1Exciting
The rain came down hard on Delilah. She was walking along a building, in London. She was dragging her hand along the brick wall. Usually Delilah hated the rain, but now she found it kind of relaxing. It reminded her of the time when she was suspected of being a double agent and Julius had followed her, even though she told him not to. Then it started to rain and he had an umbrella. 'He was always prepared and he always looked out for me.' Delilah's thoughts were interrupted as two strong hands grabbed her and pushed her up against the wall which made her drop her stuff. Then he flipped her around so that she was facing him.

He was strong way stronger than Julius. You could tell he had a great paying job by the clothes and accessories he wore, but you could tell he was unhappy with his life just by looking in his eyes. He had a short messy stubble and short black hair. He looked up and down Delilah's body. His eyes full of greed. He pushed himself up against her and even with all of Delilah's training, she was no match for this creep.

He rubbed the side of his face up against the side of Delilah's face. She flinched as his spiky stubble touched her face. With his lips right beside her ear he whispered, "How about you and me go get a room." he rubbed his hand down the side of her stomach, "By the way it wasn't a question."

Out of all the times in her life she wanted Julius to be here now, the most. All of a sudden he removed his hand that was slowly, traveling up her stomach and moved it to the back of his neck as he turned around. Delilah looked around him to see a young man, that looked about 20, with a rock in his hand.

"Leave her alone." He yelled as he threw another rock that hit him right in the chest.

The man clutched his chest in pain, "You have a good throwing arm, kid."

"I know. I'm the pitcher for my baseball team." he threw another rock that hit him hard in the shoulder. "Now leave her alone or do you want a rock in the head."

"No I'm going." but before he left he turned to Delilah and said, "You're lucky."

Delilah bent down to pick up her stuff as the other man came towards her. He bent down and helped Delilah pick up her stuff. They both stood up and Delilah said, "Thank you."

"You're welcome."

"Why did you help me? You could have gotten hurt."

"I have this thing where I can't stand by and watch someone get hurt."

"You remind me of someone."

"Is that good?"

"I haven't decided yet."

"Well I hope it's good. Oh by the way I'm Kevin." Kevin held out his hand. Delilah shook it.

"I'm Delilah."

"That's a pretty name."

"Thank you."

"Would you like to get a cup of coffee with me? I'll buy."

"Ummmm..." Delilah couldn't think of anything to say.

"Please. Plus you should get out of the rain before you catch a cold."

"Well I guess it couldn't hurt."

"I know this great café and it's only a block away."

Both of them began to walk down the street. For some reason Delilah's new found friend did reminded her of the love of her life, but that only made the matters worst. She had lost her best friend and her love. Delilah knew that she would never heal from Julius's death. Tears soon rolled her cheek. Usually she would immediately wipe them away, but with the heavy rain no one would notice her crying. So she cried almost all the way to the café.

Kevin opened the door for Delilah and they sat a table by the window. A waitress came over and they both ordered a cup of coffee then she left.

Kevin was the first to speak. "If you don't mind me asking. What's bothering you?"

"Why would you think something's bothering me?"

"You have depressed written all over your face."

"Well my best friend died a little while ago."

"I'm sorry for your lost. If it helps my dad died about a year ago."

Delilah started to laugh but quit right away. "I'm not laughing at your dad's death, but how it that suppose to help?"

"I had a death in my family so I think that I can help you get though your friends death."

"Do you miss your dad?"

"Yeah sometimes, but I'm at peace with his death. I believe that everything happens for a reason. For example, if he hadn't died then I wouldn't be able to help you cope with your friend's death."

Delilah tried not to, but couldn't help it as she laughed, "You can't help me with Julius' death." She took a deep breath to get herself under control, then in a nice calm voice she asked, "You still have a lot of friends and family, right?"

"I have a huge family and tons of friends."

Delilah took a deep breath in and slowly exhaled, "That's where you and me differ. I have no family my parents died when I was five. Julius, my best friend died. He was always there for me and in the end he sacrificed his life for me. You don't know what I've been though. I use to live in Canada, but when Julius died I couldn't stand to stay at the academy anymore."

Just then the waitress came back and said, "I'm sorry but it's closing time."

"Come on Andi. Can we stay until you leave? I know you have to stay and clean up for awhile?"

"Kevin it's closing time."

"But I'm your buddy." Kevin gave Andi sad puppy dog eyes.

"Fine both of you can stay."

"Thanks."

When Andi walked away Delilah asked, "You know her?"

"Yeah, we went to high school together and now she lives in the same apartment as me. Enough about me I want to know everything about you, like why is this Julius guy so special and what do you mean by Academy. Start from the beginning."

"Okay then. When I was young my parents were never home. They were spies and..."
