Review for The Bulldog and the Archer

The Bulldog and the Archer

I enjoy this story so much..... I loved how Charlie attempted to keep his relationship with May private, but had no qualms in admitting it when Molly snooped. Sigh....Molly might mean well, but there are times when she's irritating. It was good to see the inteaction between Charlie and the rest of his family, and the talk with Fleur was sweet. I hope that at some point Charlie and May get together with Bill and Fleur and have an oppourtunity to bond as engaged couples. I also liked the interactions that Charlie and Bill had with Dumbledore, there is the sense that he is preparing for his death but trying to make sure that both his personal and public matters are dealt with smoothly. The scene at the ministry was very good, and I thought that Charlie and Dumbledore handled Percy and Scrimgeour perfectly. As always, many thanks for the chapter! You have written a wonderful story!

Author's response

I always look forward to your reviews, Teresa! Thank you very much for taking the time to do so, and for your kind comments.

There's no chance that Molly would not find out about it. Especially with the sucker bite! Originally, I planned on her finding it later, and not giving in that she knew, but I like this way. Plus, with Fleur underfoot, trying to get along with Molly, she would be a bit 'testy' about little surprises.

You'll see a chapter before the end of this story where Charlie and May get to spend some time as a couple with some of Charlie's friends in Romania. Another story, which is on hold until I finish Bulldog, will have more of Charlie and May (in the background) as a married couple (It's a Ron/Hermione post DH story).

I'm glad you appreciated the portions of the story concerning Dumbledore. You are right about everything you observed.

Thanks again, Teresa!
