to see Gee smiling before he kissed my cheek, removed his hand and pulled my boxers back up. He cuddled up next to me
"But wait-"
"No, you're too tired, tomorrow, I can wait." He smiled again before kissing my forehead, leaning over and switching the light off. Before I had a chance to argue back, sleep welcomed me.

-------------------------------------------------------

Stirring from a good long sleep, I felt warm and Gee's familiar scent. I turned and nuzzled my nose into the crook of his neck and sigh contently. I smiled and flickered my eyes open in search for a clock to tell me the time. 11:00am I looked around the room sleepily and stared into familiar pair of green eyes with berry red strands falling across their face. I smiled at them before closing my eyes. Wait. My eyes snapped opened and I let out a scream
"HOLLY??" Gee jumped awake wrapping an arm protectively around me and grabbing something off his bed side table as a weapon. Holly fell over backwards laughing as I clung onto Gee tightly
"Holly? What are you doing in here??" Gee questioned. She rolled around on his floor laughing
"What's going on in here?" came Mikey's voice and the sound of his footsteps on the stairs. He kicked the door open with his foot and came in baring two coffees. He smiled at Holly laughing and then looked at me and Gee. Although I had my boxers on, I suddenly felt exposed. I grabbed hold of the covers and pulled them up higher
"God!!" Holly giggled even more as she sat up. Gee dropped what he was holding back onto his table
"Your . . . . . . face . . . . . . . Frank! It . . . . . . . was . . . . . . . a . . . . . . . . . . PICTURE!" Holly breathed out before laughing even more
"Mikey, that coffee had better be for me and Frankie if it isn't, I'm going to kick your ass out of this room," Gee said threateningly. I looked to Mikey who had stopped
"As a matter of fact, it is." Mikey walked around Holly and handed us coffee. Gee smiled at his brother
"Anyway, what are you doing in my room?"
"Yeah, me and Gee 'could' have been awake." Gee smirked at the look Mikey pulled. Holly sat up
"You two look so cute sleeping together," Holly said before her famous cheeky grin flashed across her face. I snuggled up to Gee with my cup of coffee as Mikey sat on the edge of the bed. Holly got to her feet and pounced on Mikey. She giggled as Mikey pushed himself further back, so his back rested against the wall
"All I am going to say is, if you two are going to start eating and touching each other, you can get out of my room," Gee said before taking a sip of coffee. I chuckled as Holly cuddled into Mikey. Mikey gave his brother the finger and Gee raised an eyebrow. Sitting in a room, cuddled up to the one I love and my two best friends sat by my feet was the best feeling in the world.

Gerard's POV

The weekend went too fast but I had spent it with Frankie. My dad had come home half an hour after we had got up on Saturday. I don't think I had been so happy to see him back at home and have him cuddle me like he did when I was little. It was soon Monday. It was raining this morning – the weather must know how miserable we are all feeling about school. But today, Frankie had managed to persuade his mum to let him go to school. She was reluctant to let him go in with his ribs still sore, but he twisted her arm into letting him come. Mikey was stood by the front door waiting, coat on and hood up. I chuckled and grabbed my coat
"Bye boys, have a good day," dad called. Dad was meant to come home from his business trip this Friday coming, but seeming as he was home early after what had happened last week, he was off work
"Bye dad!" I called in unison with Mikey. Mikey opened up the front door and screwed up his face as the rain fell gently, discolouring the sidewalk; the smell of damp rose and filled the atmosphere as me and Mikey set out
"Even the weather hates Mondays," Mikey joked. It wasn't long before I could see Frankie waiting. He smiled at me and Mikey as we approached. He began to laugh
"What?" Mikey asked
"You're both wearing the same coat," Frankie chuckled. I looked at Mikey and he looked at me in return
"Damn," I mumbled as Frankie cuddled into me
"Trust our mum to buy us matching coats," Mikey muttered, pulling his hood over his head a little more. I giggled as I laced my fingers with Frankie's fingers
"Don't worry, Holly will make more a of a deal of it," Frankie chuckled as we walked down the side-walk in the pouring rain. True to Frankie's words, Holly giggled all the way to school, commenting on our matching coats. Fuck – mothers have to be annoying and buying matching clothing! Holly ran and jumped in every puddle she could find while laughing

"Holly, seriously! How can you have so much energy, first thing on a Monday morning?" Mikey asked as she cuddled into him giggling
"I just do, besides I'm excited."
"About what?" Holly laughed even more and pulled away from Mikey
"You mean, you've forgotten?" I stared at Mikey and Frankie, both looking equally confused
"Jesus, I wouldn't have thought Frank would forget it!" We all stared at Frankie who looked lost
"Um-"
"The Misfits concert! It's this weekend!" I felt a huge smile come across my face and looked at Frankie. He took a second for it to sink in before he beamed a smile, like the Cheshire cat
"That's this weekend?" Mikey asked, smiling. Holly nodded her head and jumped up and down
"So that's what Bob meant by his text," Mikey said as we continued to walk. Holly giggled and cuddled back into his side
"Can't believe I forgot about that!" Frankie said shaking his head
"You're not the only one!" I exclaimed giggling. The rain came down like cold icy bullets as we continued our walk to school. Frankie had gone quiet and I looked round to see him staring right ahead of him. Mikey and Holly were a little ahead, walking hand in hand, while Holly giggled at the words Mikey spoke

"Hey, you don't have to come back today." I squeezed his hand and spoke softly. He looked round and smiled
"I know, but I want to, bored at home and I want to be with you." I smiled back at him. He looked nervous. I squeezed his hand for reassurance
"Just think of the weekend, when we'll be at the concert." The thought of the concert excited me, and a smile flickered across Frankie's face. I squeezed his hand again
"I'll be right here, right beside you." He smiled even more, his eyes seem to glisten in the grey, gloominess of the wet, miserable Monday. I stopped dead in my tracks and placed a delicate kiss on his cold lips. He kissed back and smiled, moving closer and ghosting a hand over my cheek
"Come on you two!" Holly called. Breaking away, Holly and Mikey had stopped walking, obviously noticing we weren't behind them. Frankie smiled before moving his head close again
"I love you," he whispered, his warm breath tickling the side of my face, causing a sudden tingling sensation to rush through my body. A kiss on the cheek, a squeeze of the hand and we walked and caught up with Holly and Mikey. Walking through the school gates, I kept a firm hold of Frankie's hand as we trudged through muddy puddles. People looked round to stare and whisper to one another. Pulling Frankie close as we walked, up the steps and into the building. Holly and Mikey turned to say their goodbyes before wondering off to their first lesson. Pushing our way through to our first lesson of the morning, the familiar smell of damp clothes and sweat filled the atmosphere. I looked at Frankie, to see him at ease as he sat down in our cold classroom, notebook and pen out ready to work. People filled into the class and looked round, exchanged looks and sat down
"Ignore them," I whispered as he lowered his head a little. He looked round and smiled and brushed his hand across mine as the teacher walked in to start the lesson.
