My name is Molly.
I've been writing since August 2004. I started by writing fanfics, and my first stories were posting on Quizilla. I've also published on GC Fanfics. I've been posting on Ficwad since November 2005 under another account.
Why did I create a new account? It's an attempt to start over, I suppose (hence why I have not posted a link to my old account). The "183" in my username is a reference to Blink-182, one of my favorite bands. I chose "183" (182 + 1) as a symbol of starting over; starting something new.
The stories published here will be similar to ones on my other account, but I hope a little more grown up. All stories here will be originals- not fanfics. I might post "rewrites" of old stories on here, so if you see a story that seems similar to one you've read before on this site, it's probably because it is. If my writing style seems familiar, that's also probably because it is.
I'm writing primarily in the drama/romance genre, but of course there might be a little angst and perhaps some fluff on occasion. There might be some songfics, and you can expect that music will be an element in most (if not all) of my stories.
Stories you can expect in the not-so-distant future:
Feeling Alive- Natasha is far from spontaneous and a little uptight. Zane is free-spirited and just a bit crazy. What happens when the two cross paths following the summer's biggest concert tour?
Face the Strange- A role on a hit TV show leads Jeff, an aspiring actor from a small Midwestern town, to move to Los Angeles. It's everything he's ever dreamed of, but will it really make him happy?
Plus possibly short stories inspired by the music of Sum 41, Box Car Racer, and Bon Jovi.
Update 1/10/12: I'm in the process of releasing my first book, Faded, Stupid, and Reckless. I should be getting a proof next week, after which it will be up for sale.
Update 1/13/11: Chapters 7-9 of "There She Goes" are posted. Enjoy!
Update 12/31/10: Chapter 6 of "There She Goes" is [finally] posted! I have at least some material for each of the next four chapters (Chapters 7-10) so hopefully they'll get posted soon. I've working on a lot of character development stuff, like fictional "interviews" with the characters, that I'm hoping to put in the story at a later date (hey, musicians get interviewed all the time!). I've also been writing some lyrics for the Dancing Astronauts, which will definitely be included in some later chapters!
Update 12/26/10: Chapter 5 of "There She Goes" is posted! I'm finishing up Chapter 6 now, and decided to make it much shorter than it originally was, so Chapter 7 should follow soon.
Update 12/24/10: Chapters 5 and 6 are basically done, but they're not quite finished. I need to work on the timeline for the story (just to figure out some dates and stuff), but when that's done the chapters will be posted.
Update 12/21/10: Chapters 1-4 of "There She Goes" have been posted. Chapters 5 and 6 are pretty close to being finished, and I've got about a third of Chapter 7. No promise on when it'll be updated.
They like nothing. Harsh.
