An American Wizard in Hogwarts

Well, the reference here to HItchhiker's Guide..." is clearly the number "42" in the name of the broom. The only better one I've seen is in Meteoric Shipyard's "Luna's Hubby" where Harry gets a "Fireball XL5".

I liked this and the varied reactions of all the characters to being new at Hogwarts and their first classes. I daresay Harry's definitely a lot more active a person here and I like that. The line about all the Purebloods moving to Arkansas was a hoot, though I'm not sure I'd even wish -that- on Arkansas, though it -might- be suitable revenge on Hope, AR for their "gift" to America.

Author's response

You were correct. I don't want to give up to much. I will say that I have an idea for a hex that comes from the stage name of one of the members of GWAR, Flattus Maximus. I think you can guess what it does. I don't know who it will be used on, or when, but it will be used.

I don't understand the "Fireball XL5" thing. or Hope, Arkansas, for that matter.
