Chronic Pain

by The_Wingless_Raven 9 Reviews

This follows two different stories of two different characters. Warning: Major angst. This is just the first chapter of many. Not sure how often I'll update though

Switching between the point of views so much in an abrupt way like that takes too much attention away from the story

    Author's response

I still like how I wrote it, and so did all the people who read it on ffn. They loved this story, and maybe it's not the writing that's the problem, but the reader?

    Awesome fic Raven. ^^

Whoever sent you that other review was just stupid. >.<

    Great job! ^__^

    Author's response

Once again...doesn't really say anything about the story...

I really liked the imagery of Ryou in the pool, enclosed in water while Yugi watched anxiously. I don't want to say this is OOC, but I haven't seen Ryou this depressed in the canon, so I expect you'll give us a plausable reason for his desire to "drown" in the next chapter when you develop the plot more.

    Author's response

Thank you for keeping an open mind about this fic! Yes, it'll become more apparent in later chapters. Once again, thanks for the open mind!

OMG CHRONIC PAIN! ^-^ love this fic gal glad its back up! I was hit with saddness that Ryou was drowning himself.. tears but very well done!

    Author's response

Muwahaha YES Chronic Pain once again graces this world! Yeah, even though it only got so many reviews on ffn, it was on the favorites lists of a ton of people who emailed me wondering why the hell I took this and LAPAS down. They demanded that I leave them up for everyone to read because they were my best works. Do you remember LAPAS? Well, I'm gona tweak it a bit and repost.

"I still like how I wrote it, and so did all the people who read it on ffn. They loved this story, and maybe it's not the writing that's the problem, but the reader?"

It's the writing you arrogant piece of shit learn to take some criticism such as that instead of sidetracking and making up excuses.

By the way, all of those people that said that on FFN are your friends NO SHIT they're going to say it's amazing. No friend is going to say "That fucking sucks go kill yourself and never write again".

    Get over yourself.

    Author's response

-yawns- Wow, you're still going at it? And you said that I needed a life! Many people read this other than my friends, and it got a lot of nice reviews before I took it down. Now you should really go get a life, because you obviously live to bully people online. Besides, you're getting really boring.

Me boring? ha. ha. ha. Good one. You're a riot. I don't give a shit. Now bend over and suck my dick you ungrateful hobag.

    Author's response

If you don't give a shit then why the hell are you still around? And how about no on sucking your dick? I don't suck dick, and even if I did, I wouldn't suck diseased dick like yours. Why are you calling me ungrateful? What should I be grateful about when it comes to you? Oh, you're right, thanks for leaving me so many flames that other people are reading my stories and saying that they liked them. You're actually doing me more good than harm. Sorry if that's not what you intended, but that's what you're doing. Now if you'll excuse me, I have a guild to run on GaiaOnline.

You think PARC is one person.

Well aren't you the ignorant one...

    Author's response

No, I figured out quite a while ago that PARC, and PARCD were more than just one person. It's pretty obvious when it comes to how things are phrased.

I guess I'm a bit slow on the uptake but still felt like reviewing even if this never gets read.
I got a strong overall picture of Ryou's mental instability and Yugi's need nurture and protect him, but there weren't enough details complete the puzzle so to speak. It could be that I'm missing something obvious but did you ever give an explanation of how Ryou lives through his drowning episodes? That was really the only thing that caught me up. Either way I enjoyed reading and hope there will be continuation.
