Lexi stepped up to the microphone in her small rehearsal space as her band mates started playing one of their songs. She started to sing and all her worries seemed to melt away. For a few minutes she wasn't thinking about Brent and how hurt he was or how she lost her best friends because of all the drama. Her voice filled the room and she couldn't help but let her mind slip. In her fantasy, she was standing on a stage in a venue in God knows where. The show was definitely sold out and all the kids were there for her band, Head First For Heart Ache. As they played through the song, Lexi grinned as she noticed that everyone was singing along with her. Sadly, she was brought back to reality when the song finished.

"That sounded great Lexi!" Her friend and guitarist Scott exclaimed happily. Lexi beamed as she flopped down on the couch. She was quickly surrounded by the rest of her band mates. Dan, the drummer, sat down beside her while Eric, the bassist, sprawled out on the floor.

"So what time are we heading out tonight? I still can't believe that we're playing an actual gig!" Eric said excitedly, causing everyone around him to laugh.

"We're just playing some dingy Vegas bar.... And we need to leave in two hours." Lexi said, standing up. "I am going to head home and get ready. I'll meet you back here in an hour." With that, Lexi left the small garage and walked towards her house. She was surprised to see Brent's car sitting in the drive way. She entered the house and made her way up to her bedroom, where Brent was sitting on her bed watching MTV.

"Hey baby." Brent said sadly, not taking his eyes off the television. "Panic is nominated for video of the year at the VMAs this year..." Lexi sat down beside him and grabbed his hand. While it had been almost a year since he had been kicked out, but that didn't change the fact that he was still very hurt.

"I'm sorry Brent..." Lexi whispered, although she was secretly very happy for the boys and the level of success they had achieved in such a short time. "So are you coming to the show tonight?" She asked, quickly changing the subject.

"I wish that I could but some of us actually have to work for a living." Brent snapped, standing up. He gently kissed her on the forehead. "Have fun though. You'll kick ass." With that, he walked out of the room. Lexi sighed heavily and sprawled out across her bed. She tried desperately to push the thought out of her head but no matter how hard she tried, Lexi couldn't help but think that her and Brent were drifting apart. The thought of their relationship completely falling apart terrified her considering that she had been with him and only him since she was 14. Four years is a long time. The band seemed to be taking off and they were graduating from high school in a few months and she wasn't sure what the future held for them. She sighed again and got up and threw some clothes in a bag and made her way back to Scott's house where they had all agreed to meet.

"We are Head First For Heart Ache. Thank you so much for coming out tonight!" Lexi placed her microphone in its stand and ran off stage, following Scott, Dan, and Eric. Once they were in their tiny dressing room, Dan scoped Lexi up and embraced her tightly. She giggled as she felt the adrenaline rushing through her veins.

"That was AWESOME!" He yelled happily, placing Lexi back on the ground. Everyone in the room chatted excitedly about the show that the band had put on. Lexi made her way to the bathroom and changed into her street clothes which really weren't very different from her stage clothes. She heard someone knock on the bathroom door.

"Lex, someone is here to see us." She heard Eric say from the other side. Lexi opened the door and asked him if he knew who it was. "He didn't say. He just asked to talk to us outside for a minute." Lexi shrugged and followed Dan, Scott, and Eric outside.

"Holy shit..." She whispered as they approached a tall male figure.

"Hey Lexi, how are you doing?" He said, embracing her.

"Awesome Pete! What the hell are you doing here?" She questioned, pulling away from him.

"Well, we're in town for a show tomorrow night and I got bored so I decided to check out some of the local talent. You guys were insanely awesome up there tonight!" He explained. Lexi giggled.

"Thanks Pete. This is Dan, our drummer, Eric, our bassist, and Scott, our guitarist. Guys, this is Pete Wentz." Lexi introduced them.

"How the hell do you know Pete Wentz?" Eric asked in awe of the fact that Pete Wentz was standing in front of them.

"I hung out with him a few times when Brent was still in Panic! At the Disco." Lexi replied simply, not wanting to go into too much detail. "Um so Pete, how ware things going with Fall Out Boy?" She asked, quickly changing the subject.

"Really good thanks! We are just putting the finishing touches on our new CD and are hitting the road in the new year." He explained. "But I really should get going. We are playing tomorrow so I should get back to the hotel and try to get some rest. Do you guys want to come hang out with us?"

"That would be awesome!" Scott said happily. Pete grinned as he gave them each a pass. He wrote his phone number on the one he handed to Lexi.

"See you tomorrow." With that, he disappeared into the crowd.
