The Right Thing

You showed the awkwardness of new relationship so well; how everything is all damning rejection or uplifting, life affirming love. I adored the metaphor with the coffee. I loved Ed taking charge and, if not exactly knowing what he was doing, faking it so well. The hints of Maes were interesting, too. Did he reject or was he killed? I'd like to read that story as well.
I think I loved the bit about the gloves being rough best. It was so logical and real.
