  I really loved this. Kain/Edge wasn't really something I would have thought up before ... but having just in the last few months gotten myself exposed to FFIV, I did immediately take to the Kain/Cecil/Rosa triangle. I have to say I particularly enjoyed the not-as-game-translation dialogue; somehow Palom and Porom speaking like 20th century teenages always threw me off anyway.

  This is a great story. I like the sense of understanding that Edge conveys, and the cultural differences that you bring out between Eblan and Baron, especially since the game doesn't really explore those angles. I also really like Kain's edgy, "back off!" reaction to Edge's pushing him. Very nice!
