"Brendon, put the gun down." I said looking in his eyes instead of the gun. His eyes weren't the crazy uncaring eyes I normally saw when he lost his mind but the sad apologetic, soft brown ones I loved.
"This is the only way to fix everything." He said. I couldn't help but begin to cry, there had to be something I could say or do to save my life.
"I love you Brendon and I know you love me. I can't live without you, so if you feel like you can live without me go ahead." I said
"I wasn't planning on living without you, there would be one less monster on the streets this way." He said and hand and the gin began to shake as the tears now spilled from his eyes, I was terrified. "Why do you want to leave me?! I said I was sorry, I told you I can't help it." He said as his eyes grew wilder. He made a quick motion and I shut my eyes as I herd the boom from the gun and I braced myself for the pain as my ears wrong from the shot. I didn't feel any pain and opened my eyes to see Brendon laying on the floor with blood that was now starting to pool around him. I screamed then jumped up to check on him. I saw blood all over his shirt coming from his chest I listened for breathing and herd it shallowly. I searched for the keys in his pocket and unlocked the door and ran up the stairs. When I got up there I looked at my exit but kept going. I searched the house until I found his cell phone on the living room coffee table. I dialed 911 as I raised back down the stairs.
"911, what's your emergency?" The operator said.
"Please help. I think my boyfriend accidentally shot himself." I said in tears not thinking about what I was saing as I took the pillow case off the pillow and went over to Brendon and held it on his chest to try to stop the bleeding.
"Okay mam, is he breathing?"
"Yes, but barely." I said frantically.
" What's the address ma'am?" She asked.
"I don't know,w." I cried.
"Stay on the line were going to try to trace the call. Where was he shot?" She asked.
"In the chest. I'm trying to stop the bleeding but its so bad." I had no Idea what I was saying anymore the words just all spilled from my mouth.
"Every good ma'am. What's your boyfriend's name?" She asked.
"Brendon Urie." I said. I looked down at my blood covered hands.
"Please go up and unlock the front door and leave it open. Where in the house are you?" She asked.
"In the basement through the kitchen you can see the kitchen as you walk in." I said climbing the stairs to go unlock the door. I opened the door and the sun made my eyes burn, I began to hear sirens as I raced back down to the basement.
"Just stay on the line ma'am" I herd the operator say.
"I think they're here." I sniffled. I hung up when I herd paramedics coming down the stairs. I sat down and just cried not knowing what to do.I was free, but Brendon was dyeing on the floor near me and I couldn't make myself leave.
A police officer knelt on the floor beside me and I looked to Brendon as paramedics surrounded him.
"What's your name?" He asked
"Amy Palkin" I said almost in audible through my sobs.
"Amy, where were you when this happened?" He asked.
"Upstairs in our room." I lied.
"Were you two alone in the house?" he asked and I nodded. "Were you two in any sort of an argument before this?" He asked and I shook my head lying again.
"Did he have any reason to do this to himself?" The officer asked and I shook my head again.
"So, you weren't down here when this happened?" He asked again as if he didn't believe me.
"No, I was upstairs. I wouldn't shoot my boyfriend." The words left my mouth and honestly I didn't know if I would or not. I looked to see that Brendon wasn't there anymore.
"Do you want to ride with the paramedics or do you want to drive to he hospital?" The officer asked.
"I-I'll drive, I-I have to call his parents." I stuttered out as I lied. The poliece officer walked out and I followed him up the stairs. After he had left I herd the sirens start up on the ambulance and I looked for Brendons car keys. I found them hanging on a little hanger on the wall in the kitchen.
I went out to the driveway and got in the car. I got Brendon's phone out of my pocket and dialed an all too familiar number as anxietey welled in my stomach.
"Hello?" The cheery voice asked making me so relieved I began to cry again."
"Carla! Its Amy." I said.
"Oh my god! Where have you been? Whose number is this? Are you alright?" She asked worried.
"With Brendon, he shot himself. Can you meet me at the hospital?" I sniffled.
"Oh my god. Yeah, I'll be there in a second. Meet me in the parking lot okay? Everything will be alright." She said. I said goodbye relieved that she was okay and began to drive. I should just drive away why am I even doing this? Why did I care so much? It was almost me instead of him. But he didn't kill me, he would rather end his own life instead of mine.
