Thank you! I always thought Dudley had the potential to be more than just the "stupid fat bully" he's presented as in the books... and his short scene in "Deathly Hallows" certainly seemed to support this theory.
It probably wouldn't be easy for him, but I do think that Dudley could, over time and if given the proper chance, grow up to be a decent person... and this is one suggestion of how this might have happened.
