I can see you're taking your time with those two, not rushing things, and it's better that way, of course. It's obvious Charlie is attracted to May, and he's intrigued too. Good combination.
I like May. And the way you're developing her. You're characterizing her through her actions, her words, her belongings... rather than writing a long descriptive paragraph detailing every aspect of her. And I like it better that way. I know lots of people like the long descriptions, but I tend to skip parts of them, whereas I remember the details when they are parts of the story and flow with the rest. Am I making any sense? lol.
