"Aijii.Why do I always get left behind?" she cried softly into his lap. "I'm big enough now so Chichi-ue doesn't have to carry me any more."
"I know Aiko-chan.You know what?" he said softly as he stroked her long silvery locks.
"What?" she said as she looked up at him and dried her tears.
"I'm glad you were left behind." He smiled at her.
"Really?" She smiled and flicked her dog ears at the approaching sound. Turning around, she cried, "Chichi-ue!"
"Aiko-chan you know what? Chichi-ue's found you a husband," Sesshomaru said as he looked his nephew in the eye.
