whistles I liked the touch of personal reminisences about individuals in "our" reality as compated to that one. The timeline was quite interesting and informative.
I truly suspect that what happened at Hogwarts is not going to dissuade too many, they've been conditioned by Tom's teachers for too long. Their loss as I doubt "The Reaper" is going to be too picky about punishing those who've earned it. Both WIlliam Weaseley and Lucius Malfoy have earned it in spades and their punishment will fit. Given 'our' Ron, I doubt that this Ron is salvageable, but one can hope that this Ginny is smart enough to pull her head out of the junk she's been fed.
So Shacklebolt's an Auror here, too. One could -almost- feel sorry for him as he encounters a force he can't handle, one Tommy-boy can barely deal with. He's made his deal with the devil, or one close to him, and he's going to have to live (for a little while longer, anyway0 with the bill. I don't envy him in the least as he gets nowhere and Tom gets impatient.
Author's response
Harry isn't looking to change minds, he's looking to scare them to death. He has taken the mantle of terrorist to heart, and is striking at their soft underbelly, not killing their kids, but they know that he could have if he wanted and there wasn't a think Tom could have done about it.
