That was wonderful. I've only been able to watch the first season of Dark Angel so I have no idea what was going on but the point of view was very touching and rather bitter-sweet. Do you think you'll ever write a fic where Max and Cindy get together. It seems like they could have at one time late in the first season of the show. I'll admit though, that if the powers that be had written an episode where Cindy expressed her love for Max in such a serious way I imagine that it would follow a plot line similar to your story.
