I really enjoyed the starkness of this story. I think my favorite line is -
"But even paper intentions were better than nothing at all."
this is such a different man than the one we see on the show, that if written differently it would scream 'Out of Character' but you show beautifully the inner workings of a disillusioned man. I can see how it evolved.
Very compelling stuff!
